Churros Cubano • 1 cup all-purpose flour • 1 cup water • 1 tsp of salt • 1 tsp Vanilla • vegetable oil • 1/4 cup Sugar & 1-2 tsp of Cinnamon powder 1. Bring water to a boil add salt. 2. Some people add butter but I don’t. I like to keep it as close to the traditional recipe. 3. Next add Vanilla. Stir together. 4. Add flour & mix well until the flour is completely moistened & becomes lumpy. Remove the pot from stove to prevent it from burning. 5. Continue to mix the dough until it has an almost smooth consistency. It will cool while you stir it. 6. Next add spoonfuls of dough into a Pastry bag or a Zip loc bag with a wide star tip to form the ridges. 7. Preheat your oil. 8. Carefully squeeze the dough from the Pastry bag into the hot oil forming a circle or straight lines. 9. Fry them until they are brown enough for your liking. Flip them on the other side & fry until brown. 10. Remove them & drain on paper towel. 11. Place them into a plate with a mixture of sugar & Cinnamon powder 12.
