Coming back a month later. After watching most of the pivot turn videos on YT, I can say this is the best most comprehensive tutorial I’ve found outside of a private lesson.

You're welcome! It's hard to say what you specifically need without seeing you dance them, but try applying this technique (along with maintaining a toned frame and your head slightly leftwards) and see if that helps!
Really great video. I had a dance teacher recently tell me that pivot turns are not possible to dance socially, and only done in choreographies. Is this true in your experience?
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the video! Pivot turns are definitely one of the more difficult movements to do in ballroom dance, but they are leadable and can be danced socially. This is not a beginner movement and you may have trouble leading a beginner through pivot turns, but an experienced dancer should have no problem following this action socially.
