I met with Blake previously to buy some Original Microsoft Xbox's off of him that he had got from a video game storage unit buyout. After seeing another one of his listings on facebook marketplace for a bundle of Original Nintendo Entertainment Systems I DMd him and he invited me over to see if I was interested in buying whatever I wanted from what he had left. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was still NOT ready for the amount of stuff he had!

Back when we were kids, we'd fix those cartridge connectors ourselves... usually the pins on the cartridge connector just need to be bent back into shape a bit, super fast and easy to do... and also cleaned, of course. hehe

Might have to get an ultrasonic cleaner for those controllers. I heard you can use glass jars to keep small parts together and also cut down on how much cleaner you use instead of throwing it all in the tub. Just fill the jars up most of the way, put them in the cleaner and fill the tub with water to just below the top of the jars. You can even do the circuit boards as long as they dry out thoroughly. Gonna be jacked doing those 16 bit curls!

Yes yes yes! This is exactly what I came here to say. 👍👍 Its a PITA taking the electronics out of the controllers and systems and putting it back 😅 but so worth it ! I dont have to touch all that dried hand goo on the controllers 🤢
@@imjustkey They've gotten cheaper in recent years. It's basically a stainless steel container (comes in many sizes) with transducers mounted on the bottom that vibrate gunk and corrosion loose. They use it on jewelry, car parts, all kinds of stuff. With all the controllers you go through it might be a good investment. Instead of manually de-gunking each button you could disassemble a batch of controllers, push a button, and be ready to dry and assemble.
Best believe if there were any rare games or good ones he looked em up and gave you shovelware games
