  • Montreal is a city in the country of Canada. It is the largest city in the province of Quebec and the second-largest city in Canada. It is the second-largest French-speaking city in the world after Paris.
Montreal is built on an island sitting in the Saint Lawrence River. More than three million people live in the Montreal region. At the centre of Montreal is a mountain called Mount Royal. The suburb of Westmount, is a very affluent suburb of Quebec.
Most of the people who live in Montreal speak French, but English is also commonly spoken, as a second language.

@@Agustincho991 Toronto is overrated , nothing unique , no identity , looks like any average north american city with the same culture . Toronto is not safe , poor public transport and people need to share a house in other to live . Ironically, Toronto is the only city in Canada that includes cities more than 100 km away like Hamilton and Niagara region to get the title of the biggest city in Canada. Chicago offers a better architecture, greener, arts and culture than Toronto with its fake times square ... so tacky

I am from Montreal and i liked your video . In 2022 , 3 north american cities made the list of the to 20 best cities in the world ( Forbes , Time Out ) in # 2 : Chicago , # 9 : Montreal and # 20 : New York . Montreal is unique , sophisticated , green and world class city with the best quality of life in Canada ( 400 years of architecture, history ) , best food, best night life , more than 100 festivals per year , multicultural, clean, safe , best subway and bilingual in both canadian official languages french and english . Montreal downtown is the same size as Toronto but Toronto includes cities more than 70 miles away to get the title of the biggest city in Canada . Hamilton and Niagara region is inluded in Toronto and des not make any sense . Montreal includes only the Island ( 10 times bigger than Manhattan ( and the south shore and North shore .

There's this warmth and uniqueness to Montreal I can't explain. Toronto (been driving there alot too) feels "cold", something is missing. Montreal is just "right". Amazing city.

Montreal is ugly, but there are lot of stuff to do, even during the winter. It's the opposite of Vancouver, which is beautiful but boring.

I was in Montreal years ago and I didn't find it ugly at all. I loved Old Montreal and a lot of the historic buildings. I'm from the Prairies and the vibe in Montreal and Quebec is cool. Much more energetic and a lot more culture than where I live.

Former Montrealer here. I am bilingual . Moved to Toronto in the 80s. Great WORLD CLASS TORONTO. Best decision I ever made. Makes Montreal look like a village. A narrow minded myopic city Montreal is. TORONTO TORONTO TORONTO welcomes the world. Come visit.

As an American that has visited both as a tourist, I have to say both cities were great, but Montreal wins out with the cultural beauty and history.
