I met Paul Foot once in a queue in Tesco. I couldn’t work out where I knew him from so asked him did he go to my school, did he know my brothers etc. He kept saying no to all my questions and eventually said “well I’m on the tv sometimes”. I felt like a right tit. I also have a beard. Must have been a soul sucking experience for him.
That’s an incredibly British way to be. 😊 So humble. Would never happen with an American celebrity.
@@SjorsHoukes I met Anton Newcombe and since my name is also Anton we had a jolly time as a couple of Antons a bit. Didn't know he was sorta famous-ish though until the bartender said he's the founder of one of his favorite bands. Pretty down to earth guy I think.

Beards depend - some peoples beards look quite stylish if it grows properly, but some people have patchy beards with bald bits and it jusr looks like they have glued pubes to their face.

Only thing is David doesn't clean up his neckline.
I do not doubt for a second it's very hygienic on show days (I've seen videos of him during radio interviews, the rest of the time it might not be so clean), but it certainly looks like he trims the length but never tidies the edges

Totally agree with Paul. Beards are gross. Now everybody and their mom thinks they're a Viking if they grow one, so I have to try not to vomit at the cashier in the grocery store.
