    As someone who hate Razer logo and its green color, I love the fact that they make this version. This is the perfect minimalist Windows alternative for Macbook M1/M2 Pro.

    This is an awesome video on the performance side! It’s surprising that the Optimus sometimes can reach higher FPS than dGPU, perhaps it’s just the CPU power bottleneck and dGPU may still have lower latency even with lower FPS. I think you can create another video about the traveling side considering that the 14 inch is much more portable and the Mercury color looks so perfect for attending research meetings. The battery life (60Hz iGPU for sure), quiet mode noise, casual gaming with 100W PD instead of original charger, thermal feeling when typing on lap (on a couch) can be covered on the portability side.

    I’m deciding between an xps 17 2023 with 4070 and razer blade 14 2023 mercury with 3070ti.
    may I know which would you recommend when both comes at a similar price tag? I realise both runs different chips.

    Super video ! Could you please make the exact measurements of the visible screen (in mm)? There are still no screen protectors available for this laptop and I thought to find another one which is also 16:10 and use it or adjust it slightly to fit on this one. I wonder if a screen protector meant for the Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 (2022) which is also 16:10 would fit on this one. Thank you !

    whats the fan noise on balanced mode or silent?, you didnt say what mode you were running to measure the fan noise on, I assume high high custom

      @@cutthat4643 Mine is 50 dB on Balanced and 54 dB on max fans (30cm measuring distance). G14 4080 was pretty much the same, only slightly louder (51 and 55 respectively).

      @tinybit780 thinking I'll get the 4070 RB14 I like the mix of cooler keyboard and internals and quieter compered to a more powerful g14 4080

      @@cutthat4643 Yes, and it feels more premium. G14 is annoyingly hot on the surface after a while.

    this is the 2023 version. You can tell by the vent cutouts near the battery on the bottom. He just has the specs wrong.

    is the Razer 14 quieter than a 2023 G14?

    • @techbypike
      @techbypike  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the G14 was 5-6 decibels quieter. I'll be working on a video for an Acer Predator 14" here real soon. Looking to see how that stacks up against the Razer and the Zephyrus G14.

    • @crearg8259
      @crearg8259 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@techbypikeReally, is the “louder” for gaming or for daily work? Notebookcheck got results that G14 is loud even at idle, while Blade 14 doesn’t make any noise until under load.

    • @techbypike
      @techbypike  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@crearg8259 that is a true statement

    • @tinybit780
      @tinybit780 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@techbypike I had both and also measured them with a dB meter: The Blade 14 was definitely 1-2 dB quieter on each mode! It's the same on Notebookcheck and other review outlets, by the way.
      Also, the G14 loses a lot of performance in lower modes than Turbo. I had the 4080 G14 and it had similar performance results to the Blade 14 4070 on balanced, because it stays in the sweet spot of its GPU (100W), while the G14 drops down to 80W. That's why I returned the G14, because it was so loud and hot on Turbo, and lost a lot of performance on Performance and Silent.
      In the end, I will probably stick with the Slim 7 Gen 8 because I am starting to like the 16" screen size while still being portable.
