Just saw these guys live last night. Best concert ever. Hands down, and I've been to many, Christian and secular, over the last 45 years. Different drummer lazt night, who was awesome, BTW, and, I'm putting this out there; Chris Llewellyn is unmatched vocally, across any genre. I didn't appreciate his gift until I saw them live. His range is virtually unlimited. If you haven't seen Rend Collective live, go see them. Your life will be better for it. ✝️
Chris is brilliant but man I wish they would write songs that the average guy can sing :) I would love to do this one at church but haven't managed it yet
@brentlatham5529 Yes. It is a challenge. That said, I've seen many covers where that challenge has been overcome with a key change, etc. In the secular world, for example, there are many acoustic versions of the Iron Maiden song called "Wasted Years" that are slowed way down. Some say those are better than the original. I, too, am frustrated with my own limitations, so I have to basically make a song my own in many cases, working within my own limitations. If it doesn't honor the original, though, I just accept it and move on. 🤷
❤ Saw RC 3 nights ago and i dont have words to express their energy, enthuiasm (God within us), their ability to incorporate praise into music with a huge helping of Irish!! They had a "campfire" on front of stage to simulate singing on the beach, which they apparently did 10 years ago. The level of joy they radiated was so intense you couldnt sit down because your body just kept wanting to express your love of God and gratitude for grace! we were told after the concert that Chris, the lead singer was sick that night but honestly you couldn't tell because his vitality never quit. He poured himself into the music and love for God and for us. Every band member was amazingly talented. Thank you guys for sharing your gifts!! Rest and restore, Chris!❤
Even if....man that speaks right to the heart. There are so many days that things just comicly just get worse. However, even if....those days take place, how does your heart react? Do you yield to the obserdity, or do you cry out hallelujah with the last bit you have left? Beautiful song. HALLELUJAH ANYWAY!
I love this song so much that I walk around singing EVEN IF...and I add my own lyrics when I run out of theirs or can't remember them. Even if the sun will never shine; Even if I mess up all the time, etc. I wish the mainstream Christian stations were playing it more. I'm going to look up their concert schedule.
