I recently watched Michael Horn's video on KDE vs Gnome gaming latency and I think it's conclusion might apply to Hyprland here - it feels smoother because undisplayed frames are dropped instead of being vsynced...?
hi brother you've helped me in the past so i hope i can help you.on hyprland it feels like it performs but not running at feel speed despite the smoothness.i noticed in my own experience hyprland doesn't have a power profiles manager applet i installed powerprofilesctl and noticed on hyprland the default mode is set to balanced and not performance. changing to performance might help😊
Looking forward to the follow up.
I used ml4w arch script to see how everything works. I now use a custom bar. Hyprland is all i login to now. Cosmic will also.
let me know how it is for gaming and what setup's you did to make it work well.
