if you can live in Greece with a US salary you are rich in Greek standards and i am saying that being greek and working for 20k euro a year. She is living a good life. her rent is VERY high for greece.
Probably most beuteful country in the world to live in , perfect weather all seasons, sun, blue waters, best healthy foot in Mediterranean and safe for a family
Ok, so, the 1400 rent is high, very high, especially for an island like Syros, but obviously they get a very luxury house (villa type). I see cleaning is included, so yes, they rent one of those houses that are destined and reserved for people like them, usually for shorter lease, not for the average Greek. A normal house for a family would be 600 to 900, maybe 1000 if you feel really comfortable. And no, cleaning would never ever be included. Electricity also is generally not included. Sometimes you can find houses that include water consumption and maybe WiFi, but that's because water is generally cheap, and they use one internet line that they share to the apartments. If you make 136K per year, you can live comfortably everywhere. But in general, Greece is way way safer than the US, and if you have money, you will live way better here than in the US.
Healthcare in Greece is free, if you work in the country. She works remotely for a US based company, so she has private insurance. 500 euros for 3 people is not expensive.
I'm self employed in Greece. We pay a monthly amount into public healthcare insurance OAEE. We pay at least 250€ each month and that's for pension, healthcare and unemployment insurance all combined. Don't know how the money is split between the 3. I could choose to pay more to later get a higher pension, but that's up to me.
Greece is wounderful. I cant believe she did jot talk anout thr food abf culture. That would be id think yhr top reasons for living in greece than any other country in the world.
She is brilliant and having/getting skills to work remotely is the way to go. It gives the freedom to experience living outside the U.S. Money is one reason to explore other places to live, but more importantly to me are the race issues, healthcare problems, lack of gun control/violence and desire for a generally less stressful lifestyle. So happy for this family❤.
Private insurance for 500$ a month is a lot, I think, unless the contract includes special provisions that I am not aware of. The daycare cost is realistic. The housing cost is also high. I reckon that they live in an Airbnb apartment. Still it is a decent amount
They live in Greece but they work for a company in a different country. That's why is cheap for them. If she was working as a content creator in greece she would get around 10.000-20.000$ top.
Why so much hate? health insurance or usa car insurance, interest, renting and many more things are extreme expensive in usa, the lady she worked for Germany company and after for companies are international not from usa, I don't know if you did this comment in porpuse but is not nice arrogant comments, but probably you have inferior complex

not really, she spends her income in greece and at the same time promotes greece as a brand, so keep your socialist opinion for yourself. She is more than welcome in Greece
@Zaxos123 I am not a socialist, on the contrary. But she does not get taxed here. So what is it for us? We are not a brand, we are a country, a nation. Keep your opinion for your self, not everything is for sale

Try living in Greece on a greek salary. Life in Greece for Greeks is NOT cheap.

i live with half of that in lisbon easily
Just found you. Love your disposition
Greeks, renting out property, complaining in the comments section about salaries in Greece, is hilarious!
Private insurance for 500$ a month is a lot, I think, unless the contract includes special provisions that I am not aware of. The daycare cost is realistic. The housing cost is also high. I reckon that they live in an Airbnb apartment. Still it is a decent amount
Health Care, Child Care and Education up to University are for FREE in Greece for its citizens!
greece is so cheap??? that's bullshit.

Bad example of living in Greece with that income bro she just wants the clicks
1400 is veeery high for greece
The fact is that you make the life of Greeks more expensive. So please find another country and let ours. You create this situation to us
Τι λες κοπελιά? Τι πίνεις? Τι φταίει η γυναίκα? μάλλον έχεις ζηλέψει λίγο????

In Greece average rent is 600-800. Not 1400
It actually says "utilities included", so electricity and water bills, clean service etc etc!
Greece is the most expensive place in Europe.
Its true... cause is safe and the best food...😅
Relatively to the average income, sure. Otherwise, if we're talking on absolute prices, not even close to the most expensive
