@PeoplesCar tbh I realised why...ive been very busy buying bits for my t25...empi wheels, chrome exhaust, door seals, master cylinder, led lights, new grille...and soon a good welder!!! I just wanna make it roadworthy and safe to drive..cosmetics can wait in the main...great channel btw...all the best!!!!
@@lornapowell2362 yeah have to make sure it's safe. There is a video im working on atm and I've pulled a T25 apart. I actually pulled the rear A Arm off with my bare hands! 😳😅 I'd been driving that thing round for 2 years. Absolutely Scarey!
@PeoplesCar well ld bought a stainless backbone and managed to snap an exhaust stud taking the old one off...ive just bought a mig tig welder as I suspect I'll b doing lots of welding starting with the snapped exhaust stud grrr...
@lornapowell2362 you might find if planning to weld a nut on the end of the damaged stud to remove it the heat will help release it. You have to be VERY careful tho, your heads are only Ali and likely to cause damage if not experienced with it and the stud is quite short. If can grab it with mull grips id try that first after soaking it with pen oil for a few days and heating it up to try and break the bond. I'm not sure what your working with but I've managed to grind 2 flats on sheared stuck out bolts etc in the past and then use a spanner to turn them out. Less risky than welding to it. JIMHO. The one I used on the Sun Visors was Jet Black and I believe was a diffferent shade on the external parts as were out of stock on the day I went to buy it.
