I'm down for any horror movie with practical effects from Alien Romulus to Werewolves i'm glad to see practical effects coming back & toning down the cgi
Tbh I think it'll be good. Definitely giving Cabin in the woods vibes, but I think they left the story as is because redoing it wouldn't do the original justice. Imo i think it would work perfectly original story on screen, but I think they wanna redo it with similar elements so that they can create something somewhat new, may not be good, but it's somewhat nuanced. And plus David F Sandberg is a damn good director, but we'll see lmao
the way i feel about the movie is it's just part of the Until Dawn series it's its own separate story, not a reboot or remake. but it has the lore from the series but just like The Quarry is its follow-up in the series. the games are already basically a movie so I'm going into this thinking its like the third "movie" sounds like it could be interesting.
I'd much rather have a post-until dawn series starring Sam and Mike as the sole survivors and they vowed to hunt and kill horrors of any kind; supernatural, realistic, sci-fi, etc. It's like Hellboy but also like Alien, Predator, Resident Evil, and The Punisher. All of the dark pictures and Supermassive's non-dark picture horror games can be adapted into the series. This major plot in particular could be good material for an episode.
They would never get away with excluding the wendigos. The people really wanting this movie are the die hard fans. I am not as much a fan of the game as I am the wendigo legend. It has not been properly represented much. This is the most horrifying creature in all of American folklore. Wendigo needs its time in the spotlight.
@@criticaloverlord4809 As long as they don't wait till the last 30 minutes of the movie to feature them. Remember that Power Rangers movie a few years back? They didn't suit up till the end. I don't like Power Rangers, but damn!
Sounds unauthentic. They should've hired me to write the screenplay. Not another boring death-loop copycat film with unoriginal roots. Amid their search for missing friends, a group stumbles upon a chilling hidden portal to another dimension deep within the dark woods. As the eerie night unfolds, they realize they have only Until Dawn to rescue their friends from this and return safely to their world. The race against time and the unknown adds a suspenseful twist, making it a gripping tale of survival and friendship.
Yeah... they should have hired you, the nobody to write this. Take action, less talk! Start writing, get stuff out there, instead of just talking about what should have been, because you're just wasting time.
@@thatonemovieguy-h4b Hey, Mr. nobody. Do you know me in real life? You speak all that crap as if you actually KNOW ME in REAL LIFE. How do you know my writing status without even knowing me Mr. Nobody? Answer those questions. Stay jealous, Mr. Nobody.
From my perspective I'm actually glad that the movie is it taken the original story from the game because supposed the movie doesn't do good then everybody will come on here and say this movie shouldn't be called until dawn it didn't do the movie Justice because it's the same storyline etc etc. Yes you can argue and say that well this movie has the name until dawn name slap on it but the plot is different and it could go bad you could say that. But in my opinion I'd rather have a movie that has the same name of a game with a different story but done correctly. In my opinion with the whole happy death day vibes from it I do not want that cuz like you mentioned why should you care about the characters death and if it has all those things like werewolves, wendigos, etc it's like no. But let's say if it's like based off a different timelines of the location of like at one time line or Universe it has wendigos then they die then you have another Universe where it has werewolves then they die and so on and so on then I'll be up for it. But it's just like if it has all of those things that means Werewolves, wendigos, which is all that is real in until dawn. I am not going to lie with the whole recycled death thing I can see why they're doing it because it's like when you see a character die and you don't want the characters to die that way and you just restart it and play the game differently but then you end up dying again because you choose the wrong decision I can see why they would do that.
The remake is definitely worth playing. I played twice already and posted them on my channel

@@hakeem27369 I think it'll be special to horror fans who never played the game.
The replacer is gonna be coming back as Dr. Hill. I wish the entire cast could play their original characters.
It doesn't help when the original cast is way too old to play 19-year-olds.
I really liked the remake it sets up a potential until dawn 2 with additional cut scenes at the end you should play it 😂❤
@leocanparticipate1269 it's on my to do list.

The wendigos aren't all over the movie.

@eleazarruoch576 yeah I mean on and off screen lol the game uses them more.
