    Thanks for the video, is there a quick method for bleeding the fuel off the high pressure line?

    Did you put grease or motor oil on the black diamond gasket? I see it is coated with something. Thanks

    Do you know if the parts and the steps to fix this will be the same for an 08 Lexus GS460 since they both have the same engine?

    Wow! This is a great fuel pump gasket install! Seems like this job will takes about 1/2 - 1 hour once you remove all the plastic coverings. hour for the repair. And also being a knowledgeable mechanic. Did you have to calibrate anything with Techstream after you did the gasket repair. Great job and one hand too!

    • @Autoenginecheck
      @Autoenginecheck  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No need to calibrate but the first time the engine starts will be delayed by a few seconds

    I think I hear a knocking coming from one of the fuel pumps you did in this video. Do they knock before giving out? My exhaust smokes a bit and smells like gas also. This a bad fuel pump can cause this ? Thank you so much.

      These pumps tend to get loud throughout time. Knocking, loud metallic ticking sounding. If it bothers you that much, you can replace it. It will happen again though. No known issues if left alone, just replace gaskets.

      I have some light smoke coming put of my exhaust and already tested to see if I had a coolant leak into the engine with that head gasket blue liquid test. Luckily no issue there. I have a leak from the fuel pumps though . Think if i replace the gaskets ,that should fix the exhaust being too lean ? Thank you.

      @@sgbabyflex Coolant leaks can be tricky to detect on these V8 motors. Unless, it gets to a point where you’re constantly checking & refilling the coolant reservoir. When cold, your coolant should sit on the FULL line. When warmed up it should be above FULL line. In the 2URGSE, we discovered valley plate leaks by sticking a borescope camera in a specific spot by the passenger side runners. With the camera you’ll be able to see the coolant seepage. I honestly, don’t think a leaking fuel pump gasket will cause smoke to exit from exhaust.

      I'm have Lexus gs350, we finished working the engine, when I start the car it works well, but when the steam like 3 minutes it will trip off, and won't start until the car is cold before it will start. So I scanned the car and it showed p1235, high pressure fuel pump circuit. Pls can these leads to these problem?
