Lawrence and Gladys are natural TH-camrs, both are so cute. Lawrence’s accent is crystal clear to me while there are many other locals in Manchester are on the other hand hard to understand.

Love this episode! The curriculum is so helpful! Would love to watch more about how to carry out conversations with English people and what we can chat about! While they do a lot of talking during breaks in the workplace, I find it very hard to participate in their chatting as we don't have similar living styles, so I don't know what topics I can chat with them. It would be great if you could give us some tips about this. Many thanks!

關於quite interesting, quite good之類,他不同意就是not interesting, not good的意思。 但是他也同意really good比較清楚就是really good.

I like the topic of what not to say to English people. Perhaps you may consider having a theme focusing on language / colloquial expression, separating it from cooking. Cooking can be an individual theme for those who are interested in it.

I remember in tbose days when English was the medium of language, I heard a lot starting with "with respect" when they actually disagreed with you. Then, the Hongkongers learned about this and used to using this phrase and started saying "with 'due' respect" to express any disagreement.

While learning of the norms i hope English could also learn to be more direct - they are so reluctant to communicate I have neighbors who just do things their way and never ask, like parking their car outside your door for days because they have a renovation going on, or don’t show up without a phone call, or show up one day early unannounced.. and some couriers never knock on your door though they know you’re in, they just pretend you weren’t there.. they just expect you to accept it. that’s quite rude for any Nationality
