This book is so good. So well written and factual. Great read.

    Great book… great research.
I’d like to add a personal hunch that the hippie movement wasn’t just the subversion of the anti war movement but also possibly the first major assault on traditional values and the family unit. That has been in steady decay since that time.

...good hunch., History agrees with you......I am, like so many others, the postwar child of Skull & bones parents...neither of them went into detail about their experiences. War is a continual round of black ops and assymetry (sp)... so we should not be surprised when our very human families are forced into knowingly contributing to genocide and a massive sense of guilt .. I lived in a small quiet part of South Hollywood in the mid seventies, Sharon Tates House in the hills was boarded up., nobody wanted to move in but the Guided Tours for misguided tourists were pulling in the dollars, bigtime... The next generation of aspiring stars were moving into the Canyon. getting their act together..more skull and bones plus post Vietnam psychosis...plus...our old pals Conspiracy and Deniability That is a heady mix. There are little creative communities everywhere with their own joys and madnesses, authorative bodies tend to be wary of anything that smells like alternative thinking and pursuits. The Moral Minority thought Elvis Presley moved lasciviously and spent the next few years creaming themselves with guilty delight. Im new to Dave McGowan and his observations resonate close to the bone..., my Skull still has a mind of its Own, xx

RIP Dave. Great to put a face to the name in this video. I would say he is bang on the money with his research. He would be horrified at the current state of popular culture and how it has progressed since his passing.

I read the series Inside the LC as Dave was writing it in 2008. I just watched a few interviews with Moon Zappa that she has done about her new book. She says a few things in them that no only validate McGowan, but would blow his mind. She says she was forced to read Crowley at 5 years old! RIP Dave, and got damn does he look young in this!

I'm the first to comment! What can I possibly say considering that the great David McGowan sadly passed away in 2015. A writer of very seminal books into the governments role in assassins and serial killers. I never thought I would ever see him interviewed like this. I know this can't be A.I. I think this is awesome!

Oh no this is not Ai. It was a fantastic interview, it's what got me to open my eyes more about the entertainment industry /actors of government control . And how they use entertainers to control the masses into submission of deception.

I bought the book a few years ago. Great Book, it made me realize that the 60’s weren’t exactly what I thought it was but rather a manipulated perception of a controlled narrative.

I would like to hear an addendum about this Sunset strip scene from the 80s and how it connects to govt and military.

Its crazy to hear all these influential musicians were from connected, privileged families. Imagine that? Lol they could afford to be free spirited artists. Having connections never hurts.

But how many on the scene were not related to military people. Also in my home town the children of two policec sergeants went on to be musicians. Apparently aspergers is prevalent amongst children of police and military. So You could see musical obsession being prevalent. Why is that.
