- Heading east from Hartsville towards Floyd, SC is SCRF's trash train that runs loaded from CSX at Florence, SC on exACL trackage to Bishopville, SC. Here is the empty train returning to Florence. Locomotives are leased from HATX. Yes, I know the traffic is a bit distracting, but the 45 minutes I waited not a vehicle passed!
Nice catch!
Wow great catch!
gotta love them shortlines!
those cars were originally from CSX Q409,which drops them off @ florence yard for this railroad
Nice footage. I used to live in Hartsville 1980-85...and watch trains on what was known back then as the Hartsville Subdivision. Those ex-Grand Trunk GP40's and ex-CN wide-nose unit seem really foreign to me. To me, the Hartsville Sub was the land of 567 engines...GP7s/16s ruled back then.
And the sight of waste trains! What happened to woodchip deliveries to Sonoco Products? Or Cargill seed oil shipments?
Thanks anyway for bringing me all the way back from Yokohama, Japan!
Great vid! It is nice to see some GTW power being used! Are there any plans to repaint these units?
This train is parts of K283/K284, and also gets connections from Q409.
those two GTW gp40's are ex Detroit Toledo and Ironton RR.
I think the CN widecab now is mark for the SCRF now.
2 GTW's and a CN zebra...nice
Good post. I understand that Palmetto Brick & Tile in Cheraw runs a narrow gauge train. Any videos of it?
What kind of trash is in those containers? Toxic waste or something?
@CharlieX90 haha lol
Tres bon vidéo.Dans quel état des états-unis etes -vous.Une loco du cnr est la c'est canadien.
