Bought this exact light kit and all…worked perfectly…except…my battery started sizzling and smoking….I thought there was a propane leak, so I did the soapy water test on all the connections…nothing….put my ear to the battery and that was a big problem so now I need to go get another battery. lol. Great light kit and set up! I appreciate it!
love the set up and the truck! just wondering how bright they are at night im looking to do this same set up to my travel trailer thanks to you for all the links just wanted to see how bright they are because brighter is better lol and I'm not spending $800 for boogies lights
One season so far so good. It has been in storage this winter up here in Minnesota. Pretty sure they are outdoor rated. “Water proof” might mean no putting them on a boat trailer maybe lol. Doubling up would mean two separate controls. Less wire jumping I suppose if you can get them to both to turn on simultaneously from the same remote.
Really well actually. I was nervous when I bought that big of a camper, but it picks up quick right in the power band. I’ve never had to “floor it”, even getting up to speed up hill. I do have the 6.2 with the 10 speed though.
@@TruckOwnership101thanks! That is awesome to hear. My truck is actually not very comparable to yours because I have the 5.3 with 8 speed. But I do have the max tow package with the 3.42 rear end. Max tow cap is 11500 so I think I’ll be good.
I know this was filmed two years ago did the lights hold up over time. i show they mention not to expose to rain. Hope they did as i would love to do this.

I really like what you done! And May do the same on a pontoon boat I have! Thank you for posting on utube!
Nice job! Looks great. Still think is worth it a year later ?
Link to the set you installed ? Looks good
How or where do the wires all connect when you do the other side? Thanks for the help!

I noticed that these are not waterproof. How have they held up so far? I am doing both sides and have a 30’ toy hauler. Just double up on everything?

Interested to know you thoughts on how the Silverado tows that camper.

What’s the width /size on 3m tape link is outdated? And did you redo the splice where the two strands connect?
Can you have just a solid color no chasing?
Be courteous to your camping neighbor and don’t make it too bright. Most appreciate the night time when camping. Enjoy what you did.
Absolutely ! I can't stand campers with annoying lights or noise in pay campgrounds.

Did you only do 1 side?
Yes, just our campsite side.
What number is that setting. Red white blue
