In plant science, the term "Field Capacity" refers to the amount of water content in the soil necessary to be available for uptake into a plant root system. Water may be present but unavailable until a certain saturation point is attained. So a dabbling of God's word is not enough, the seed of God's word needs a soaking.

I'm exhausted as a single parent, i feel stuck, i work 9 to 5 just to pay bills but don't have any fullfilment in the career field i am. I have a few projects i wanna work on but don't know where to start. Half the time i don't have the energy. My brain is foggy. I'm always anxious. Idc sometimes has to change fr. Some pastors will say that you can live God's way, but unless you have repented from your sins, you will not have eternal life. In other words, you can have the best life on earth because you live it God's ways, but if you haven't repented then it would be all for nothing because you will not have eternal life. Myron, what are you thoughts on that? I would LOVE to hear you teach on repentance from sins and salvation. What is does it mean to repent and at what point is a Christian considered saved?
I agree with what your pastor says personally, biblical principles are called principles because they will work everytime no matter who applies it, doesnt matter if its a believer or non believer, the advantage of the believer is they know where to look for the principles unlike the non believer who has to stumble on this principles
