I really think they just need to get rid of the launcher. Make him have throwables instead so he is not vulnerable with the launcher out. All this rework is making me think is I should have just played Nomad. Current Grim just makes me think I should have played Capitao. Also bees should make you unable to sprint and should be a constant ping.
I like the second remake idea. It would be like nomad. But with more canisters (4-5) and without a warning sound. That would be a good trade for ping enemies instead of throw them

Too similar to capitao. They need to make it so the launcher is an attachment replacing the grip like buck. And the bees either need to come out before 3 seconds or cover a larger radius.
All these mfs had to do is to let the grim gadget stay forever until someone shoots it. This way you can cover up areas behind you and look for people in site while they also get distrected by it.
2 settings, one where it can make a growing ball of bees from the ball, stops growing after a time or on balls destruction, and a mode that makes a thinner wall of them, not too hard to walk out the way of, but grows quite long unless stopped early by destroying the ball, wall may or may not try to fall to a nearby floor height to prevent the wall from being at an odd angle if it’s placed at an angle
I think if you hold the trigger before firing, the bees come out automatically like Hingis gadget, but if you just shoot it with no hold, it will stay until triggered by an enemy coming near it similar to nomads gadget
You should throw the canister and it is permanently there until someone destroys it, it should be like offensive proximity alarms that ping the enemy and if it keeps the hive visible it should be allowed to stick to walls or something so we can hide the canister best we can
I think grims gadget should only be activated when u pass it and pings you and also makes u scream but also if u stand there to long the bees sting you like a Leason trap and the only way to lose them is to run for 2 or 3 seconds or even just walk away out of the radius and if u shoot the nest pod it activates like a goyo trap and if u end up running thru it makes u scream pinging ur location and stings u like angry bees
i think if they make grims ability when you deploy it instead of the bugs just sticking to the ground they can either swarm to any moving operators in a room or actively roam a room in a limited aoe i think that would make the game more futuristic and cool. My opinion tho.
Honestly. I think if I had to rework grim it would probably be to make it last 15 seconds and once you walk through the bees, the bees will attach itself and constantly ping them every 2 seconds. Also, removing them would put them in an animation lock similar to a lesion mine, where they would maybe pick apart like 3 bees similar to the animation while reviving youself using rook armor. An extra addition would be to make him a 2 speed with 2 smoke grenades since his ability is more useful on post plant and adding the bees in the smoke will give it some area denial giving the user wallhacks through the smoke which makes it more intimidating to push a smoke when its made by grim. While the 2 speed is mostly because I just find it ridiculous how they gave grim, who's kit is more suitable for flank watching a 3 speed when his kit is not that suited for a fragger role or maybe he was suppose to be a sort of flex which explains why it lasted for 5 seconds for entrying. Which still makes no sense but whatever ig.
I think maybe when you equip the gadget you got 2 option you can throw it or place on the the ground or wall it like ying when you hold it and aim at barricage
