I can't believe that so many people want to just completely disregard this relationship that has built up over the course of 3 seasons for a relationship that lasted 2 episodes lol lord have mercy. Thank god they aren't the writers. Otis and Maeve have had to go thru all these experiences on their own for them to realize what they truly believe in. They've all been ways to build up this relationship. The reality is outside of ruby and otis relationship, they aren't really friends. They barely talk to each other. Otis and maeve are great friends regardless of if they end up in a relationship or not. If you want a little advice, if you want to be in a relationship that matters and means something. Be with your best friend!
that's the thing, they are great friends and would be nice for them to stay and help each other... But O with R was just something very easy going and a lot of people would love to see just love story without any bullshit and drama.. Just my point of view.

@@lmdizajn No bullshit and drama? LOL. Their relationship basically started with Ruby raping Otis as he was so drunk he couldn't even consent or remember they slept together in the first place. (People would've gone batshit crazy if the genders were reversed, but here we are.) At first, Ruby wanted to keep it a secret that they were hooking up. Once people found out, she tried to change the way he looked. When that didn't work, she reluctantly accepted he didn't dress "cool" and started being slightly decent towards him. Then she couldn't accept he didn't love her back after dating for like what, a week tops? Talking about bullshit and drama. At this point, I don't even care if Maeve and Otis become a couple anymore, but calling the relationship between Otis and Ruby drama-free is insane.

You are forgetting another point where she didn’t even notice Otis wasn’t in the bus until she saw him xD explains all the shit about Ruby! @@jacksonberry8467 Can't remember what interview it was but she actually said she's going to be in every episode, plus Asa and Emma have been seen filming in Wales so she definitely comes back from America. This will be her last season though, and I suspect the last season overall for SE, so I'm nervous about what it means for Otis and Maeve in the long run. You have to remember that they are supposed to be 17/18 years old and relationships at that age tend to be fleeting, so that may be a lesson that the show wants to convey and that their lives may take them on different paths. Maybe Maeve goes back to America in the end, and Otis will let her go because he wants the best for her. It's going to be bittersweet as always, but remember Otis's Dad lives in America so maybe a time jump in the last episode where they meet up again a bit more mature and the spark is still there...?

People say Rotis will be Endgame yet Otis clearly admitted that he didn’t feel the same way that Ruby did and only got with Ruby because he thought Maeve didn’t want to do anything with him but Maeve told him that she didn’t hear the message and he confessed that he loves her which shows that Otis feels and has more chemistry with Maeve than he did with Ruby

I miss their connection in season 1. Still 100% team motis, but it doesn’t feel the same with them anymore, without the clinic, without awkward Otis.
13:06 is where they should have ended the series. They also should have had Maeve end things with Isaac and cut him out of her life when she found out about his betraying her by invading her privacy and deleting Otis's message, sabotaging their potential relationship. Having her get with him after she knew about this and then deliberate between him and Otis was awful and super problematic, there's absolutely no choice between them. I could also have done without Otis's embarrassing drunken speech in series 2 and one night stand turned deeply contrived relationship with Ruby, in series 3 it all felt so out of character for them both and seemed to artificially resolve all his sexual anxieties without actually addressing them instead of giving him the character growth he deserved. It also massively bugged me how they totally glossed over Ola's ultimatum and how Maeve tried to sabotage Otis and Ola's budding relationship through what she said to Ola at the ball. For a series which generally did a stand out job of not glossing over problematic things, I found this quite inconsistent. They also took far too long to get Otis and Maeve together, and sidelined their relationship too much in series 2 and 3 to drag it out and keep audiences watching, only to keep artificially separating or sabotaging them at every opportunity. We won't even talk about the travesty that was their story line and disappointingly anticlimactic ending in series 4, which totally betrayed both characters and the relationship arc they'd been working towards from the very beginning. They really fucked Otis over. I genuinely loved the first 3 seasons of Sex Education and it got me so emotionally invested in the characters and relationships, but I can't be the only person feeling hugely let down by the writing, it really lost it's way and although series 4 was bad, you can see it starting to go awry from series 2 on. What a shame the writers couldn't just let Otis and Maeve be together and be happy.
I know many are shipping Otis and Ruby and no offence to that but please dude!! Its not for anybody else but OTIS!!! Its only and truly about Otis this time! He deserves Maeve! He deserves to be with her, he wants to, wills to be with her, he thinks she’s his person and most importantly, OTIS frickin’ LOVES MAEVE! He frickin’ earned it! So IT SHOULD BE OTIS AND MAEVE! It has always been them, it is them and it should always ALWAYS be them! And that is it! OTIS DESERVES TO BE WITH MAEVE or it would be an injustice to him.
Ever seen how Otis looks at Maeve and she looks at him?
They never look at anyone else like that! See Otis's expression when he gifts maeve a 5 years diary and Maeve calls him when he's about to leave. His heart craves Maeve like no one else. He frickin' DESERVES to be with Maeve. And tbh, so does Maeve. Maeve earned it to be with Otis too! She deserves him just as much.
Otis and Maeve are a lot like each other. They are similar by heart. They help people even if those people are terrible to them (i.e when Otis helped Adam despite him being a complete jerk to Otis and Maeve helping Ruby all though she slut shames Maeve like literally all the time (remember how Ruby was being happy and smirking when drunk Otis rebuked Maeve? It clearly shows how ungrateful Ruby is despite Maeve had helped her. Whereas, she should have been a bit, at least a tad bit nicer and if not so then be neutral to Maeve after what Maeve had done for her but of course! Ruby is RUBY!)).
They even showed that, no matter how many times otis had it (sex) with Ruby, he mentions the kiss with Maeve as the best (upon Eric’s query).
No matter how and where the storyline goes, Otis did love Maeve the most thoroughly. With everything he had, he only loved her so far!
And about Ruby again, im sorry once again but all she sees is herself! She is self centred and selfish. Lol, She didn't even notice that Otis wasn't in the bus until she saw him out in the open with Maeve. Which clearly shows she’s not bothered about him at all. Ik, the defenders will say, it’s because she was hurt but Dude! We dont stop caring for the people we love upon being hurt, do we? She doesn’t care about Otis at frickin’ all!
From trying to change his style or personality or whatever to trying to control his moves and him, Ruby never showed acceptance for the real Otis. Has she?
has Maeve ever done it? No! But Ruby did! Maeve fell for Otis just the way Otis was and had been unlike Ruby who happened to fall for him after witnessing his niceness only!
If she's all about herself (that I really didn't like about her at all, of course) then how on earth does she even deserve Otis even for a second and earn the shippers? Thus, my apologies but I really dont see the fuzz about Ruby. All she did was to fall for Otis which eventually she was meant to (and i dont think is something to go on '"OMGG'" for). Otis is extremely lovable and girls ARE to fall for him after witnessing how caring he was and her loving him seeing how he actually was, was very natural as well as obvious but by no means she's done anything extraordinary to have fallen for Otis. So far in the series, She has neither been helpful nor been nice to anyone (not to even Otis weirdly but people seemed to have neglected that and only focused on her opening up about herself to him) but her so-called untouchable trio friends! So i literally see no reason for fans going crazy for them (maybe just because they showed their romance, sex, and making out a lot more) but whoever knows how true love is supposed work and see how Otis sees Maeve and how even Maeve looks at Otis, can never ever want anyone else for both of them but them!
No hate! Ruby perhaps is nice but for OTIS!? HE SHOULD ONLY GET MAEVE. HE AND MAEVE, FRICKIN' DESERVE EACH OTHER AND IT WILL BE A HUGE DISASTER IN THE SERIES AND INJUSTICE TO BOTH OF THEM IF THEY DON'T GET TO BE WITH EACH OTHER IN THE END!

So I’ve never seen this show so I am making assumptions based on this video, but basically this whole relationship is Otis pursuing her and she constantly breaking his heart intentionally or accidentally. And every time he moves on she finally makes her overtures and muddy the waters for him and when he finally snaps in frustration she basically makes him the asshole and he comes hat in hand to apologize and ask her forgiveness and permission for him to line after her again.
That about sum it all up?
