Excellent performane by everyone. Since its debut performance, this piece has become one of the greatest trombone concertos ever composed. It is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. And to see the composer himself obviously enjoying hearing his work from the podium is yet another aspect of the magic that is called music.

I've been playing this concerto for years, but having the chops to do the whole thing at once proves pretty difficult. How many hours a day do you put in on the trombone?

Hey Ben! It's really difficult piece. In general I like to spend about one hour per day in pieces like that. I think the smart practice is to have a plan in order to "attack" first the difficult parts.( I always start very slow). And the time goes by, I add the rest of the piece around the difficult parts ones. I try do not waste time repeating without a goal. For me, the music has the answer for the technical parts.
