Kevin, just a bit of interesting info. Europe has been using pulsed SMAW for several years now, it's actually pretty common over there and some applications require the use of it on the drawings.
Had an early Longevity tig machine that would pulse in SMAW.. Was fun to play with.. It would also run the foot pedal in SMAW.. They assured me it wasn't supposed to do that!

Pulse tig is the cat's meow. I use it on my everlast welder all the time and it helps me keep my timing.
Our machines at work are the Miller aluma pro 350mpa's with the feeders. I weld overhead all the time 😉👍

Does running a TIG at a high pulse rate (e.g. 200/sec) put more wear and tear on your welder, possibly shortening it's working life?
Nope, that's what it was made to do. Have never had a frailer because of that. Or any other reason.
I'd love to see some videos on using pulse mig with an everlast welder. Peace out.

I can't wait to try out pulse welding with my powertig welder.
Takes a little while to get it dialed in right but once you do it is really helpful.

Michael Rhoads I have the 2016 version and mine does not pulse in stick mode.
I'd like to see Kevin work with an Everlast pulse mig welder.
