Modded! Crappy 1995 Generic Hydraulic Elevator @ UMD Solon Campus Center - Duluth, MN

Here is the Solon Campus centers pretty crappy elevator. Surprisingly, it runs very well and is quite nicely maintained, but it’s crap in the sense that it’s just not a good elevator to begin with. It feels cheap, the doors sound pretty bad and it’s slow. Technically it doesn’t need to exist, but the convenience of being able to go between all the floors it serves is nice. It originally had Adam’s Survivor Plus buttons and the same dot matrix indicator. The mod redid the cab and replaced the inner fixtures with innovation bruiser. It’s a stupid mod, they should of replaced this with an Ecodisc or Schindler 5500 because a hydraulic is way too slow for the traffic. Really though, it’s a terribly designed area, should have been made for 2 elevators if they were that committed to hydros.
During the day, you cannot get a ride to yourself as it’s always busy. It stops at every floor during busy hours in the student center and usually had 6-7 people in it per trip. I lived on campus at the time and was able to record late. I wish I filmed more videos here, I mostly just got the ones that I hadn’t seen elsewhere.
