This was super helpful. To hear you say what you were seeing and what settings you were using to capture what you were seeing. Do it again. Loved it. Thanks for trying something new.
No hate coming your way for this type of video. Quite the opposite. I found it quite useful and entertaining (as usual). Some definite "Omar" shots in there - the bicycles, the motorcycle, the contrasty B&W by the water. But I really like to see what you saw, hear you picking out subjects, working through various shots, fine tuning composition or exposure, etc. It's what more photographers need to see and hear - get away from the gear stuff and on to actual shooting and the creative process. Please...do more of these. We'd love to see them.
Thanks Omar I haven’t done street yet but it looks like a blast. I very much enjoy your take on photography it’s very relaxing non stressful shooting. Great eye. I will give it a shot, I have a 35 and 85 prime and I think I would enjoy the 85 for street oddly enough.
The 56mm 1.2 that was the first lens I ever fall in love with. This lens is amazing and one of the reasons I couldn't sell my xt-4 when I switch to FF.
Well that was fun, hope you do it again. Really like the shots from the boardwalk section. Lots of good ones. not that any of your shots are bad. And We learned how to do pigeon photography. Win all around. Thanks
This is a great video. Being someone who has never done any street photography it was really interesting hearing the thought process that went into the different shots. It would be great to see more of this type of video.
This was enjoyable and helpful. In a reply to a comment, you provided a link to Pat Kay’s video about pattern recognition. Wonderful, thank you! Great teaching/learning moment.
Seeing your excellent shots with the 56 1.2 reminded me to take mine with me on my next street outing! Nice video, not horrible, far from it! Thanks for your work.
I'm french, I live in Bordeaux and I love your channel. You're such a funny guy and what I love in your videos is that your make it all realistic and understandable. I've watched a lot of your videos on the X-T20 and you made me buy one ! Keep going like this.
This video just made me thinking on buying an x100v when walking with my 100-400mm, to avoid having to change lenses. Thanks again Omar, for making me thinking aboht spending more money. Thank you.
Buy it, Rafael! I’ve had mine for about three months and it’s absolutely stellar in all the ways I need it to be for street photography. The (phenomenal) fixed lens will free you! 😀
I like hearing you think out your shots, its what we all do. You're doing a great job. You're mixing up the "types" of street photography in this session but I think its what I do as well as its hard to resist the pull of certain shots when they present themselves. Thanks Omar!
This was really nostalgic for me personally. I lived in JC last yr and took the PATH every week to NYC. I wasn't into photography at the time but it's interesting to see your street photography pov in an area I use to walk and bike around for a yr. Cheers
you did fine. perfectly watchable and some nice images out of it. I keep the allen wrench that fixes my tripod/camera QR and tripod base tightness. Have used it a zillion times... It sits verticle on one side with the short leg point in toward the tri-fold...
This video is just great, I feel like I'm learning a lot about exploring the potential of a Fuji camera and just composing a picture in general, thank you, Omar. I will receive my first fuji in a week and I just can't wait!
Omar, great video and yes, we enjoyed it! I love the shots with the 16mm. You should do another walk around with just that lens. Also, I’m totally going to try putting myself in the shoot like that sometime. Haha.
Like always awesome work Omar love these types of videos walking in the environment taking pictures and showing your results get to learn a lot this way also entertaining to watch thank you awesome content like always!
At 5:40 the light on that building was tasty, better than the world trade shot you took I think. What a fun, chilled, informative video man, just what I needed to start my Sunday morning here in the UK.Would LOVE to see you do more of these.Great job as always.Thank you so much.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Fan from Germany here. New Jersey looks really nice. Kind of unexpected. You always see NYC but never really see anything from NJ. Nice. Oh and more POVs pls. Love them :)
Dude your just awesome!!!! You’re just so ... who you are as a photographer! What a way to learn! Yes, you have something here! Thank you for sharing your tutorial/ fails/ perfect & imperfections. Absolutely wonderful! The topper would be that you’re just genuinely a funny relaxed humorously entertaining! Take care dude!
Nice. I take the 56 on the street all the time, it’s such a beautiful lens and compact - so much bang for buck. I like the 50-140 lens more in general tbh , but that beast isn’t going into my bag for street photos let alone come out of the bag lol.
It's interesting that you used the 56mm as a walk around lens--I recently got the 35mm 1.4 and 55-200 but am considering selling both and just getting the 56mm 1.2. I think its my favorite focal length now, very usable on the street!
X-S10 adds a 25% crop on fast bursts. Sometimes I use it for the moon or macro shots. I can take single shots in slow burst mode, so I do that when I think I might see, say, birds in flight, without enough warning to change settings.
Great edgy walk around street photography music track 😉 Love this style video and every bit of its “horribleness” lol It’s helpful and of course lots of chuckles. ☺️
Hey, Omar. Just want to let you know that the tutorials you made on the xt20 are very helpful. At 57 I just started my photography hobby and chose a used xt20 paired with a used xf27 mm f2.8 lens. I have watched, rewatched and tripled watch your tutorials. My camera is scheduled to arrive today. Thanks again
I am not a fan of POV videos, but you’re good even in this! I was laughing even before you scare the pigeons, I knew you would do it with a funny way! Hahaha 🤣
Absolutely loved this video and the live/realtime narration in the moment. SO many of these POV style photography videos narrate in post production, but this was WAY better narrative on the run. Great work 🤙🏼
Great stuff. And good encouragement for the many people who must be a bit like me. By that, I mean I go around with the 56mm f1.2 and the 14mm f2.8, but nothing in between (!), so I'm always looking for reassurance that I can get by with a couple of very different primes.
@@ogonzilla I just bought the 18-55mm f2.8-f4.0 OIS. I've spent so long pondering buying the hefty 16-55 lens f2.8 (but feeling like its combo of being big and heavy, no OIS, with unnecessary WR, didn't fit my X-T30), that I didn't realise the 18-55mm f2.8-f4.0 OIS was staring me in the face and should be a great fit! So I'll try that. After 2 years or more of amatuer photography, mainly in and around London England, I did find I needed something between the 14mm and 56mm primes that I had. I got good at pixel-peeping, but found the camera was dominating me a bit too hard on limiting my options for composition. I was missing a lot of photo opportunities. Though I still love my 56mm f1.2 dearly and it's a keeper. The 14mm still has a place, as I take a lot of photos in hospital and it's great for photos in cramped little rooms of people being vaccinated etc.
Loved it. Especially the duck walk to scare pigeons, thats a technique I'll have to try. More POV.
This is what I'm waiting for, the POV of your Street Photography. make a lot video like this! Love it
how ugly are cities with skyscrapers ...
I’m here for the pigeon photography.
This was super helpful. To hear you say what you were seeing and what settings you were using to capture what you were seeing. Do it again. Loved it. Thanks for trying something new.
Yes! It's always good to witness someone's workflow first hand. Thanks! 👍
Universal fact: POV street photography is relaxing to watch to. Therefore, make more of these.
No hate coming your way for this type of video. Quite the opposite. I found it quite useful and entertaining (as usual). Some definite "Omar" shots in there - the bicycles, the motorcycle, the contrasty B&W by the water.

Omar! So good! Love it! You saying what you are looking for in some of the shots is so helpful.
Make sure to check out the Optical Wander who inspired this video! th-cam.com/channels/7o64rkXin-ZS_gU6_pBDvA.html
That was actually really interesting.
Thanks Omar I haven’t done street yet but it looks like a blast. I very much enjoy your take on photography it’s very relaxing non stressful shooting. Great eye. I will give it a shot, I have a 35 and 85 prime and I think I would enjoy the 85 for street oddly enough.
Enjoy! I like the 56 (85mm) for street.
Loved this format. One of your best videos. Do more of this, I’ll watch it.
Loved seeing my city JC! I got into photography after I moved away and so great to see Exchange Place through a photographer's eye.
The yellow building used to be the Flamingo Diner, a favorite of WFMU DJs (the station is briefly visible just before you take photos of the flowers).
The 56mm 1.2 that was the first lens I ever fall in love with. This lens is amazing and one of the reasons I couldn't sell my xt-4 when I switch to FF.
It's great to hear your thoughts as you look and photograph subjects. More of this please!
Well that was fun, hope you do it again. Really like the shots from the boardwalk section. Lots of good ones. not that any of your shots are bad. And We learned how to do pigeon photography. Win all around. Thanks
I actually love it very much. It's fun and useful tips too. This is very real. Please give more of such contents. 😍😍😍
I like that you talked through your thought process.
No man this was cool! Great to hear your thoughts as you do your thing. :)
What a fabulous video for Fujifilm X-T3 Users. Thank you, Omar.
This is a great video. Being someone who has never done any street photography it was really interesting hearing the thought process that went into the different shots. It would be great to see more of this type of video.
Great video Omar! Make more and more of this kind of video! I learned a lot about what to look for in street photography. Thanks
Thank you Omar! Watching your videos I decided to buy my X-T3. I love this wonderful camera!
Greetings from Japan 👍
What a cool tip with pigeons!! Nice, I will try that funny thing too :)
This was enjoyable and helpful. In a reply to a comment, you provided a link to Pat Kay’s video about pattern recognition. Wonderful, thank you! Great teaching/learning moment.
More of these please! Loved your commentary; very helpful video.
Seeing your excellent shots with the 56 1.2 reminded me to take mine with me on my next street outing! Nice video, not horrible, far from it! Thanks for your work.
Really enjoyed the lesson in picture composition and fixed lens usage. Please do more! Only next time limit apologies to one every 5 pictures.
We deserve more of this Omar!
Yes please keep making these - great seeing locations when we are not allowed to travel I was surprised how few people were out and about
Thanks for taking us the photo walk! Great images.
That was great. Really interesting to see the city and your decision-making process. I would definitely love more videos like this.
I'm french, I live in Bordeaux and I love your channel. You're such a funny guy and what I love in your videos is that your make it all realistic and understandable. I've watched a lot of your videos on the X-T20 and you made me buy one ! Keep going like this.
Actually this is what I was looking for, for a long time!! Great great great!! Thanks
really helpful. Not many like this on youtube. Do more please!
Love this type of video from you…. Really can learn so much! As always love your humor…. Keep the POV videos coming😀
This video just made me thinking on buying an x100v when walking with my 100-400mm, to avoid having to change lenses. Thanks again Omar, for making me thinking aboht spending more money. Thank you.
I have an X-Pro3, I think I will actually buy an X-T4 to put the 100-400 in it, and leave the 16mm with the X-Pro3
The black & white self portrait you made with the timer came out super cool! I don't think it's cheating, I'd say... using what was available!
Way more of this, Omar. It's really inspiring. Thanks, man!
This was really nostalgic for me personally. I lived in JC last yr and took the PATH every week to NYC. I wasn't into photography at the time but it's interesting to see your street photography pov in an area I use to walk and bike around for a yr. Cheers

Its great. Walk around and talking is cool. Dont change this, its a good concept!
Hi Omar...I absolutely love this video...it's great to see and hear your your thoughts as you go round..more please lol 👍🤗
Great to watch the "thought process".....very useful video.
This video is just great, I feel like I'm learning a lot about exploring the potential of a Fuji camera and just composing a picture in general, thank you, Omar. I will receive my first fuji in a week and I just can't wait!

Pigeon shot is awesome.
Thank you, Omar! Inspiring! Great ideas!

F2.0 35mm or F1.4 23mm and F1.2 56mm my fav goto primes👍🏼
Great to see your photographers eye and hear your narrative thinking. Very recognisable.
Nice. I take the 56 on the street all the time, it’s such a beautiful lens and compact - so much bang for buck. I like the 50-140 lens more in general tbh , but that beast isn’t going into my bag for street photos let alone come out of the bag lol.

Great vlog, enjoyed watching this one.
That was really cool! Thanks for sharing.
I really appreciate and enjoyed your video. You explain what you are doing, really useful Omar. 👏👏👏
Nice way to practice your creativity! And like always very nice video!
You do exactly what I did with pigeons :) I want the 56mm 1.2 WR :)
G'day Omar, I really enjoyed this, you did a fine job.

That was fun! Thanks for the adventure 📷
Looks like a nice area to visit and to see the NYC skyline. Maybe even an area to go on a weekend to then hop over to the city on an Uber or ferry
That was so much fun Omar! Way to go mixing it up. Love to see more of these. You could take Moe along too.
I’m a new subscriber and have thoroughly enjoyed your honestly and humour! Also I LOVE this style of POV / thought process videos

I died at “oooooh bug street photography, new genre” 😂😂😂
Amazing POV. love it
You are the best Omar 😉✨
This was great dude. More! You're great at POV stuff.
I love these types of videos, make more! also would love to see you use my favorite focal length 85mm!
Yo this was a great video man! You killed it! Love to see more of these 👍 👍
This was amazing!!!
Omg you were in my neighborhood! Great video!

Love it! Nice and refreshing!
