My first was the fortiflex ( pre-Jordy videos) then I got the (after Jordy videos) foredom and I did by the 4300 blue box kit. I tried the foot control on the 4300 once and it seemed like it was not happy with the variable voltage from the foot pedal. That being said I did not want to screw up my new 4300 so I just hang it up with the other two and use the side switch instead of a foot pedal. Now I use my fortiflex as my sanding tool. Looking for a good burner now.

I got one over here in Thailand a couple of years ago and goes well had to adjust the brushes once and got a foredom 1/4 inch hand piece from my understanding the parts are interchangeable between foredom and dremel.

Enjoyed the review thanks, I've been waiting for it since you mentioned it in a live stream. It confirmed what I already suspected, but they are expensive questions to answer. I believe the handpiece is a copy of the Foredom H30, which has 1" diameter to fit in their drill press, bench clamps and other accessories. So it looks like it's more suitable for budget conscious jewellers than wood carvers.

Thanks for doing this vid Jordy. I have the Dremel Fortiflex and HATE the hand piece supplied with it. Dremel did make a small hand piece in the UK but soon discontinued it. I don’t use the Fortiflex as much as i should because of the hand piece is way too big and bulky and give me cramps in my hands. What Foredom hand piece did you say fits the Fortiflex.

15:49 - it really feels like you're *strongly* trying to demonstrate an opinion that the foredom is performing much better, when honestly, stating your opinion is much more effective than 'demonstrating' in this video. Th way it's recorded just makes the foredom look like much harder work for exactly the same result.
Which is very odd, given the bulkier hand tool of the Dremel!
I just moved over to a Dremel (previously I'd been using cheap 'mystery brands'), and a lot of the things I'm seeing mentioned in these comments are reasons I *prefer* the dremel to the rubbish brands I was previously using.
I'm particularly amazed by people naysaying the sound of the dremel, since that's one of the things I really like about it!
Different strokes, of course. Mine is only a 3000, and I don't have a business in powewrtools, merely using them for hobby projects.
Thanks for the video anyway. I think I probably prefer my current flex shaft (from a brand called 'FERM') the the dremel one due to the size of that handhold!

Jordy good review but stick with your 4000 and get yourself another Foredom later when the old one corpses, your choice of course. Is there no other makes except Chinese ones what about Proxxon or other European heavies? Also can your die grinders not power a heavy flexshaft? Anyway Jordy keep at I know you will succeed👍👍👍

  • @evilevilrick

Seems to have power and about the same speed as the foredom. Dremel has a good reputation so I would think they will stand behind the product. I have the imitation foredom S R with the standard flex shaft and it works ok for me. It came with the same kind of handle that came with this dremel. I don't like that handle much either so I got a foredom H-44T handle for it. I just don't use the tool much. The dremels are faster, easier to work with and hold, no matter what I'm working on, so I end up using them most of the time. My advice to people would be to not worry about the foredom or the big dremel or any other big dremel type tool unless you find you really need it. Maybe try one of those flex shaft's and handles to put on your drill or die grinder if you really need that much power. Just my opinion. Hi Jordy.

Hey man, so I’ve been using the regular hand held regular dremel 300 right, well for the longest its just not been everything I thought I could have. I just found out about the pendant motor(fordom) style tools. I’ve been looking all through Amazon, and looked at your page and everything also. How big of a difference is there going to be with let’s say the vevor I see on amazon, and fordom, and dremel. And honestly based on a lot you do, I have same opinions about dremel I believe… that being said, if I’m looking to spend about 200-250 in all for a machine(I’m not needing to have bits coming with or anything just need the machine&the flex shaft if they are better then the regular dremel flex shaft). What in your opinion should I do? I’m still what I consider amateur or learning, but I’m not trying to buy something just to outgrow it or have any type of doubts just to have to buy another relatively soon… Guess my main question anything right up there and = to the foredom. Or you have any ideas? Thanks Robbie

I think you could probably ly start with a Chicago one like they sell at Harbour friengh, I believe u can get for under 100, there is lots of knock off types of foredoms and dremels out there for sure, U can also look at the master carver, I have not tried myself but I do believe it is reputable, if not go to Harbour friengh buy the cheep one untill you make some $ from carving, then upgrade to the Cadillac AKA foredom

@@CarvingFusion sorry for the late reply here but much thanks 🙏 for shooting me your thoughts on the matter. I see tons of the “Off-Brand-Foredoms”, just wasn’t sure if going like Veevor (0It literally looks like the specs for them are identical, it’s just the “Chinese Brand”) and replacing the foot pedal with a nicer actually sturdy one for like $20-$25. Apparently that’s the only shitty part it’s a “Knock-Off-Of-A-Knock-Off-Foot-Pedal….” Yeah Let That One Sneak In LOL 😂 I will take a look at the few brands you mentioned as well. When I get my mind made up and decide to purchase, I will post Up A Legendary, Very 1st Channel Video, and show what I chose and hopefully a small piece of something that I was able to carve up.(F.y.i.- I get Flac for this all the time, but I really like making Home Decor stuff for some reason, wall hanging stuff is one of the favorites). Ok sorry for the stupidly long rambling of a reply. Thanks again for the help.
