I love the Gustavian finishes and you absolutely nailed it! I have always wanted a Mora clock and found a miniature one! It is about 18" tall and painted a ucky yellow. I am going to copy your technique to give it the Gustavian finish and add a small transfer to embellish it just a little. So happy for you guys as the church is coming together so nicely.
Jami loved all the colors you used. If you ever see old flannel baby crib sheets they make great wax rags. The older the better. No lint just cut them up.👍❤️ Zeb next time remember white paint,white t-shirt 😂
I love what you've done to update those thrifted pieces. I have those exact tall candle sticks (they came in a set of 3 years ago at costco). I tried painting them a couple years ago when I first started following you guys, but haven't been happy with my first attempt at updating something - too much black wax 😆! I'm super excited to try adding a few new layers for an updated look! Love your videos!
Beautiful work as usual. Curious if dark wax over the decoupage woukd blend the edge of artwork w black background? Also, why are the ceiling joists being painted in the church? I would think you'd like the old patina. Or is that some sort of sealer?
