Your new "Favorite Photo" is truly a capture for all time. I felt my eyes filling with tears at the pure and raw emotion in the two bears. The fact that is was 399 is certainly a plus, but the genuineness of the bears' feelings is what makes this a photo for the ages. Well done, Evan!

Great video. I was there last month and photographed 399. When I first saw her, she was way out in the meadow and the cub was hidden in the tall grass. They finally made their way towards the road and she gave me a 2 second window where she looked me in the eye enabling me to get my photo.

What an amazing photo of 399! I was just in Yellowstone in early June photographing all types of wildlife. It's an amazing place and we return there as much as we can. Living outside of Nashville, TN it's quite a long round-trip. We bring an RV to Fishing Bridge when we go and it's our home base for the time we are there. My wife and I have traveled all over the place including Antarctica and the Grand Tetons / Yellowstone remain as our favorite destination. I feel at home there and am already missing it just a month after returning home to Tennessee.

This is just an outstanding photo of emotion, every emotion. I was so afraid we may not see 399 again. I was on pins and needles until she emerged. As far as her cub, he is also beautiful, I have an inkling he is going to be a big one!

399 was the first Grizzly bear I ever saw, back in 2019 when I traveled to the US. I had no idea who she was back then, but since learned about her and I feel so blessed I got to see her

Epic images of 399 and her cub, Watts. I got goose bumps when I saw your photos of 399 standing up. I would have never left you knowing how well you know the area. I once left a grove of trees that 399 and her cubs were in after waiting 3 hours. Within a half hour of me leaving they came out and headed directly towards where I was waiting. I learned my lesson. I really enjoyed your video. I’ll be patiently waiting for your next download.

What an amazing shot. Well done. My fav wildlife shot is the first one that made me feel like a wildlife photographer... I haven't topped it yet because I haven't been able to focus much on wildlife, but I can only imagine getting a shot like that after putting in years of study and effort.

Awesome story bud. I remember seeing that photo on Facebook. I barely missed her back in June when I was there. I know someone very familiar with her and there was no confirmation that she made it back into the park to den last fall so like everyone else I waited not sure what to expect in the spring. Hope she and the cub stay safe since she is out of the park again.

To be honest, I’m not sure hahaha. I just use a pair of Bushnells I got for my birthday a few years ago. A lot of people swear by Vortex though so you may look into those!

Travelled to Teton/Yellowstone NP's back in 2006, and there was a tagged 3(?)-year old bear at the Signal Mountain general store that, talking to a park ranger, was famous for coming to the store area and ignoring all the tourists snapping photos as it ate grubs and such. I just remember the ranger telling me it's number was in the 300's, but I cant remember the exact number, but it ended with a '9'.

Thanks for sharing. Awesome photos. Was in Yellowstone/Grand Tetons about 3 weeks ago but didn’t get 399. We were able to see 610 and her 3 cubs at right before Jackson lake. We watched her and shot photos and video for about 45 minutes. It was so awesome. What lens are you shooting?

After being in the Tetons for the last three Septembers, I have yet to get shots of a grizzly, let alone, one with cubs.
I’m going back this September and I am hoping to finally get shots of a grizzly in full fall size and grandeur.
399 would be an incredible find if I can pull it off.
