As someone who finished Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric four times and who love this game a lot, it was really cool another person passionate enough about this game to make a challenge like that. The reveal at the end that you could just spam the dodge to get infinite I-frames is just priceless.

Looks like I’m the 4th person. I actually really liked this game as a Kid, exploring the Hubworlds and doing side missions was my favorite thing to do. Sadly it crashes whenever I start a New save file so I haven’t been able to play it in years.

Gameplay and strategy: 10/10. Commentary 10/10. Editing 10/10. The random gags fit so well into the video and I love your honesty. I think I found your channel not long before you posted your second video and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the "Is It Possible To Beat Shadow the Hedgehog without Weapons and Vehicles?" was made since it was your first. I'm cool with waiting a few months for uploads given how high quality they are, plus I don't want you getting burned out or running out of content ideas. Heck, your videos are more active in my life than my dad lol. :D

No joke, this video partially going over the actual gamedesign makes me really feel how interessting it actually could have been if Sega didn't absolutely murder it. I've never played Lyric but I watched anyway. That's staying power.
While it would be cool for what you say at the end of the video, you wouldn't want to suffer burnout by going too fast.
My suggestion for the next video: Sonic Unleashed without touching a single ring. It also doubles as a "don't get hit", at least for the Hedgehog portions.
Finding out during the last battle that you could have been invincible almost any time you had control over your character... I think I'd have trashed the video if I learned that, but I'm glad you didn't :v
Jokes aside, this was a bit of a learning experience. I opted for Shattered Crystal over Rise of Lyric so I never played this one, but I didn't hear many nice things about it. Going through the game without getting hit does expose how the game was designed in a lot of areas, for better or for worse, and I do find that interesting regardless of the quality of the game itself.
If he had known this from the start of this video he probably would of banned dodging from this challenge
This doesn't really affect the challenge that much, but with those two bridges around the 9 minute mark, you don't actually need to fight the enemies; you just have to dodge until the bridge aligns
Just from the mic quality and editing alone I can see a big improvement from your last two videos. Amazing content as always, keep growing friend!

I said it once and I'll say it again. The fact that you played this on regular hardware really shows how easy the challenge is. It really shows how determined you are to complete this challenge. I much as I want to feel bad for the fact that this challenge took up so much of your time, it really shows how much effort you put into this video.

I've been emulating my Wii U games for at least 6 years now. My Wii U gamepad started getting stick drift and those things just aren't replaceable. Even during the Wii U lifespan Nintendo didn't sell them, they wanted you to send your entire Wii U as an RMA and still charge $150. That was half the price the entire system was when I got it.

Its suprised me greatly when i watched your shadow video becuas ei was thinking you had to be at least a semi big youtuber just to discover you ha donly uploaded 2 videos. Keep rocking it with the content! Also dont feel the need to rush out more videos cuz all the real fans will stay subscribed even if you go dark for a while. I for one whould rather have a high quality video every 4 or 5 or so month then have you scramble to release a video every month cuz thats just gonna result in your mental health being strained. (And hell the content whoul be lower wuality because of it so nobody wins)
I love your approach. When I play a game, I have already decided to try to get fun out of it, even if the game isn't offering fun on it's own terms. Sonic is a series that especially benefits from this approach sometimes, and I love finding a new way to enjoy a hard to love game.

Cool video! Would love to see a challenge video for more unknown games like Sonic Chronicles, Tails Adventure or Knuckles Chaotix and others. Feel like some games in the Sonic universe are hated or not as well known so have no challenges or not that many.

Aka: "Knuckles almost ruins the challenge with a pat to the back!"
Huh. I assume that hitting Dodge gives you invincibility frames throughout the entire animation, plus an unknown number of extra frames afterwards (allowing Infinite Chain Dodging to become truly invulnerable). You could test it out the post-dodge invincibility frames by dodging into that spike maze and seeing how long it takes after the dodge animation stops for you to take damage...
...on second thought, that would require playing more Sonic Boom, so probably better to ignore it.
I like how instead of: "oh 80% of the game is possible without X thing but with Y and Z exceptions"
You either find a way to progress without needing to make exceptions or the whole challenge is impossible

I personally think that this game is one of the most overhated game I've ever played. I don't think it's up there with some of the best of Sonic games, but I still had a fun time with it
