Swift Water Rescue Training

This week, Arlington Professional Firefighters had 10 members complete a rigorous, 4 day training course to become certified Swift Water Rescue Technicians at the NYS DHSES State Preparedness Training Center. Our members attended this class along side of our Joint Technical Rescue Team partners, City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department NY Local 596, LaGrange Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3813, and the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Students learned and trained on various swift water survival and rescue techniques. This video depicts the technician candidates executing many of the skills learned to successfully affect rescues in swift moving water. We continually strive to ensure that we are prepared to provide our community with the best service possible, in any emergency situation. Congratulations to our new Swift Water Rescue Technicians!
