    I have done cya 6 times ... each lessons unique. This is THE BEST you tube advice on prep ! I had set intentions but soon after downing my very first cup , I changed my intention to what it has been since ... I said to the medicine " you called me here because I need help, so I surrender to you"

    I don't know why, but this made me cry... I mean the part about intention, because I have so many things that need fixing within myself that I don't even know where to start... therefore, I have no idea what intention to set... what I know is that I have things that to me are more important than others in my need for healing.
    Thank you very much for these great pieces of advice; so timely for me!

    • @InCeremony
      @InCeremony  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It may seem like so many things, but so often the medicine will just show you one tiny thing, and once you see that, everything else just falls away. There's actually nothing wrong with you, you just need to realize that. Before the journey starts reach out to the medicine and build trust, invite it in and just surrender surrender surrender. And don't worry about a hard ceremony, hard ceremonies are the best. You will find out how strong you are and that will teach you to love yourself better than any pat on the back could ever do.

    This is absolutely beautiful and true, thank you for the advice I did aya only 2 times and I completely agree with setting intention I found myself clinging into the expectation and made surrendering hard, I also realized I needed utter silence and quietude I couldn’t tolerate any shamanic music, any voices I wanted to connect with the medicine through complete silence but also at the same time I wanted to get into that state without getting pulled by the distraction and sitting a midst of it without it affecting me, without controlling the setting but turning inwards and surrender to what it is.

    In my understanding all the preparation, fasting, lifestyle changes and cleanse is to set the terrain inside your brain and even deeper inside your neurons and even ever deeper in the epigenetic expression of your DNA inside the nucleus and mitochondria of your cells.
    From a perspective of pure curiosity you would like to be in balance, because in that state you are most sensitive !
    From sensitivity comes the awareness and with clarity your point of view expands even beyond the horizon.

    Thank you so much! Going next month to Tenerife. Five years of thinking bout it, researching etc… and finally it all clicked into place. I’ve said for the last year I can’t think of an ‘intention’ for one, I’ve had everything a female child, then adult could have happen to her (all the bad things) so really would not know where to start?! as I’m gonna be shown/told what ever it is that I’m gonna be shown. Although feel a bit pressured to come up with some when I get to the actual ceremony’s! (So thought? Healing? Clarity) but after hearing what you’ve just explained, I feel good to say ‘no intention, here to surrender’ it’s interesting as when you said it’s like your souls made the contract, that’s exactly how I’ve felt since paying/booking a couple of days ago… I’m weirdly calm, matter of fact, kinda numb about it… (in fact it’s an unfamiliar feeling…) i have no idea what will happen… I just have a bit of hope that all three ceremonies won’t just be ‘hell’…. The only thing I feel I ‘know’ is that no matter the horror? After it there should be some understanding some sort of realisation… that’s really the best I’m hoping for! Anything else more is a bonus…
    Subbed! And will look through the rest of your vids!
    Thank you!

    • @InCeremony
      @InCeremony  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sounds like you're ready. You're gonna get just what you need. All you need to do now if turn the mind off. Stay in your heart. The ceremonies are never horror, just that it can be overwhelming at times and it's unfamiliar to us at first. But once you figure out how to navigate (surrender surrender surrender), then you're on your way. Best wishes for the ceremonies. Let go of any self-doubt and self-judgement from now. You must be on your own side.

    Hi man your videos are great! My mum found your channel as most of my family is going in May to do Ayahuasca for the first time. How I know I have made a big enough sacrifice? How long before the ceremony do I need to abstain from my sacrifice? For instance I said to myself already I would quit porn and masturbation until then as I saw it as an addiction but I don’t know if it’s enough? Do I need to feel like it’s harder?

    • @InCeremony
      @InCeremony  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the message, glad you're enjoying the videos :) What you're doing is fine for now. Don't try solve all the issues in advance. The most important thing is to be aware of what needs changing rather than trying to change everything. As far as the diet and the sacrifice goes, just remember what I said about overdoing it. Don't start too soon. Just take the week before your ceremonies and then make a solid commitment. Also, it's not about being perfect with your diet, it's all about integrity. So people who don't take the diet seriously or think it's all nonsense, that's the issue. If you have an open heart, you are humble, and you try your best, that's all the medicine wants from you. Hope you and the family have a fantastic healing experience! One last thing... since you are all going together, you all need to be very careful about not crossing journeys. This is a solo mission, so don't get caught up in what's happening for everyone else and vice versa. Each person must walk their own path and find what they need.

      @@InCeremony Thank you so much for your reply! I already have an awareness of that I need to change and learn to love myself again as I have come out of a very severe Bipolar related depression. I think my family and I are aware enough that this is absolutely a personal experience and in all honesty I want the medicine to show me how I can learn to love life again although that is not a condition I'm putting on it. I just hear so much about Ayahuasca and just intuitively know I want to experience it. I have already done a lot of the work in healing myself and understanding spiritual practices but I feel like I need to understand why the suffering in life is worth it. Its a very hard thing for me to comprehend right now and I do think my suffering has put me in a position to help others. Although I still want to find the joy life has to offer and not get so caught up in punishing myself for not achieving enough or feeling unfulfilled. I truly want happiness to be my natural state but I feel like my heart is so closed off I have forgotten how to love and can't evoke it no matter how hard I try.

Everything was dead to me. I don’t want to oversell but it sorted it out like a sledgehammer and my heart just came back to life. I have never suffered from that since. I often say I’m turning 4 this year cause that’s how I feel. Just go into the ceremony and abandon yourself. Everything you know or think you know. Just trust the medicine and surrender completely 💚

    I hear mother Aya call out to me. The calling is crystal clear. However I’m on mood stabilisers at the moment. Yet I hear her tell me, never mind, come despite your medication, I will heal you. I’m concerned of the drug interactions. This is a battle between the head and the heart. Do you have any suggestions to offer please?

    • @InCeremony
      @InCeremony  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Naresh. Firstly, you must come off your meds. Some meds are contraindicated, not all. But even if they are not you still should come off. The reason being is that you if you actually want to be healed and not need the meds anymore then you have to give the medicine the opportunity to do that, and how can it do that if the meds are interfering. And you want to meet the medicine at your baseline so that it can see what needs changing. No point removing all your symptoms before you go to the doctor, makes his/her job much harder.
      I have helped many people come off their meds for ceremony and the most important thing that helps is to realize that there isn't something fundamentally wrong with you, you are not mentally ill. You have issues and traumas just like every other human being and you need to heal that. But in order to heal with it, you need to allow it to be there, to really feel it and make space to explore what's at the root of it. This is a gentle process of self-care, not an anxious analysis of how broken you are. I hope you can find somewhere to sit that can assist you through the process, but feel free to reach out if you need some guidance. All the best.

      That’s an interesting question 🙂. I’m 46. Why do you ask?

    What the hell is that sound throughout the first 2 minutes?! A panting dog? Go get that dog some water. This is too annoying to get through.

      Yes it’s my dog. Dogs pant when they’re hot not when they’re thirsty. They don’t have sweat glands like we do so they cool themselves down by passing air through their throat where the blood vessels are close to the surface. He always joins me on my walks. Sorry it bothered you.

    Hi Rick, your videos helped me a lot to prepare for my first ceremonies. I just finished the 3rd ceremony last night (Shipibo). Can you please share any thoughts on the impact of wet dreams shortly after ceremony? We are told no sexual activity but as those are involuntary I’m wondering how one would even stop it. Thanks!

      When we trained this was covered, as our period of abstinence was much longer (2 months). Anything involuntary is no concern. Everything in life is not about action, it’s about intention. It’s what is in your heart that matters.
