I couple new things I want to add The "Ritual Recovery" commendation is currently personally, which means only the person who sells the stolen Orb of Secrets will actually get the commendation, meaning for bigger crews you'll need to steal multiple Orbs For grade 5 of "Contended Constellations" you need 50 There are new dive voyages for skeleton camps called "A Raid on a Skeleton Camp", these voyages will give a piece of raid loot instead of an Orb of Secrets The brazier on the top of skeleton camps signals whether or not the camp is active, if the brazier is lit the camp is active, if it is not then the camp is on cooldown
It's actually not that hard. Got the 3 toughest in just one sitting, since the Burning Blade is BROKEN af and you can glitch some of the requirements very easily.
incase you are curious this is like end game content for high level and skilled players. At least in the sense of the obsidian skelly curse cosmetics. None of this is super easy unless you have a relatively good crew.

@@NewJoker93 yes you can "lose" of course eventually you will make enough points if your willing to be essentially a loser and spend 3x the hours to constantly do the same thing with no actual improvement. Sure. No not everyone can get there, because like in an MMO it takes TIME and SKILL to get stuff. If you are willing to invest time to get beat like 400 times for a curse then that could be comparable to someone inefficiently leveling in an mmo. Some people will never get the curses, most infact, let alone the really high teir stuff.
I will say, as a Solo sloop, my favorite way to steal this thing is just, tucking on the burning blade until someone else defeated it. I've tried this five times, and succeeded once. It can be tricky since theres SO MANY skeletons to worry about, but unless someone else is onboard, I usually hide near the rear of the ship, either behind flameheart's statue or behind the voting table, it's far enough only a skeleton or two will aggro you at any time, and close enough you can steal the ship in a moments notice. Might need to move occasionally if another player IS on the ship and you don't wanna get spotted, I advise the balcony on the VERY very back, accessible from the very same voting room. Not the most honorable way, but in my experience its the best way if you don't have a big crew already.

I think the amount of skeleton crew scales to your crew to compensate, and given how notoriously hard it is to sink player-manned burning blades, I imagine it'd be more than a tad tricky to sink you at that point. It's not like it's a surefire strategy, but in my attempt I didn't need my ship to claim the burning blade, so I could let it sink and hide on-board until I could make the BB mine. From there, it's just a matter of doing Burning Blade stuff.
The Burning Blade acts as a Galleon with more cannons for the most part, but also uses firebombs, bonecallers, and the Ashen Roar. It puts up a good fight, but you can sink it quick if you just keep the pressure on it.
In my experience the burning blade was capped by a sloop crew (we had a free for all with me and my friend on a sloop 2 other sloops and 1 galleon) after the blade was capped by this crew the entire server ganged up on it and it still came out on top
For those wondering your ship does not need to be around to pledge your crew for the bruning blade i managed to vote after my ship sanked( we were in a brig) and we took it over

The Burning Blade is a world event and is in the normal world event rotation. World events are those big things in the sky that you can see from all over the map, once one is defeated a new one will be picked at random to spawn shortly after, although I should note, it can never be the same event twice in a row. So yes, if you sink a Burning Blade another will at some point show up on that server, also since it's new, it currently has a higher chance of spawning then all the other world events
Youre telling me. The skellie camps that ive been doing since 3AM to now, which is 9AM. While no one has been on. That i could have grabbed the burning blade and done that ritual? F*** ME
Hmmm, it could just be delayed tracking, but if it's been more then a day and you're sure it should have counted (as in, you're on the blade, wearing the curse, you got the killing blow and athena player went to the ferry), then open a support ticket at support.seaofthieves.com they should be able to help you out
If you have the option, you could try playing during less busy hours, like the middle of the night, people tend to be on less around then so you run into less people, if that isn't an option for you, you could try to find people to play with who are in a time zone that's less busy hours line up with when you can play. Alternatively, if you wait till the update is a bit older, even just like a week, people will start to lose interest in the blade, and there should be less conflict for it

I reset my pirate that I made in 2020 I had gold curse and a lot of stuff but now that I’ve done that I’m enjoying the game again best decision I made great game

@@Vromstdid you have every commendation plus max level distinctions?? Otherwise, you quit out on the long grinds just to get things you already had…. There’s no actual benefit to resetting

Nothing is marked as time limited which means it'll be in the game for the foreseeable future, it's possible they'll mess with it at some point but we've got a while before we have to worry about that. Although, the Burning Blade's spawn rate will probably go down after this season, so if you want it, it's best to go after it sooner rather then later
@Blaze36312 pretty stupid considering to get the full burning blade set you have to get a streak of 4 ten times which is ridiculous and even impossible if your solo (which is what I am and why the commendation is bs)

I loved this game until I figured out its just a bunch of people doing exploits to cheat their way onto the leaderboards or to get cosmetics. 😢 That's all gaming is or maybe ever was. 🤔
I mean its kind of payback towards rare for making the damn horns so hard to find. I have no joke dove on every single shipwreck I’ve seen for the last 2 months (roughly about 90-100) and have 1 horn the whole time. Shrines and treasuries are no better. Plus that way is boring as absolute fuck. Either way they kind of deserved it. Plus most of us can’t get half of the actual good commendations because it’s locked behind having skeleton curse first, and having it equipped. I don’t feel bad for the rare having to deal with the exploit they did it to themselves honestly. I don’t condone exploiting but I also don’t feel bad. I sunk a ship that exploited 220+ camps. You best believe I sunk them and turned that fucker in. It’s not a place to be moral police it’s a pirate game for god sakes.
@ChandlerDaughtry I feel your frustration about how long things take. You basically have to have no life to do most of the cosmetics that are worth af on this game BUT cheating is still cheating no matter how you justify it.

It sadly only counts once. Doesn't matter how high of a streak you get it can only count one time per burning blade

Big commendations like this almost never get removed, they'll probably get harder as time goes on, but they should doable for a very long time
