In this video I build the Flyhawk FT-17 in 1/72. I have a blast with the tiny details, brush paint some camo, and make a mess with some MUD! www.vms-supplies.com
Biggest surprise was when you picked the FT17 at the beginning! My god that’s small! Fantastic work and the weathering really makes it look like it’s had a hard day! Awesome vid and build! Small dio base next? Maybe with some figures?? 😉
Thanks Andy ! If I had more gumption I might have put it on a small base, but with the other project going on I need to focus hard on that to get it finished in its dioramay goodness
Really nice build James. It’s challenging to make such a tiny subject look like the real full-size object, but you definitely pulled it off. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Flyhawk’s 1//72 armour kits, and I picked up their T-34/85 recently. Your build has given me the confidence to attempt it.
Great stuff there 👍 As a 72nd modeller myself I defiently approve! Sometimes I wish I´d build more of those modern Flyhawk kits, they are a pure joy to build... maybe we´ll see some more on your channel?
This video was making me laugh a bit. I'm currently working on Trumpeter's 1/16 M1A2 Abrams MBT. My M1A2 build is 620 mm (24.4 inches) by 232 mm (9.2 inches). I can't think of two armor builds that are more opposed to one another! The thing I absolutely love about your channel is the variety of work that you do. While you might not have thought this to be your best build, it was a cool little project that keeps your channel interesting.
The mud effects look very realistic, but they don't make the model attractive, a problem of all heavy weatherings. C.f. the scratch effects, which actually make it nicer to look at. Will you build the second tank in the kit, perhaps as one of the post-war exported vehicles?
Это великолепно! У меня есть эта модель но она пылится у меня с 2020 года. После твоего видео захотелось наконец таки собрать его. Спасибо за мотивацию
Another little gem. Incredible how you make 1/72 models look 1/16. So 😎😎
thanks Sera !
Thanks! What a nice build! 🤩
Chris thankyou for your kindness and support !

Absolutely crazy result on such a small model!
Thanks Mate !

Thanks Bruce ! I might have to take a look at some of their other offerings ! The detail and finesse puts some of the other manufacturers to shame
Really beautiful work, James🤩. I love small scale👍🏻👋🏻
You and me both!
I'm just finishing the 1/35 scale FT-17 from Meng.Even 1/35 scale is small :)
Wow, that's impressive work.
thanks ! i built that one it was a fun kit
"Yum Yum I think may have a full kit to decorate my cave" the carpet monster.😃
Oh yes! easy to lose it in the jaws of death
Fantastic job. Looks like you plucked it from a photo.
very kind thankyou !

I wont rule it out ! Thanks Tom
Beautiful work James, if that were mine, I would be properly chuffed with the finish you achieved!
Thanks for the video. Going over the weathering effects was helpful.
thanks Wade !
To fiddly for me another cracking build by you, loving the wet mud effect!
thanks Mate !
When you said "Flyhawk, who are normally known for ship models", I first thought you said "sh*t models" lol. I like their little tank models. :)
I heard it in the editing and left it for lols :D

Inspiring enough to me! I’m a 1/48 airplane modeller and you made me consider picking one up. Looks like fun! Great build 👍
Well you inspired me to buy the Meng 1/35 rivetted turret tank. 1/72 is a bit small for me but it looks a superb kit at that scale.
Just WOW! My friend! Youre video very good! And inspired me a lot!
Lovely work
Wow!!! Good job!!🎉

I understand what you mean, but it's nice to do something different
found some of the fitment tight on this kit

thankyou, i hope you enjoy your build
Great job James.
thanks Jesse !
You can't just take a 1/35 tank and shrink the footage with AI and fool us... 😉. Your talent is outrageous
Hello mr.LPJ.ohhh boy!He is a cute one.isnt He?with best regards and sticky greetings from Brandenburg germany.yours truly.your modellmate.christian

Very nice build. I have this kit but it is missing one set of photo etch.
oh no ! have you tried emailing the flyhawk team for a replacement ?
@@lpjmodels good idea, I`ll give it a try
Wau!
thanks !
🤝🎥🛠️👍
"Quite likely, it's a skill issue" proceeds to produce a better model at a smaller scale then I've ever made.
thankyou! ( I'm sure your 1/72 armour is better, I don't have much practice with this type of model )
