Went for a PXG fitting today, Went through everything plus more, Came away with the 0317 T irons, And 2 degree flat which i have always been standard, Could not fault 1 item, highly recommended, Thank you Tom Johnson ( PXG fitter).

Excellent fitting session and impressive facilities. Had a fitting last year for a PXG driver at the Drift and it was informative and enjoyable. As others below have said, no big sales push but a good discussion about the customer’s aims/objectives.
I play PXG 2011 XCore2 irons and at my age and slower swing speeds, they have allowed me to play the same distance as 10 yrs ago with my weaker lofted, forged Mizunos. The feel is not as soft but still much softer than the other strong lofted irons I have tried from other manufacturers. PXG has nailed quality combined with technology and I don' think they get as much credit as they deserve. I also have a PXG 0317 hybrid that I rely on instead of a 4 iron. Laser straight. Good to see you out and about, Dan.
Played PXG Gen 3 “T” irons for a while and absolutely loved them (thanks EasyJet for absolutely battering them on a flight home 👍🏼) so will definitely be looking at the 0317 line this year! Great video as always DH 👏🏼

Best fitting session I've ever seen. Better than the range ball sessions most of us have to put up with. Don't forget you should get a bit more spin off grass compared to the mat. Very nice.

When I got fit last year I went for +4 grips. Just happened to be on the shaft I tried and just felt right. Pretty much the only sport where the grip is different for top and bottom hand! +4 just makes sense. 👍

I switched to the Black Ops Driver and Hybrid, 0311 XP Hybrid, 0311P Gen 6 irons, and Battle Ready 2 putter. I haven't played this well in many years. I attribute that to the excellent fitting session at PXG, Detroit.

great fitting ad delivery is good played gen 4 for a while but found them a little heavy but going to have a fitting with pxg again shortly see what would be best for a senior golfer like me the clubs you chose must be the best looking irons out there at the moment good luck in turkey look forward to coverage

Love fitting videos. I just don't understand when people go in for fitting, they sound like they want the fitter to create what they already have in the bag. "Yes, I'd like the exact same weight and flex in the shaft and a head that goes the same as I'm currently hitting" lol Not saying that's what happened here, ... but kinda. Don't get me wrong, I'm a magpie and if its just to have something new and shiny, I'm with you!😀
Nice vid! Thanks for the look into your fitting! Went to the DG120 shaft myself a few seasons back and haven't looked back -- all the stability of the S300 but the reduction in weight really helps, as one gets older like myself, but without any loss of control -- cheers!
Been fitted for the same irons, they looked, felt and performed amazing... Wish they only took 5 days though... I've been waiting 8 weeks from Club Champion in Sydney... 🙄😪

I think a good fitter for any of the top brands is a must, you don't buy a car without a test drive do you. PXG have come a long way since their astronomical prices when they first appeared in the market place. No doubting their tech from your fitting process. Hope you play well with them going forward.
I got the 0311 gen 4 X driving iron last year direct from them for £119 including shipping. It’s a rocket. Self fitted on the website though so no doubt could get even more out of it if I got fitted.
Brilliant Dan , lovely irons , enjoy your 2024 season m8 , really strange that im exactly the same as you , i have a slightly slower swing speed than the s300 but i love the weight and everything about that shaft , ive tried loads of different shafts but always stay with the dg s300 120g , love the weight and i play d3 to 3.5 ...... Really hope you enjoy your irons and your golf you bloody deserve it bud ⛳👍

Hi Dan I did think that you would go PXG they do look a really nice club and your knowledge means that you understand a lot more than a smuck like me lol. I think that fitting was excellent and probably the best I’ve seen. It obviously helps when you really know your own swing and distribution and distances or where your bad shots are. Most joe blogs don’t really have a clue,but it’s also about the look,and feel did you film getting fit for driver and woods and maybe hybrid 😊
Great video Dan. Been play PXG since gen 1, now on gen 6, but just getting exactly what are getting. Worrying as you’re much than me, hgen6 are great but the look of the e31q7 is mmmmm. Alo going 7 wood and hybrid in black ops 😂 the sugar daddy wedges are superb by the way.
Great fitting Dan I got a 1/2 set of these when they came out and like them but still think that the T150 feel better/softer And as touch more forgiving. But pxg make a great product. The black ops driver is what has me v intrigued.
Traditionalist like me I’m a low spin player so have my i500s in retro lofts, love the current range of pxg clubs and am definitely going to have a fitting later in the year How many line balls Dan😁

i do think a different shaft would have brought the spin up without bending lofts which surely must affect the bounce. i find i spin kbs tour shafts more than any other. i wasn't convinced about the fit process dent the lack of shaft options.
Interesting video. I got Srixon ZX7’s from SGGT last year and ended up with a plus 4 grip too Are you noticing any difference in strike or turf interaction from the reduction in bounce due to the loft reduction?
If you wanted more spin and a higher flight. You could have just changed your golf ball. Also when you put heavier grips on, did it change your swing weight?

I got fitted for driver and fairways! Never played so many fairways. Got a fitting for irons and putting hybrids in soon. Brilliant fit. 👍👍

Looks good, although you can get decent telephone advice from PXG it would be nice to see more fitting centres around England.
Good video, thought you may have tried some graphite to up the spin and swing weight.
