I'm having my daughter's watch this at 9 and 10 to hopefully inspire them. So cool this video really shows the real ins and outs I'm so glad you got in👩🎓 congratulations
As a college grad, I must say you have a very mature perspective that most college seniors I know don't have. I especially love your thoughts on burdening friends while letting off steam. It is a true thing that most people aren't aware of.
I love your personality so, so much! It is evident to me you're not only intelligent in the "classic" sense of the word, but also emotionally intelligent, which is the best combo you can have. I really loved this video, great advice!
I love how genuine and honest you are. It’s inspiring to see how grateful you are. Thank you for for such amazing advice! I’m definitely going to take this with me when I go to smith college in the fall.

If you're not a member or someone who attends events, you have NO idea how many people struggle, especially for those who believe in the stigma. I'm glad you don't believe in the stigma. It's just something I'm passionate about.
I’m struggling so hard in college rn and this video is everything I needed! Thank you so much Siena! Now I need videos on studying smart and time management ASAP!
I'm watching this in my final year of high school and i decided to make a google calendar FOR THE FIRST TIME. I HAVE SO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS AFTER FINISHING MY ASSIGNMENTS !! also getting alot of study time. this changed my life, i can get some sleep

So make sure you don’t schedule too much on yourself in one day- because through time blocking you probably will! Get! It! All! Done! but it can be at the expense of your mental health~ good luck and praying for you all!
Your TH-cam videos about college really pushes me to be more organized and happy about education. You also make school seem so easy, and that really inspires me to try and make school easy for myself and to stop stressing myself for no reason. I love your videos!!!
awesome vid Sienna, I'm a H '23 stressing about year 1 and really enjoyed hearing what you've learned... like I keep nodding at the screen, you're being so real about everything. keep up the vids girl!
The stigma surrounding therapy is so insane to me, im from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and there's not a single person i know, that has never been to therapy, its the most common thing! Because its not only used as a worse case scenario type of resource. People just go to gain perspective on their current life, maybe minor problems, but its mostly to be aware of how they are feeling as life unfolds, guided by a professional who helps you. Im so glad that you brought that up to bring awareness and to lead as an example of what being healthy on the inside is! Love your videos
This video really motivated me to study harder for actually going to Harvard. To see those people I thought were "super smart cool people" ig idk how to word it but to see them also be human is so inspiring. Like I could be like you guys some day and I hope I will. Thank you so much 💕
I was in 8th last school year and one of my favorite teachers from that year (and in general) always, always, always told us to study smarter not harder and study a little bit everyday and she had one of the hardest classes at our school and I listened to her and always did well :) so it really works
I love that although you make videos like this to help us out and give back some of what you've learnt, it's also so clear that you really do this for you. I think that everyone watching your channel can really see how much your pour your heart into what you create. It's that quality in you - that you truly invest yourself into what you're passionate about - that makes your personality so magnetic and your content so dynamic and fun to watch. I've been watching your videos from the start and I'm so proud of how far you've come with this channel!!!! Keep it up, you're doing AMAZING and I already know that you are going to go so far! You inspire me :)
I love how self aware you are! I'm starting college at Emory in the fall and so hearing what you learned your freshman year was very helpful!! Could you make a video about how to do well academically in rigorous classes?!
i'm going into my freshman year of college this fall (i'm actually leaving for school in 3 weeks!!) and this video taught me so much and made me feel so much more confident. i feel like you've taught me so much more in 22 minutes than i've been taught in the past 18 years of my life, lol. thank you so much for this advice!!
During summer I watched this video and make it as a guide and now I'm in college done with the first semester watching this video again is really relatable.
Going to harvard is my ultimate goal! I’m from Germany and now taking the sat, toefl, act. Videos like this even motivate me more to pursue my dream! Thank u :)
Wowww Sienna that felt so so so authentic and real, right from the heart♥. I always wanted someone like a sister to be my guiding light and tell me about the lessons they learned and apply them to my life, to leverage my experience. Thank you soooooo much.💕😘💗 Love from India, Mumbai. 😊 I hope you're doing well and will pray that you have an awesome Harvard journey. 😇
hi sienna, you're one of my favourite youtubers, and i love all of your content! as a teen who aspires to go to harvard and study there in the future, your videos have been so helpful and really inspirational! thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and personal experiences, and i hope you have a good summer!
I’m starting a magnet program as a high school freshman next year, and this was so helpful for me. I feel so much more prepared and excited for it now. Thank you so much
Your English is so clear, I love that! I'm Russian and yet I can understand literally everything that you're saying. This is really helpful. By the way, you're adorable.💙
Ab - ra - ca - Deborah mine used to too!! haha i got over it pretty quickly in college tho just out of sheer necessity. it actually becomes such a time saver!

Sienna came into my work in Harvard square this past spring & she was so sweet! my boyfriend is a harvard grad now and it was amazing to see all they offered him over the years... love down to earth youtubers like sienna. keep it up girl! 💖

You are literally so inspirational I don’t even know you personally yet find you as such a good friend giving me advice, thank you so much for this video
Sienna - Great Vlog!!!! This video was such great advice for not only passing on to my kid who will be starting college this year as a freshman down in NC but also great advice for me (mom) as a person in the stressful, working world LOL. Love the advice about getting away from the "norm" and getting lost for the day somewhere....just for an hour or so. Everyone needs that. Keep up the great job!!!! Much success to you my dear at Harvard.
Hiya--- I really appreciated your video and enjoyed it! I do wanna say though--- what you mentioned with Harvard students comparing their google calendars to compete on who is busier is not very healthy, and promotes burnout. We shouldn't seek to be completely busy and overwhelmed just to be successful. Do what is right for you. And also--- don't forget to take a break and be honest with yourself about how you really feel, instead of constantly chasing. Once again, loved the vid and your healthy productive lifestyle. Fight on!
Hey Sienna, I am so thankful for your videos. They are so motivating and make me want to do the best I can to get as passionate about school and everything I do as you. Thank you so much
Wow. This video is an eye opener and fights back against stereotypes that in Harvard everyone is perfect. Great Video! You seem like a great person to be around. I wish you the best of luck in the rest of your time there, keep up the good work!
I LOVE your videos and started watching about when you started your channel. They have helped me so much, and I am attending Harvard this fall!! I would love to see a dorm essentials video from you because I am BEYOND lost with what to buy at home, what to buy there, and what to send. Thank for making great, relatable content!!!
Harvard and Harvard square really hold my heart!! Your videos bring me back. I danced at the ballet company across the street and attended Harvard Extension school. Highly recommend watching a Harvard Ballet Company show if you’re looking for something fun and different to do :)
@@beanq7488 how long did it take you to complete it? Besides expo 25, what courses can you take for the admissions courses? Also, did you take all 3 at the same time?
@@BrittneyPatrick it took about 4 years to complete my two years I had left of school! Sometimes I took 3 and sometimes I took 1 at a time due to my schedule. This was many years ago though so I’m not sure if it’s changed at all. I was a psych major so I took an introductory psych class along with personality theory and childhood development!
i love this! i matured sooooo much my freshman year it was crazy, these tips are so important i hope every highschooler going into college sees this video
I relate so much to the phone call point! I still really dislike making phone calls because I feel like I make such a better impression in person rather than on the phone, but I am starting to feel better about them and rely less on notes or a "script" in my head.
Hi Sienna! First time seeing your channel. As a mature woman (I have kids your age) and an area director at my job, the time management and planning skills are paramount! I use to mentor and teach middle school, high school, and collegiate girls on how to plan and manage their time. I also homeschooled all of my kids and this skill was extremely helpful. It literally is a life skill for all! I am so please seeing young people thriving in their life's pursuit. You are an amazing young lady and I can't wait to see you as you grow on your lifes journey!! What an inspiration you are to other young ladies. Praying you have a successful year at Harvard. Great video! Blessings 🙂
Thank you so much! I was also home schooled, and I think that's truly what helped me develop time management skills and learn to keep myself accountable. Thank you for your kind words -- knowing that I inspire other people is what motivates me more than anything
I just finished my first year of college too, and I cannot emphasize enough about how beneficial it is to learn your way of studying not just studying for hours!!! so glad you mentioned this
i can't believe you figured some of this stuff out as a freshman, took me well into my late 20's before i did :) i guess that's why your in harvard lol
All great points. Some of these things are hard to learn until you live through it. But you give great advice! College isn’t easy. I’m applying for grad school this fall and I’m still working on some of these things.
i loved your thoughts on burdening your friends. i’ve thought that exact thing but always thought i was selfish for it, so i’m glad there’s a commonality in that :)
This vid got me to subscribe. I am a senior and have just learned all that. Wish I had done so earlier but it's never too late. You are so wonderful girl. Wish you the best!!
I really ca relate to the things you named. Yesterday I graduated from a boarding school for high gifted students, where there is high pressure to perform, but you also had the chance to meet great people and to grow personally and academically. Your tips are really important and right. Get things done. Seize the opportunities. but most important: have fun. And I want to thank you for your words on the subject of psychologists: Talking to someone who can help you does not mean you are "sick" or loser. A good conversation can help you on so many levels. I would like to study psychology myself and therefore I find it so great that you invalidate the stereotypes against therapies. Lots of Greetings from Germany!
I’m so happy to see you grow so much from your previous videos. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. You gave me lots of new perspectives. Goodluck and God bless Sienna
I'm going to be a freshman at Harvard this fall and this video really helped me so much. I really appreciate all the advice you gave. I've been so nervous about freshman year and not being ready and this video just helped to ease all my nerves. Hope to maybe see you on campus!
Payton Kim awwww YAY i’m so glad and i’m so happy for you!! i was so so nervous too but doing a lot of these things helped me. also make upperclassmen friends!! they give you so much perspective and can really be your mentors as well as your friends. i’m happy to be that for you and you can always come to me with any questions or if you need anything :) it’s so important !!
Wow sienna your video made my day. It really helps finding people who have a similar view on life when you‘re struggling in life currently❤️ Greetings from Germany👋🏼
I just wanna come on here and say that this was a very very good video and I feel a lot better now. I’m going into my freshman year at the University if Washington and I’ve had a lot of anxiety about it. Thank you for this!
Shook I'm early... and so relatable with the anxiety of calling people like the bank or internet carrier, etc... I need to learn to get used to them too
Harvard Grad student at SEAS. Everyone is super chill and down to earth. I highly suggest if you have something to offer, apply, and you might just get in!

I’m a freshman in Yonsei Univ in South Korea! Lovely to see how u r so interested in Korea and love watching ur videos♥️♥️ I hope I could visit Harvard for summer school someday thank you so much for doing youtube🔥
Watching your videos for first time during quarantine. You are wise beyond your years! This video is my favorite! I'm in my mid 40's; a majority of the advice you shared can applied for those of us not in college as well. Keep up the great work!
this really helped me reflect! it's hard to acknowledge growth when it's a continuous process especially in university. i have grown a lot this past year, more than i give myself credit for.
Even though I’ve messed up any opportunity to get into Harvard your still incredibly inspiring and informative for what I’ll need to get ready for college
I agree with everything that you said. The number 1 most important thing I would like to say is that if you are a perfectionist, work as hard as you possibly can to get rid of that or you will never be happy...ever. It will ruin your life, seriously. It takes a long time but just work on it.
I'm halfway through my 2nd year of uni right now and i WISHED i'd had this video 2 years ago. Definitely going to apply it when second semester starts in a week. Also, hello from New Zealand!!!

All great points. Some of these things are hard to learn until you live through it. But you give great advice! College isn’t easy. I’m applying for grad school this fall and I’m still working on some of these things.
Who else clicked so FAST💜💨
We have a small family channel & you inspire us so much we love you. 🥰
I wish you all the best with the channel!
Jason Walsh thank you so much 🥰
i loved your thoughts on burdening your friends. i’ve thought that exact thing but always thought i was selfish for it, so i’m glad there’s a commonality in that :)
I love her videos so much, it makes me think about my future a lot, especially since i do want to get into Harvard

It really helps finding people who have a similar view on life when you‘re struggling in life currently❤️
Greetings from
Germany👋🏼
I just wanna come on here and say that this was a very very good video and I feel a lot better now. I’m going into my freshman year at the University if Washington and I’ve had a lot of anxiety about it. Thank you for this!
Thank you so much for these tips and experiences, they inspired me a lot. Now I am more confident of balancing my work and life.
Was the psychiatrist private or does Harvard provide such services to its students?
Sienna, you inspire me so much! You are such an amazing woman, smart, well spoken and beautiful on the inside and the outside! Thank you for posting TH-cam videos and inspiring me on the daily!

it actually took me four years to understand these things. thank you so much to give your advice to those undergraduates!
This was so inspirational n amazing as it is literally applicable to everyone ♥️ thank you so much Sienna
Misfit Turtle aww i’m so glad!! if an incoming 3rd year uni student can learn something from lil first year me i guess i’m doing something right!! haha
That was honestly such an inspiring video and so many good advice. Keep doing what you do because it's amazing.
