Someone could morally justify a lot of normally immoral acts if it’s a matter of life and death. This could include eating another human if necessary. Just because we could understand why someone could do that if they were stuck on an island and needed to survive doesn’t mean they would be justified in doing so just because they liked the taste. Animals are in survival situations. Lions are carnivores and need meat to live, but humans don’t. We can get what we need to survive from plants, so I believe killing an animal or paying for an animal to be killed when there are other options is wrong. Killing a sentient being just because you think they taste good shouldn’t sit right with people. We wouldn’t allow someone to breed a dog, keep them is unsanitary and traumatic conditions only barely kept alive through antibiotics, and then kill them at 4 years only because someone likes how they taste. We would like at that person as a sociopath, but we allow this to happen to billions of other animals every year (trillions including fish) 3. I have met many, many animals who clearly show emotions, and there are numerous studies showing this. My dog has her own personality, she has her own likes and dislikes that are not apparent in every dog, and she remembers people who weren’t nice to her and avoids them and others who look similar. Dogs who were abused show clear signs of trauma. I worked for an animal shelter where dogs would pee in fear if approached to quickly, hide, whimper, or get defensive/aggressive. They clearly feel emotion, remember past trauma, and do what they can to avoid future trauma. I’ve also seen documentaries about animal sanctuaries for animals rescued from the animal agricultural industry. Mother cows who have their calfs taken away from them so they can produce milk show extreme attachment issues after losing their children over and over. They chase after the trucks that have their calfs and cry out for them for days afterwards. One mother cow hid her baby from the sanctuary owners for three months so they wouldn’t take her baby away. Please try to challenge your assumption that animals don’t have thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Not only is that not supported at all by research, but spending time with them will show you how incorrect that is. I recommend watching “Dominon” on TH-cam to see what you’re paying for. What we’re doing to animals is horrific, unnatural, and cruel. It’s important to challenge our beliefs when others are suffering because of our choices. I genuinely feel that you would think differently after seeing what the animal agricultural industry is hiding from you.
@@Evelyn-nz4mp I know what abuses that happen in certain abattoirs/ slaughter houses. I am certainly not ignorant. My main argument is that it is wrong to humanize animals. Let me give you a scenario. A house is in fire. You have the choice to either save a human baby or say your pet dog. from dying. Which one would you save? Personally I would save the human baby, the dog would mean absolutely nothing to me.
I am sure she will, and also she will do her part to help others. She was amazed to think yes vegan is cheap. And she could not bear looking at the animals on those farms, and slaughter places. Realy she already was a vegan who just needed a hand. Joey came at just the right time.

Great conversation. What a joy to see such a curious and open minded young interviewee. And when she said, "This is wicked" she didn't mean it in the more modern sense, but in the way my mother would have referred to someone's behaviour as wicked. Which, absolutely, is what the animal agriculture industry is.
My tip as an Indian to all Western vegans: Please do consider adding daals (i.e. lentils like toor daal, moong daal, masoor daal, urad daal, chana daal; beans like raajma; legumes like chhole) into your meals!
LOVE IT! I am vegetarian, and only eat once a day, at nighttime. Daal satisfies me like few other foods do. Lentils are very special. Lately I've been cooking a mix with yellow, red, another kind, and also much beans moong... and for super-health and energy there is also the lovely plant that gives us khas-khas 🌷
@@nitai154 I love Halva, yummers indeed😋but Halva is already vegan, no? I used to kind of make my own "loose/flowy" halva, by getting Tahini at the store, and mixing it with honey or maple syrup. Honey of course can be avoided in favor of a sugar source that is more vegan. Actually the bee thing is kind of a trip... all of our plant foods rely on the hard work of the bees... but is it slavery if they do it to themselves? Do they have options??? 🤯anyway... Halva is delicious💖
Love how many questions she asks and how thoughtful she is, but also how willing she is to say "I don't know much about this, can you explain?". You can tell that she's really listening and opening her mind to a new perspective.
Vegan on a budget: 1. Morning: OATS + fruits (apples, berries or bananas) + dates + CHIA SEEDS 2. Lunch: Vegan burritos (Chickpeas + rice + avocado + any vegetables + cilantro sauce) OR Vegan bolognesa (Soja with tomato sauce) with a SALAD 3. Dinner: Chickpeas salad with fruit and vegetables or BEANS BURGUERS TIPS: *Always stick a carrot in your salad to get your vitamin A. *Always put chia seeds in your morning oats *CIlantro sauce with cashews, lime juice and dates IS THE BEST SHIT I`VE EVER TRIED!
And don't get burned on the chia seeds. They don't need to be expensive, but some sellers give them a super-food mark-up. Sometimes you literally only need to check a different shelf in the same shop. That sauce does sound good. We call 'cilantro' 'coriander' here in the UK.
But meat eaters don't consider the health cost of meat eating when they argue for is vegan cheap...guys what about the fat and cholestrol you get from meat and meat is one among the leading cause of heart diseases
This video was amazing, because for the first time in my life somebody reacts reasonably on the Vegan topic. I've watched thousands of talks and participated in some on the street and facebook, and that is the first human being that has a proper reaction: "I want to know more about what is going on. Why are you Vegan? Show me what is happening. I want to know!" And it talks good for her, but it doesn't talk very good for humanity. I thought that everybody would react this way. But I was wrong! I was wrong about human beings!
This is one of my favorite conversations that Joey has had. I love how open she was to receiving new information and hearing his perspective. She asked many great questions, which is an excellent way to learn.

She was really nice. I hope she follows through with her reactions and thinks twice next time she's shopping. As always Joey with the reality of animal abuse👍🤘 Thanks for being Joey😁
Excellent interaction, how refreshing to see and hear someone that has such an open mind and open heart, wanting to educate herself. Showing actual footage of animals suffering and dying on behalf of a meat eater is powerful, no normal compassionate person should be able to continue paying someone to abuse and murder innocent sentient beings on their behalf so they could have something to eat when they could easily choose something else to eat. Unless it's a survival situation there is no moral justification for not being vegan !
A lot of these debates are like a broken record. I watch them all, but I can see how Joey is so quick to respond, he’s had plenty of practice with the same bloody arguments lol. I aspire to be like you Joey ❤️ Edit: I feel like she really cared. I wanna give her a hug 🥺

Would you like to explain?" 16:11 "Are we supposed to eat them or not?" 16:20 "This isn't even hygienic!" 16:30 "How did you find them?" 17:44 "They're being suffocated!" 18:06 "Force?" 19:07 "Standard?" 19:32 "Are they gonna see them again?" 19:40 "But I don't see why they have to separate them." 20:21 "Whilst pregnant?" 20:37 "Shot?" 21:11 "It's like they're just like slaves." 21:31 "Why are they getting abused?" 22:32 "I don't think a lot of people know this information." 22:43 "What propaganda?" 22:35 "The main topic out of all of this, it's money." 24:04 "How can it be a cheap decision?" 25:35 "Ooh! What a woman. Open, intelligent and asking questions out of interest and a will to learn. So refreshing! Well done Joey; you are slowly getting there - keep going, you're a Saint!
She's an excellent listener and conversationalist, it's crazy how most people I talk to (not just about veganism) aren't really paying attention or asking relevant questions, Ida was actually genuinely engaged
Ida if you read this, know that it is a bit effort to change your diet at first, but if you just do 1 new vegan meal at a time maybe even once a week, trying vegan versions of the food you like, and trying new dishes completely, you'll realise it's no sacrifice at all, it becomes normal. I was a student too, I ate tonnes of meat, but man it's just not worth what we do to these animals to get it. Its weird, because it's so accepted and normal to eat meat, and one time we did need to do it, but like you mentioned about slavery, that was accepted in this country once, and that was very wrong. There are plenty of vegan Christians too, imo it's more Christian to not kill animals when you don't need to than otherwise.
The random baby crying in the background while discussing calf separation was painful. Gave me goosebumps. 😞Ida was so lovely and kind. I'm sure she'll make the switch. Good job Joey!

I think this conversation was purely productive and amazing to watch the blossoming bud of her conscious consumerism. If people do not like the marketed vegan cheese one can always make their own. It’s a messy yet fun experience to do so.
I live a modest life I am not rich. I live in Ontario Canada which means we have long cold winters with lots of snow and I have been vegan for 10 yrs no problem. I also run a boxing , Muay Thai gym so I am not weak and starving! Being vegan is not hard it’s just different.
Thank dear Joey for exposing the truth. Thank you for standing up for animals and all the oppressed. You are doing the work of prophets. God bless your heart
20:35 male calves won’t be shot in the farms anymore in the UK, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to live. The farmers will have to send them to the slaughterhouse instead if they don’t want to raise them for veal of beef.
why are they banning this practice anyway? to me, it seems like being shot in the head is less painful than being improperly stunned and then have throat slit
Love, love, love the way Joey changed the narrative from animals created by the Creator to animals selectively bred by humans to be used as food. Difference is the Creator created free animals with their specific habitats and systems to live on this planet, just like the human animal.

She’s so awesome, hope she goes vegan, hope she also makes other people vegan 🌱
I am sure she will, and also she will do her part to help others. She was amazed to think yes vegan is cheap. And she could not bear looking at the animals on those farms, and slaughter places. Realy she already was a vegan who just needed a hand. Joey came at just the right time.
"Do you eat meat to keep the numbers down?" OMG Joey, that's gotta be one of your BEST zingers!
Nailed.
It's so refreshing to see someone so open minded ☺️ no defense barrier, open communication, wanting to know more etc.
Instead of just saying 'bacon tho' or 'cheese tho' she's more mature than 90% of adults on this topic. Sad but true 😂
More like 99.9% let's be honest
@@PooPooBanana2 I tried to be generous 😂
@@KC-pz4md hahah we vegans are ;)
@@PooPooBanana2 You and me both 😋

🌱🖖🏼
No excuse for animal abuse.
Great job as always Joey.
What a lovely intelligent lady.😊🌱
She has a good heart clearly.
Great conversation. What a joy to see such a curious and open minded young interviewee. And when she said, "This is wicked" she didn't mean it in the more modern sense, but in the way my mother would have referred to someone's behaviour as wicked. Which, absolutely, is what the animal agriculture industry is.
Yes, and with definitions like, "evil or morally wrong, disgustingly unpleasant, vile, sinful", it's an extremely accurate word to use.
Yes,but she's still not willing to be vegan.
I have my own vegan version of Halva yummers
@@nitai154 I love Halva, yummers indeed😋but Halva is already vegan, no? I used to kind of make my own "loose/flowy" halva, by getting Tahini at the store, and mixing it with honey or maple syrup. Honey of course can be avoided in favor of a sugar source that is more vegan. Actually the bee thing is kind of a trip... all of our plant foods rely on the hard work of the bees... but is it slavery if they do it to themselves? Do they have options??? 🤯anyway... Halva is delicious💖
they are so good !
you missed maa ki daal 😏
Love how many questions she asks and how thoughtful she is, but also how willing she is to say "I don't know much about this, can you explain?". You can tell that she's really listening and opening her mind to a new perspective.
Vegan on a budget:
1. Morning: OATS + fruits (apples, berries or bananas) + dates + CHIA SEEDS
2. Lunch: Vegan burritos (Chickpeas + rice + avocado + any vegetables + cilantro sauce) OR Vegan bolognesa (Soja with tomato sauce) with a SALAD
3. Dinner: Chickpeas salad with fruit and vegetables or BEANS BURGUERS
TIPS:
*Always stick a carrot in your salad to get your vitamin A.
*Always put chia seeds in your morning oats
*CIlantro sauce with cashews, lime juice and dates IS THE BEST SHIT I`VE EVER TRIED!
🤮
And don't get burned on the chia seeds. They don't need to be expensive, but some sellers give them a super-food mark-up. Sometimes you literally only need to check a different shelf in the same shop.
That sauce does sound good. We call 'cilantro' 'coriander' here in the UK.
But meat eaters don't consider the health cost of meat eating when they argue for is vegan cheap...guys what about the fat and cholestrol you get from meat and meat is one among the leading cause of heart diseases
She is a wonderful person, very intelligent and open-minded. It was delightful to witness her reactions. Thanks!
This is such a productive conversation. I hope she reads these comments. She is such a smart open minded young lady, she gives me hope
Wow, this person was refreshingly honest and compassionate
This video was amazing, because for the first time in my life somebody reacts reasonably on the Vegan topic. I've watched thousands of talks and participated in some on the street and facebook, and that is the first human being that has a proper reaction: "I want to know more about what is going on. Why are you Vegan? Show me what is happening. I want to know!" And it talks good for her, but it doesn't talk very good for humanity. I thought that everybody would react this way. But I was wrong! I was wrong about human beings!
Ida showed real interest and empathy and asked good questions.
This is one of my favorite conversations that Joey has had. I love how open she was to receiving new information and hearing his perspective. She asked many great questions, which is an excellent way to learn.
Wow this woman is super open minded and truly listening to Joey. Great conversation 👌
She had excellent well thought out questions. What a delightful human. I hope she goes vegan.
Wow. Such a lovely, smart and compassionate young woman. And so open minded Really nice to listen to. Love the way she went from interviewee to interviewer and Joey didn't even notice... She's the real star here 😃❤️
'if we didn't eat animals we'd be over run'..
joey: 'do you eat animals to keep the numbers down?'
hahah that's such a great comeback.
She is a sweetheart. It almost looked like she was interviewing Joey lol. Great questions and she seemed shocked at some of the things she saw. Hopefully she will go away and make the right choice
She was really nice. I hope she follows through with her reactions and thinks twice next time she's shopping. As always Joey with the reality of animal abuse👍🤘
Thanks for being Joey😁
Ida was lovely and humble. A willingness to learn is really beautiful
Ida is smart and compassionate! ❤️
Roles reversed…she was a great interviewer 💕💕
She was a legend, you should employ her 😂
Always feels good to see someone who's mind and heart are genuinely open and honest
Makes all the hecklers and lost causes worth it
Thanks Joey 💚
She was cool and open minded! More people should be like her...
Joey doing the good work.
A lot of these debates are like a broken record. I watch them all, but I can see how Joey is so quick to respond, he’s had plenty of practice with the same bloody arguments lol. I aspire to be like you Joey ❤️
Edit: I feel like she really cared. I wanna give her a hug 🥺
What a lovely lady. So well spoken, intelligent, compassionate, receptive, open minded and well educated. She was a very much needed breath of fresh air. I hope she will be able to go vegan, too.
Thank you for everything you do Joey, you're amazing, I'm so glad there's people like you in this world. Please keep it up.
Wow, mind blown. Both of these kids were so respectful, honest, intelligent, mature, inquisitive, willing to ask questions and willing to learn.
This woman is amazing I love her so much. I hope she watches this video.
Joey thankyou for opening up peoples eyes 👀 Most people either give it no thought or believe that the animals are killed in a humane slaughterhouse whilst not knowing that nothing humane takes place in those places. 🐇🦆🐓🐄🐖🦐🐟🐑
She is so kind ♥ That was great dabete, Joey!
Joey is such a wealth of knowledge. It's a shame he almost never has the opportunity to share it because 99% of people are close-minded.

This was a really good conversation. I like how many questions she asked and she was so open minded. Great video!
Joey lol I had a dream last night that I met you as well as my family and you helped turn my whole family vegan!

It wasn’t a dream, it was a premonition. They will be vegan soon 🙏
Lol
Are you sure it wasn't a nightmare?
yeah cool, my family is making always making small steps into veganism. in real life :)
Awesome Joey !
I loved her inquisitiveness !
The conversation started with Ida’s naivety and ended with her almost interviewing you ! :)
She also allowed you to explain and inform her of the reality of processes that animals endure throughout their existence.
I don’t remember ever seeing you so relaxed, unhurried and informative.
Can’t wait to see round 2 !
You should definitely catch up with Ida in a few months to see where she’s at ! 👍😊
So good to see someone ask questions and actually WANT to learn. That's so unusual nowadays
this was such a special interview. she had that "ah-ha" moment.
The company "Good Catch" with delicious fish-free tuna, salmon burgers and crab cakes does not "do something bad like all companies do." Even cats are fooled by their tuna.
Ida- so lovely to see such an open minded, kind and caring young person. We need more Ida's in the world.
Never thought the day would come where a civil conversation could be had where they came with an open mind and were eager to learn.
If you could get rid of the militant vegans you would see many more conversations like this
It could not have been better if it was staged. She was so open to learning, it was a pleasure to see a young person like this. Maybe, just maybe there is hope for humanity.
@@x-latetv-x6816 "militant" vegans don't exist- passionate vegans do. And (in my opinion) violent vegans aren't following their own moral standards.
Of course, all vegans have different opinions on what actions need to be taken to achieve animal liberation. I suppose i can't judge another, i don't know what they're feeling.
@@V__Vahaa so confrontational vegans don't exist 😂

I love her! Imagine I wish every conversation we had was with someone this intelligent, with no silly comebacks, just compassion & interest. I feel she is a vegan in the making
what a breath of fresh air. great conversation!
I love this one, Joey! Ida is intelligent, thoughtful, and seems to be a genuinely kind young woman. I would bet tbat if she watches some videos and does a bit of research she will go vegan. Thanks for your work, Joey.
This was the first time I've heard the take that god did not make the farm animals, people did. Watching these real conversations can be quite interesting. And no doubt Ida is a special lady!
Thank you Joey… you have a good heart and your love for animals and to stop their suffering is something that I admire 💗
Respect for the person who engaged her on the subject. I hope she continues #govegan
💜💜💜 she gives me hope
Bravo to Joey for his patience and for calmly answering all of her questions! At multiple points, she expressed genuine shock and curiosity.
7:14 "What do you mean by that?"
8:16 "Should they just go vegan if they don't have anything else to eat?"
8:43 "Why is it, you feel, people wouldn't want to be vegan?

10:39 "I think it''s good to educate people about these things."
11:02 "Would you not recommend just being a raw vegan?"
13:12 "Of course not, because it's Burger King isn't it."
13:41 "And how long have you been spreading this message for?"
15:19: "But I don't know, like, to the extent of, like, what is going down, you know? Do you know? Would you like to explain?"

21:31 "Why are they getting abused?"
22:32 "I don't think a lot of people know this information."
22:43 "What propaganda?"
22:35 "The main topic out of all of this, it's money."
24:04 "How can it be a cheap decision?"

Good one Joey, thnx! ✋🏻
She was born to be in front of a camera. Great conversation.
Beautiful conversation, Joey! Thank you!!
Love how she is interviewing you, and also loving Learning thing's off of you, and very interested in what your saying! Love it. Very well spoken too. xx
Thank you, Joey. The tenderness in this conversation brings so much hope for the vegan 🌱 movement!!!
What a lovely lady. Such a sweetheart. I've met a few people like her during outreach, but it's not super common that people are this curious and open.
Thanks Joey, keep spreading the good word. You're changing and saving so many lives.
Loved this conversation. I see the Interviewer became the one being interviewed. 😊. Well done to you both❤
I could totally see Ida ( hope I’m spelling that right) being an amazing vegan spokesperson someday. She’s clearly going to be great at whatever she does.
Such an eloquent and engaged young woman. She's a natural behind the microphone and a great conversationalist. How awesome would it be if she ends up doing advocacy work one day!
I think this conversation was purely productive and amazing to watch the blossoming bud of her conscious consumerism. If people do not like the marketed vegan cheese one can always make their own. It’s a messy yet fun experience to do so.
God bless you young lady!👏🙏♥️♥️♥️
I live a modest life I am not rich. I live in Ontario Canada which means we have long cold winters with lots of snow and I have been vegan for 10 yrs no problem. I also run a boxing , Muay Thai gym so I am not weak and starving! Being vegan is not hard it’s just different.
That's great. One day it will be "different" to eat corpses and steal milk & eggs from other animals.
hahah this is awesome. i love how she kind of just flipped it and interviewed you
Thank dear Joey for exposing the truth.
All welfare animal laws are just for show. They do nothing to actually help the animals.
why are they banning this practice anyway? to me, it seems like being shot in the head is less painful than being improperly stunned and then have throat slit
She's very smart and honest! Refreshing!
Love her! 😍💖 She has such lovely childlike, innocent reactions!! I miss that so much in most of the people.. 🥺
Love, love, love the way Joey changed the narrative from animals created by the Creator to animals selectively bred by humans to be used as food. Difference is the Creator created free animals with their specific habitats and systems to live on this planet, just like the human animal.
