Hey man, good job with the vids, I’ve watched a bunch. Also have an xr400 and a handful of other bikes too.. seems like we’re neighbors, I’ve been going to MM207 desert wells for a couple decades. I’ve never been on these trails tho. This is north side of the 60?
@diyvintagemotorsports Thanks man I appreciate the words of encouragement! Yes, this is right across the 60 on the north side. I've only been in AZ for 4 yrs...hopefully not breaking any rules. 🙄
That 400 is pretty sweet mate, i might have to try one, there's a few for sale around where i live at the moment, to bad i can't really afford one at the moment. My partner had a go on my old 600 the other day. It's her first time riding a motorbike in around 35 years or more. Last time and also first time she's ever ridden motorbikes was on her family's xr125 farm bike back when she was 12, she used to take it up into the forestry tracks with her friends on weekends occasionally. I took a 30 second clip of her riding it last weekend. It's only riding around the yard but considering it's been so long and also first time ever on a 600 i think she did well. Check out my channel to watch it you like. 👍 Handled it no problem. Might take her up some tame forestry tracks next.
@@DestinationDesert Thanks mate. Yeah i think she handled it good too for not riding in so long. The 600 is probably a bit big for her but it's all good she's a big girl lol. Will get her back into the forestry next after a couple more practices around the sheds. I'll try get some footage next month of my mate and I riding through the base of the mountains and rivers down south. Think I'll just take the old 600 for that trip rather than the 650 this time and my mate will be on his XR250👍. No idea how to edit videos yet but I'll have a try. I have an old GoPro I can use.
@@DestinationDesert yes thanks I can imagine. I know how much time and effort you guys put into your videos and appreciate the work involved by you guys, it's awesome to watch cool videos done well by people like yourself. I doubt mine will be good anytime soon but it may be a slow journey in gathering better cameras and mic's and experience etc as I go. At this stage it will start off extremely basic till I invest in some better tools, maybe a drone one day in the future as I've always thought would be cool to catch nice footage with that in the areas I get out into. More so to collect a few cool memories perhaps to look back on in years to come and also share with anyone ous around the globe who's interested in the same type of thing. Will be a channel of remote hiking, camping and adventure bike riding in beautiful areas of New Zealand along with the odd bit of classic truck show footage in NZ as well. Will see how I go lol. It may be a complete flop, but I got to start somewhere right.
Nice video!

@bush600r2 Thanks man! Keep an eye on them...if they have it for sale for a few months they're more willing to negotiate! Cheers!
@bush600r2 Hell yeah...she did great! I also have a video of my wife riding my xr600r. She was like..."This things a beast!" Lol

@@bush600r2 The hardest part for me is recording and editing...it takes time and enjoyment away from the riding
