This went from one of the most frustrating performances in Alabama history to one of the most improbable and memorable wins ever. It was very satisfying to see Alabama turn the tables in this series by stealing one with a miracle finish - it has been decades since Alabama handed Auburn a heartbreaking loss like this. In fact, I can never remember seeing another Iron Bowl that felt so much like the roles were reversed. This one will live forever in Iron Bowl lore.
Based on what we've seen from this team and comments from Saban, I have never had the impression that this was a national championship caliber team. I said around the midway point of the season that if they could sweep their rivals and win the West, I would consider this year a success. This team has now achieved that, so anything from here on out is just a bonus in my eyes. Roll Tide.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I told my friends that once, JUST ONCE, in my life, I wanted to reverse the roles and steal a win versus Auburn in a heartbreaking fashion. Now that it has happened, I'm fine with NEVER having a heartstopper like that again!!

This is one of my favorite Alabama teams ever. It’s really incredible how much this extremely young team has accomplished following in the footsteps of the last few teams we’ve had and Saban just telling them to have fun! If we can play with that same passion against Georgia, it will be a really good game. Thanks for the upload!

Exactly the same for me, BR. That night in the Iron Bowl WAS our "National Championship".

Maybe the 1996 game when Alabama's offense completely fell apart after the first quarter and then somehow managed a miracle drive in the last two minutes to win 24-23. That was the last Iron Bowl I attended in person. In fact, I thought of that game because Freddie Kitchens, like Bryce Young, wore #9.

12 play 97 yard TD drive to tie the game. Not many teams can do that. Roll Tide🐘🐘

"Heisman moment" for Bryce Young, in my opinion. Barring some sort of complete disaster against Georgia.

@@BamaRewind But there was no disaster. The young men of the Alabama Crimson Tide, under the captainship of Bryce Young, and the steady, fatherly hand of Nicholas Saban, carried the day in Atlanta, Georgia. Bryce would receive the Heisman in that cold, gray December evening in New York City. What the rest of 2021 held for those men in crimson and white...well, sir, I really couldn't tell you. But in the conference championship game, the Alabama football team won through

This game reminds me a lot of the 2014 game against LSU with Blake Sims. When we fumbled in our own 10 with 2 mins i stopped watching and heard from a friend that we went to OT.
This game made me physically ill and it was very late (watching from Germany) so once we got within 2mins and auburn had the ball i just passed out. Woke up in the morning absolutely shocked.

Firing Malzahn was a big mistake for Auburn. I think a lot of us Bama fans were relieved to see him go. Malzahn wasn't a phenomenal coach or anything, but he was at his best in close games and tense moments. His teams found ways to win, even when the other team deserved it more. They also found ways to get creative offensively. Harsin seems to be just the opposite of both those things

Yup. We’ll finally get more than 3 wins in a row. 15 straight against Tenn, 7 straight over UGA and Florida, 8 straight over LSU, 15 straight against Miss St etc etc but only 3 straight against the barners. We’ll get 5/6/7

Auburn knew exactly when they’d lose this game 20:47

I know the outcome cause I watched it live, but with 1:47 to go in the game, I just said, "How did we win this?"

I'm glad they win the game but this the undiscipline team I've ever seen under coach Saban.

Our defense played great. 2019 defense was atrocious. So please stop and enjoy the win dummy
