Just picked one of these up for $45. Can’t wait to use it.
The mud in the motor wouldn’t be as bad if customers changed the water every 2 To 3 rooms. The more dirt in the water the more dirt evaporates and gets into the motor. What you see is someone that has abuse their machine and not taking care of it.
4:02 "There's a procedure we use to wash these that I'm not going to show because someone will hurt themselves..." Now watch most of us hurt ourselves as we try to figure out how to wash it. Lol
well I bet they use a small industrial dish washer like the one found in hotels, probably they also use a pressure washer

I just got the 4 quart water basin and I’m not sure how far I should be filling it. When I go to the top of the peg, it doesn’t fill high enough to cover the inlet pipe built into the basin

Can someone please show or tell me the correct order of the plates? I must’ve mixed them up when reinstalling because I can hear two of them sliding against each other when I spin the separator. 😞
What would happen if you flipped it over while running? I've done that so many times with my Henry vacuum, so if this flipped over would it suck it all in the motor?
+Nate J no almost every rainbow has the power to keep the water out of the motor why it's running one of the demos that is done in there turned upside down with water in it when it's running.

+Kat R they're pretty stiff from the factory. Sometimes they do get dirty and bound up with debris. Compressed air will do the trick.

Why is there a tic sound when I switch on the power. The vacume doesn't work.
Hi so the bottom engine gasket has cracked so water was able to go up and the heba filter was full of dust. We don't have a service for the Rainbow vacuum cleaner in Iceland and that's why I have to be able to clean the motor part of the Rainbow e series. Can you just tell me if you disassembled the motor part somehow and also if you cleaned that part with a compressor? Kind regards from Iceland

I've got an SE power nozzle and of course pressed the red button. i'm assuming this is a circuit breaker as power died to the nozzle the minute i pressed. how do I undo this fantastically clever thing I did?

I just bought the same one you show refurbished. I think I put to much water in it. And then sucked up the linoleum floor with even more water. The thing died on me, the switch will not turn on. What now?

Before mine wouldn’t spin I got it to where it will spin now but it has no suction, it will without the power nozzle but once you plug in the power nozzle the brush spins but no suction
And I wish you would have shown how to get the spider out I got the nut that goes on top of it but how do you get the spider out when I go to spin it off the whole thing spins

Does the Rainbow really out clean other vacuums such as a Miele Marin?
Good question. I would State the cleaning capability of a Miele C3 canister versus a Rainbow vacuum are very similar. Less than 10% difference.

I had one of these I got from a yard sale for 25 bucks. I didn’t much care for it to be honest. It worked ok as a vacuum I guess but was just to much of a hassle. Also seems like it’s way too flimsy to me. I can say for sure I don’t really miss it.

Should compare to a new age vacuum and the rainbow! The fact that you can still complain after finding it at $25,probably didn’t clean it, do maintenance to make it as new again and then still complain and yet you have a far more versatile vacuum when you dig deep enough to get attachments, consider how much more they pick up and actually clean then the garbage produce as the “new age suck everything up but doesn’t do anything vacuum’s”! Hell if any you should have parted it out or asked a nearby maintenance person to possibly it and you would’ve made some dang good money but hey why not complain about it and do nothing? Lol some people or most can’t think outside their box they live in today’s world!

I have never cleaned my rainbow before I can get the nut off the separator but not the separator help it’s stuck suggestions would be great

hello I have a rainbow e2 2 speed gold that stopped working today, I saw that it had the power button burned I changed it but it no longer turns on how do I know if it is the motor or the card, and if it is the card there is repair or the card it's cheap you don't send it to Portugal giving me the tips to know if it's one thing or another? appreciate

I don't think you will ever reply this but here it goes. Is there any fuse in the vacuum that I need to change. I can't switch on mine even after checking the water bowl properly placed with the bowl pin still okay. But when I plug with power nozzle, I can turn on the power nozzle only but not the vacuum.
I wouldn't bring it to a professional. It's probably something going on internal there are a lot of things in there that can cause that. Unfortunately nothing as simple as a fuse. Take a good look at your local Yelp listings before deciding where to bring it. Good luck to you

What if your rainbow will not power on at all. No lights no nothing. Went from working to dead. Is there a fuse somewhere on it that I am unaware of?
More than likely a cord or a switch but you can't rule out the motor bring it to your local vacuum shop and have them fix it for you.

The water actually traps the dust really well. The reason why some of them get so dusty is because they don't put enough water in it. I always fill up mine just a couple of centimeter above the fill line to avoid that. I been doing that for a while and no dust has gone through and no water either. Thank for the video too
hello. is there anyway you could do a video on how to remove a separator thats stuck on the raimbow ? i bought one last week at salvation army that looks like it wasnt really used but that dang separator wont come off after i remove the nut.

I was under the assumption you could was the rainbow filter! Rainbow states you can, what's the truth to that?
You need to change your Rainbow filter I'm assuming that's what you mean by "was" /wash. Washing it only makes it worse.

Hyla doesn't need the filter because it uses a bucket of water to filter the filth. Neither does Rainbow. It didn't have a filter until 1998. It's your choice if you want one with a filter or not. Choices.
