Good question. The Elite division is specifically for contestants 40 and over. It doesn't mean that a 40 or over person can't compete in the regular Continental division but if you're not 40 or over, they can't compete in the Elite division. So even if you competed and won Ms. Continental you are also eligible to compete in Elite once you turn 40. Same with Ms Continental plus. You can compete for Ms. Continental no matter your size, but you can only compete for Plus if you weigh over 200 pounds. So one person might qualify to compete in all 3 categories based on age and weight. Hope this helps.

You’re already apart of the system so is it like a way to say I still got it? Does it add to a persons overall National title holder numbers? That’s the part I guess I’m missing. @@marcusa4529 It does add to a national title holder's titles, but it's more about keeping the Continental systems alive. Some of the other divisions like Elite and Plus don't necessarily have the recruitment numbers the regular division does, so formers come back just to bump up the number of competitors to help keep those other divisions going. It's just another way of supporting the Continental system overall. And of course if you win, your bookings go up simply because you hold another Continental title.

Fontasia, Ginger Manchester, and Yosemein stood out in gown for me. And then some of those girls just got to give it up already. Some of them gowns were atrocious...lol.

Oh Gurl no tea no shade but some of those gowns looked busted up.
