My pops does the same exact thing. Pal or buddy always. Typically and Italian thing. I know his mom is Peruvian if I remember right but I wonder what his pops is.
lol and he's supposed to be the guy who said there is no better feeling than killing the enemy in regards to nam. I think that makes "Hey buddy" even cooler.
I love how excited top dog says hey buddy to Tom. You can tell he's genuinely happy Tom called. I can barely get my dad to answer the phone. So jelly lol
@@TrentTheMegaGangster he passed just before New Years. He was exposed to Agent Orange during his time in the military which causes a cancer called multiple myeloma later in life. He’s had it for a few years apparently but it got worse this year
Toms personality makes so much sense now. His dad fostered his childish sense of humor and crisp irony while his mom repeatedly broke him emotionally and mentally
His dad's voice went from Hello in an "ugh who's calling" annoyed voice to a "HEYYY BUDDDDDY" in the same voice a dad talks to his 7 year old lol. Your dad rocks !!
He will always be a seven year old to his father. That is the sweetest and saddest reality of parenting. My son will always be two, five, ten, fifteen, as long as I will know him.
I say something very similar to my friends and family every time they comment on my eating habits. The look of confusion on their faces is worth the risk. 🤣
It's like coded phrase, they make sure nobody in either situation is really calling in the middle of a hostage crisis, or something. Like, if Top Dog says, "Oh, she's a bit tied up right now." Tom is expected to go, "Oh, I see, if you guys are busy, I'll call later." and then call the cops.
I laughed so hard I started choking on a piece of chicken. I actually almost died when his dad said "You know when a drop dead gorgeous woman walks on the elevator and she's got legs up to her....shoulders"
Going back and listing to all the calls to top dog again and every time he says “hey buddy!” just gets to me now. Gonna miss the calls. Sending love to the segura’s. RIP Top Dog.
Going back to every top dog episode because I feel like a lost a family member. RIP Top Dog, many prayers to Charro, Tom, Christina and the rest of the family. 🙏🏽
Hearing him say “Hey, Buddy!” with such love and excitement is heartwarming and heartbreaking now that he’s gone. I’m going to call my Dad today, try these with him and see what happens.
The fact that Tom can just casually tell his dad he loves him and isn't not swamped with anxiety and fear over such a simple thing tells me that my relationship with my parents is probably not the most stable.
The way his Dad said "Hey Buddy, how you doing?" is great. Just awesome and heartwarming. And Christina's reaction saying "He's so sweet." Just a really good, in the moment, clip.
The way his Dad calls him "Buddy" makes him sound like such a sweet and kindhearted man. I'm sure he'll be devastated when Tom's victims start turning up...
I’m a big advocate for giving genuine compliments to men a lot because they don’t get complimented HALF as much women. I said to a guy at Starbucks “ excuse me but you are rocking that shirt. No way in hell my husband could pull that look off” and everytime you do it you should see how their face fucking LIGHT UP 😂
Watching them cheese and hearing the booth laugh coupled with the simple kindness from his dad asking what they would think if they knew what we think. Classic It is like they have brought a thanksgiving dinner to the podcast daily.
Your dad saying "Hey buddy" the way he does is so genuine and loving. It's simple yet it says alot about how he feels about you
His whole delivery changes so much from the initial "hello". I always get excited when they decide to call Top Dog. So wholesome.
TopDog gets so happy when Tom calls. He loves Tom so much.
Have you seen when Tom calls his boy an immediately says "Hey Buddy." You're 100% right. Its subtle but its wholesome :)
@E R Are you simple?
My pops does the same exact thing. Pal or buddy always. Typically and Italian thing. I know his mom is Peruvian if I remember right but I wonder what his pops is.
“Hey buddy” is the most wholesome answer compared to the subject of the conversation
Right?! He had genuine happiness in his voice when he said that! I felt instantly happy 😀
lol and he's supposed to be the guy who said there is no better feeling than killing the enemy in regards to nam. I think that makes "Hey buddy" even cooler.
I love how excited top dog says hey buddy to Tom. You can tell he's genuinely happy Tom called. I can barely get my dad to answer the phone. So jelly lol
Hey Buddy!
he's always so excited to hear from tom, it's great
Man I'm going to miss him saying hey buddy to Tom. Rip top dog
Man me too ✋ 😪 top dog will live for ever with me reminds me of my dad r.i.p. top dog
WHAT!? what happend?
@@TrentTheMegaGangster he passed just before New Years. He was exposed to Agent Orange during his time in the military which causes a cancer called multiple myeloma later in life. He’s had it for a few years apparently but it got worse this year
IKR watching this clip isnt the same now. his dad was so wholesome^^ r.i.p
That’s exactly why I came back to this clip
Love hearing the laughter from the tech guys in the next room. Never change that.
Whenever I hear them laugh I swear they sound insane.
That's my favorite part of the show!😂😂😂
I just noticed this today and it geeks me out everytime
Nadav losing it in the background kills me every time. I have to rewind multiple times to get through a video.
6:25 .... pure gold from them
Toms personality makes so much sense now. His dad fostered his childish sense of humor and crisp irony while his mom repeatedly broke him emotionally and mentally
So true
Look at Dr.Phil over here
Perfect balance
😂😂😂
I was gna like the comment but its on 420
His dad's voice went from Hello in an "ugh who's calling" annoyed voice to a "HEYYY BUDDDDDY" in the same voice a dad talks to his 7 year old lol. Your dad rocks !!
He will always be a seven year old to his father. That is the sweetest and saddest reality of parenting. My son will always be two, five, ten, fifteen, as long as I will know him.
Now imagine that voice saying, "There's no better feeling than killing the enemy" or "I threw grenades into bunkers...".
After I heard him tell that story I’ve been waiiiittiiinnnggg. It would be sooo perfect 😂😂
Hey buddy
Hey, buddy! Here's a grenade for ya. Enjoy!
Oh yeah. It feels good
Damn woodpecker.
Top Dog's Hey Buddy is more love than my Dad showed to me over 12 years.
lol
I love you son
Too close to home, buddy.
@E R Sheesh. Someone's jeans are low and loose.
E R I’m gonna ignore you like I ignore a random homeless person screaming in the street
I’ll never tire of Top Dog’s pure puppy-like glee when he hears Tom on the other end of the phone. “Hey buddy” makes my day
“I was at a party one time, and someone pulled out a marijuana cigarette, and I said: I’m outta here.”
Cool story nerd lol i love that special
There’s no better feeling than killing the enemy.
There is no better feeling than being sober and killing the enemy
Okay, lieutenant...
“I’m just using it. I don’t care if I die.” - words to live by.
I say something very similar to my friends and family every time they comment on my eating habits. The look of confusion on their faces is worth the risk. 🤣
Odi
Exactly.
He says hey buddy like a cartoon character. It's so funny every time.
He is like a human golden retriever
Hot sauce is the best
@@doodoodoometal i like ur pfp brother aic is the best
Christina's reaction to "Hey Buddy" is always the best.
"There's definitely a mouthful there"
When Christina went for the high five after the what's up dawg joke.
And then she went for a very cool fistbump
No she just put her fist in the air
“She’s playing bridge” is a routine line on this podcast.
I think we need a weekly top dawg segment
Top Dog- Hey buddy
Tom- Wheres mom?
Top Dog- Playing bridge
😂 if u dont hear those three things when they talk, something is wrong
It's like coded phrase, they make sure nobody in either situation is really calling in the middle of a hostage crisis, or something. Like, if Top Dog says, "Oh, she's a bit tied up right now." Tom is expected to go, "Oh, I see, if you guys are busy, I'll call later." and then call the cops.
Do you remember which episode it was when Tom yelled "Fuck with the fuckin Bridge" 🤣 that killed me.
That Hey Buddy answer in the first call was epic. RIP top dog, helluva man
I laughed so hard I started choking on a piece of chicken. I actually almost died when his dad said "You know when a drop dead gorgeous woman walks on the elevator and she's got legs up to her....shoulders"
That is some hilarious imagery right there
Reminded me of those Chloe Grace Moretz edits where her whole body is just her legs lol.
Tell her to quit Slav squatting
You were laughing while choking your chicken?
Man I think your relationship with your dad is awesome. You’re so lucky. You can hear his love for you in every “buddy” he says.
“Hey buddy how you doing” is the cutest shit ever!!
Going back and listing to all the calls to top dog again and every time he says “hey buddy!” just gets to me now. Gonna miss the calls. Sending love to the segura’s. RIP Top Dog.
The "up dog" joke....... I died!!
When was nedav? Cuz tom did it to his dad too
Papa Segura with that "4th grade joke" comeback was gold
"well thats a mouthful right there" true dad lmao
5:21 my man is a 40 yo bald fat bear and still called buddy by his pops, that thing melted my heart
The guys laughing in the background makes this 10x more funnier😂😂😂😂
Damn, that "Hey Buddy" hits way different now.
:(
I have never laughed harder at the “up-dog” joke with Top Dog than anything else on this podcast. Gotta love Top Dog
@Cody Laramore
Yes! Was paralyzed with laughter! One of the most suspenseful and rewarding Updogs of all time!
The hysterical laughing in the background gets me everytime
Please please please. We need a top dog, “Hey Buddy” shirt.
M...e.... Me... Emmy
Wack
Top Dog is the flirting GOAT
This man is undefeated
Word!
Going back to every top dog episode because I feel like a lost a family member. RIP Top Dog, many prayers to Charro, Tom, Christina and the rest of the family. 🙏🏽
5:22 😭😭😭 So much joy hearing his sons voice. Rest easy, Top Dog
Hearing him say “Hey, Buddy!” with such love and excitement is heartwarming and heartbreaking now that he’s gone. I’m going to call my Dad today, try these with him and see what happens.
Whomever that is literally DYING of laughter in the far background, I'm right there with em 😂
RIP Top Dog, I enjoy visiting these older clips
I LOVE THE OFFSCREEN LAUGHS 😂😂😂
"Does the underwiring in your bra set off the metal detector at the airport?"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He seemed like a real sweetheart! Sorry for your loss Mr. Tom
This is one of my favorite clips from the show. The call with dad was great
"There's no way out, the walls are closing in" I laughed so fucking hard
That guy laughing in the back 😂😂
Tom and Christina: _thinks of horrifically creepy pick-up lines_
Top Dog: _disagrees and comes up with something a bit less intense_
All I know is it worked on Tom’s mom.
The fact that Tom can just casually tell his dad he loves him and isn't not swamped with anxiety and fear over such a simple thing tells me that my relationship with my parents is probably not the most stable.
if you aren't able to casually tell them that then yes you're prob correct.
yeah dude, therapy, you may need it
Oh man. Only just seeing that Tom's dad passed away in Jan. Rest in peace Top Dog. Seemed like such a cool dad and was obviously so proud of his son.
Top dog is the best part of the whole show. We need to get a Dogcast going. Tom and his dad just talk while mom plays bridge.
Can you imagine the two of them commentating the bridge game?
The way his Dad said "Hey Buddy, how you doing?" is great. Just awesome and heartwarming. And Christina's reaction saying "He's so sweet." Just a really good, in the moment, clip.
Here for a "Hey Buddy" ❤❤❤ RIP TD ❤
Tom's pickup technique is specifically for truly cool guy's ONLY!
loose and low, bro.
Rip top dawg 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 you can tell how much Tom loved him 😔
Tom up dogging his dad is one of the purest examples of comedy I’ve seen
RIP TOP DOG 🙏🏽
We lost a great one 😞
RIP Top Dog! I know Tom and everyone listening to the podcast will miss the "hey buddy" its so genuine.
I love y'all so much. The relationship vibe you have is the one I've always wanted. So fucking hilarious.
I really respect how they relate as a mature confident couple. I wish all relationships could operate in this type of tolerance. I ❤️ it. #DOPE.
“How have you not just thrown mom out a window?” 😂
I miss Top Dog so much already 😢😢😢
The way Tom's dad says "Hey Buddy!" makes me wish I had a dad!👨👩👧
I laughed way to hard at that up dog joke
He clearly loved his son. Seems like a happy man. Rip top dog
this is truly the greatest show on the internet
Tom's dad is so fkn funny.. you need to get him on the show
Rest In Peace Top Dog. Keep it high and tight up in heaven.
I love how Tom’s eyes glaze over when he impersonates his aunt
RIP TOP DOG. The Man.
RIP Top Dog - love that YT brought this back around.
What better gift to give to your dad than to let this crazy world experience his personality. Top Dog 4 Life.
Somebody needs to make a compilation of Tom's dad answering the phone "Hey Buddy!" 😂😂😂😂
Fun fact: the underwire in bras used to set off metal detectors at the airport but not anymore
The background laughter ALWAYS makes me laugh!!!😂😂😂😂
Love when Christina goes in for a high five after the high five joke and Tom leaves her hanging... I mean: that's just perfect.
The way his Dad calls him "Buddy" makes him sound like such a sweet and kindhearted man. I'm sure he'll be devastated when Tom's victims start turning up...
R.I.P. Top Dog! I miss you so much!
Why was Tom’s dad falling for updog the funniest thing I’ve ever seen
Tom getting red from laughing so hard gives me life
I smile every time I hear the "hey buddy"
I fucking love this damn show....keep it going. The aunt Blanca bit is amazing, "death by a thousand paper cuts". Rocksteady Tom and Cris!!!!
Rest in peace Top Dog!!!
It's crazy how much I miss Top Dog. He really was a father to all us mommies
Sorry about your loss! He was the greatest ever!
The "Hey Buddyyyy" is so sweet
Man I'm feeling for Tom I lost my dad at 21 and it sure is a void
The way Tom looks at Christina when his dad says "legs up to her shoulders" is the type of relationship I aspire to have one day
The updog joke was fuckin beautiful. RIP Top Dog
Holy shit his Dad is awesome and the "hey buddy" was amazing
i can remember this being the first time i heard top dog during a live show. rip
R.I.P Top Dog
The “what’s up dog” joke floored me 🤣
I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. "Whats, 'up dog'?"
“That’s like a fourth grade joke”😂😂😂
I’m a big advocate for giving genuine compliments to men a lot because they don’t get complimented HALF as much women. I said to a guy at Starbucks “ excuse me but you are rocking that shirt. No way in hell my husband could pull that look off” and everytime you do it you should see how their face fucking LIGHT UP 😂
Lmao Tom’s aunt voice has me rolling
The hooters joke..say to her u want the drum or the flat? 😂
Now Tom makes sense to me. His dad is a horn dog as well 😂 people all have horrible thoughts but this son and father just saw it out loud, badass 😂
Toms dad should be apart of the show !! We need his wisdom.
!
Timmy got Top Dog with the "updog". What a classic!
Watching them cheese and hearing the booth laugh coupled with the simple kindness from his dad asking what they would think if they knew what we think. Classic It is like they have brought a thanksgiving dinner to the podcast daily.
8:18 for the best Tom reaction ever
RIP Top Dog :( fav calls
