So I've rode some of these before just in march and covered in snow on a snowboard and I can testify some of these are scary when it ices over and the burms are 6 feet tall on either side of u

I had one of the best snowboarding days of my life in Fernie! 75cm's overnight and barely anyone on the hill. Some of those steeps are insane so I could only imagine on a mountain bike. Great vid dude. Your family is amazing...Bless!!!!!
That drop-off from the forest road half way down Kodiak Karnage finally got me past the GoPro effect just enough to really get how crazy steep that trail gets. Thanks for that. Doubt I'll ever try something that crazy, but it at least gave a sense for how insane a Pro Line tech trail can be.

I was chanting that she could do that crazy steep line at the same time she said she could do it lol she should he proud of herself for conquering that. Both of you should. That's a major mental challenge.
Can't wait till my boys (4 and 1 year atm) are at the age when we can spend weekends all summer road-tripping to various bikeparks in central europe and ride awesome trails all day long. Congrats on your first pro line, your progression lately is through the roof!

Double black...never in my lifetime. It appears to be like Buzz Lightyear's flying. AKA falling with style. Glad to see the whole family had fun and went home unscathed.
yup the more you do the super steep tech the more you can relax,breathe and eventually find the flow. I've been back on Mt Washington this year after over 12 years away from DH and it is hilarious how slow I go down some of the old gnarly tech compared to how we used to crush them in our 20's Ha and I don't remember the jumps being quite so steep lols I'm slowly getting the hang of it again

Family Bike Trip was awesome! When you dove into "dark hole" at the start of the second section on the Pro Line (KK) that was amazing! Like how showed all skill levels having fun. Great idea.

Great vid, super cool to see the family ticking stuff off, must be such a cool experience. Also cool to see a bike park with fall line steep tech, the one thing Whistler doesn't have. I'm in Fernie in August was planning on just trail riding but might do some park riding after seeing this.
Rode Kodiak last Sunday and can vouch for the steepness and the video doesn't show it but its pretty rooty aswell especially around the start of the trail.
Looking forward to hitting some of these next week! Hopefully my skills haven't eroded too much this year with how little mtb I have been able to do in Edmonton. You picked a good time to flee to the mountains with the last couple super wet summers.
Wow the periscope mount actually gives the steepness some due! So much better than other mounting positions as far as I can tell.

Me and my son just started riding sunpeaks last year and pretty much did only greens and maybe a couple easy blues! Now with him and his new bike he is crazy good and only thing holding him back is my old body!.... it’s so fun but also so scarey to watch!..... hoping to make fernie, kicking horse, and revelstoke next month!

Went there on Thursday and hit every black and double black trail. There was one brand new one called Rubber Ducky, and it was a double black jump trail..... it was soooooo sick.
I know, we just missed the opening of that one! 😭

Great vid. Next time you are here try Bin Login . It’s a bit out of the way but worth the trek. You will find a fun blue track with wood features and finishes up with some spice.

Holy cow, can't believe she was clipped in on that downhill trail. Of course I would have been afraid to even walk the Pro Line.
You need to go back to Rossland. They just finished a jump track on Red Mountain. Two sections; One black, one blue. My 8 year old jumped off the blue like crazy!

Like the channel. Fun to watch. I have a suggestion for you. Learn about audio ducking for the sound. Also look into a good compressor plugin or limiter plugin so you don't get huge spikes in volume. It will help out on a more consistent sound quality all around. Other than that, nice video mate.
Just did a race down willpower today. Its supposedly the "easiest black diamond". It is not. And the green ya did at the end, eville, definitly 1 of my favorites. Its my 1st year riding, so maybe my input doesnt mean much, but ive done 200 laps, so i know the trails well (of the ones ive done at least), & i highly recommend alternate flight pattern, rubber ducky, & bin logdin. They're really good trails in my personal opinion. So if ya come back, make sure 2 try them!

Looks like I just missed you guys again. We were in Fernie on the weekend. Did bike park one day and Ridgemont and Montane one day. Hate how slow the lift is at fernie. And once again the gopro doesn't come close to showing how crazy some of those steep off camber rooty spots are.
Also going back to one of your recent vids we were at Moose yesterday and the switchyard claimed another victim. Young lady going off the small drop broke her arm and badly bruised up her back and hip. :(

The camera setup for the steeps is really nice! I'm sure the GoPro effect is still there, but it definitely looks steeper than most GoPro videos.

Pretty sweet that the whole family can ride together now! Not to poop on your parade Ryan, but Kodiak Karnage isn’t actually a pro line...just a double black. Similar to Downtown at silverstar, insanity at Panorama, or Catapult Ranch at big white, all of which are part of the Dunbar summer series. If you look on Trailforks all of those mentioned trails are “Red” but are only double blacks. Regardless, Kodiak is a very hard trail and you should be proud to have ridden it!
Correction, Downtown at silverstar isn’t actually part of the Dunbar summer series, riders race Dags downhill which is a fair bit easier in my opinion.

Evil is I super fun trail and Top Gun, it just to bad the chair lift is 18 minutes long, I was hoping to redeem myself on Ewak and try a new trail but way to wet and the line was way to long.
