This is probably the only review I've seen of these LooseCollector figures with this much honesty. Unless the Red Sonja comes out smashing, I don't think I'll care about a single one of their products they make including The Rocketeer & Betty or Mr. Hyde. There are better figures to get my "adult content" figures like this elsewhere.
Fwoosh just put up the review for Red Sonja. It doesn't look like it warrants a $75 price point to me, but looks decent enough for hardcore fanboys to have at it.

Thx for the honesty, AN! I can’t speak for others, but my Lady Death figure has the same balance issue when she’s wearing her cape. She’s beautifully done, but I usually display her without the cape.
Thank you so much for your honesty, dude. I'm like you, I don't want posing my figures to be work. The uneven heels alone would kill it for me; I just got the SHF Yor Forger, and her curved heels make her such a pain to pose in a dynamic way without a stand that I may as well have gotten a statue. And this thing with its wings is even worse, because you *should* be able to do dynamic poses and just have the wings on looking cool, rather than be a hindrance or required aid. How many characters with wings have them constantly touching the ground? It just looks awkward. It would've been so easy for you to use the wings to stand her or use a flight stand, and do crazy photoshop to make her look cool to show off and all. Respect for not only bringing up the issue, but going in-depth about it and making it clear how important it is. Really appreciate how you do your reviews, man.
I’ve got both Lady Death and Hellwitch and Lady Death is even harder to pose. She looks great but they need to change those boots. Make them one solid piece or something. LD’s hair is super heavy and through a off her balance even without putting her cape on

I really appreciate the head's up on this. I hate struggling to stand a figure, it drives me mad and I usually end up relegating them to the back of the shelf so at least they can lean against the back of a cabinet. That just isn't how I want to display them and ruins the fun. Also that figure looks far too good to be a rear of shelf toy. Such a shame.
She's got wings, so you could pose her flying. Use temporary bathroom wall-hooks high up on the wall, or on the bottom of a shelf, or even on the ceiling. Hang the thinnest, clear fishing line you can find, and loop it under her wings or arms.
I have taarna, hellwitch and lady death. and hellwitch is definitely the biggest headache of the 3. Pretty much exactly as you described. Super stiff joints to where I broke it during pose. The other 2 are amazing. I don't think you will be disappointed with them.
It's always fun to see reviewers blatantly omit these flaws. I saw a LOT of MOTU Revelation reviewers doing that. I have this figure and love it but I have the same issue. I just have her laying down topless next to a nude Marvel Legends Weapon X with the Cowboy hat Logan head.
LooseCollectors figures are gorgeous so she is still a want for me. I might try and file the bottoms flat see if that helps. If not probably I'll stick her on a flight stand and admire her like that.

It's have the same Issue as the retro Carder Scarlet Witch from marvel legends where they want you to use the Cape to keep her standing, it's annoying when the caracter that you want (men or female) have issues to stand up...damn
Poseable Action Figure Stand required. I have Purgatori on pre-order, and was fully expecting her to be difficult to pose without a stand. Winged figures almost always are.

See, I bought that Witcher 3 horse based on your video, and in that video, you had that thing in all kinds of dynamic poses and whatnot. now. with *MY* Roach, I can barely keep it standing at all. I legit blow on it whenever I get it sort of standing, and half the time, that bastard will just topple over from my breath alone. the only way I keep it standing for more than a few minutes has it in an unnatural pose, and ain't NO way I could have it in an action pose. Todd couldn't put a damn peg hole in Roach's hooves?! So now THIS video got me thinking that either my Roach is just like, cursed or some shit, or I just kinda suck at posing, and that HellWitch figure is less stable than fucking crypto markets. I got that Red Sonja on pre-order though, and at least she seems like she's not in high heels. Besides; I'm probably gonna blue tack her so she's sitting on the shoulders of that monster Hyde figure (also on preorder), cuz I'm gonna kitbash that dude to look like savage He-Man from the revelations cartoon. Oh, and one more thing about that HellWitch figure: she's nicely sculpted, but her wings are weird. those "fingers" on her wings are supposed to all come together at a "wrist." and it doesn't look like they did it that way.

There is one LooseCollector figure I will have. Maybe two if I can. Oh, wait. Before I get into this. TY for the Valafair reminder. Loving Pandora right now...HEY was that a Pandora with more tattoos hints?? I would so get that. Now as for loose Collectors...I have a Vamperilla preorder. The super sexy alien Vampire. And I will be doing shots with her and Serpentor. Oh, the ideas I have. So the other would be Red Sonja. I love both characters and still read their comics. But Vampy comes first.
Great honest review. I learned about Loose Collector figs from the FWOOSH. I'm thinking about getting the Rocketerr/Betty Page set. I'm hoping Loose Collector will take this positive criticism and improve their product. The customer is always right. I want to be able to buy these figs and not have these issues.
Loved the Transparency in this video I’ve been holding out on buying this figure due to the price and not knowing the quality of the line. Good to know the quality is there a side from this major design flaw appreciate this video 100% cheers brotha
The wings " on these figs on gargoyles on mythic legions none of them thought about the weight of said wings change the plastic in the wings that's all they gotta do
Thanks for writing an honest review, it's hard now a days to criticize because the community is so tight knit. This is how I feel about Mythic Legion wings lol. I bought 2 vaargs specifically for the wings and they have been nothing but frustrating. I saw at least 4 reviews before buying him and no one mentioned that its basically impossible to peg them in and have any kind of fun with the wings pegged on. Thats the one thing I love about venom from the 2 pack. While its not the best, at least his wings stay pegged on and you can have fun playing with the figure, even my 6 byear old plays with it with the wings on no problem.
A good and honest review. The Taarna from Heavy Metal, had problems also because it didn't look like the promotional pictures. At $90-100+ that is a lot for issues like that.
I have almost all of the figures that LooseCollector has put out so far, and depending on the character, you may or may not be able to get it to stand/balance independently. I buy LooseCollector figures for the characters, paint deco, and the sculpts, so I have zero complaints about them at all. Pretty much every female action figure that I own regardless of whether it's a Marvel Legends, Gijoe Classifieds, MOTU or Tbleague, if they are wearing some sort of heels or uneven shoe they typically will have issues standing independently and will eventually take a shelf dive. It just is what it is 🤷♂️ but in my opinion I don't know that it's possible to faithfully recreate the illustrated look and extreme costume of these characters and not expect some trade-offs. I hope that Hellwitch gets to join the ranks of the other Thiccciesss because it really is a unique and exotic figure 👍
Yea she will def. Join the ranks of the thickies she looks amazing but I have tons of females with heels and this one by far is the hardest to balance. I mentioned in the video as well I expect heels to be annoying but this took it to a whole new level. 😂 Hopefully the others won't have the issue as bad.
This almost made me cancel my Red Sonja preorder, but she doesn't have wings so I'm hoping those godawful heels will be manageable. Just my opinion but if a company can't make a figure in heels stand well then they should omit the heels. I don't care what the source material is. The most basic action figure functionality is to be able to stand up, that's so obvious it feels stupid saying it. If your figure cannot reliably stand up as designed that is a design flaw. Either redesign the heel or remove it. Don't mean to sound super negative, it's a nice figure, I'm excited for my Red Sonja. I just hate spending good money on a figure that struggles to stand upright in basic poses whether its a Marvel Legend or a more expensive premium figure like these.
Great review! For the price of this line of figures that issue should be already solved. I loved the looks of their Red Sonja and the entire line in general, but I didn't want to pay more than I paid for the Xesray girls, that are way better female figures and even the space between the articulation is far much better. I do want to see what's next for this brand, but I won't have high expectations.
I agree! Them Xesray girls are going to be hard to beat out . I hope this dynamite trio outshines their previous releases because they look so damn nice
I got this one because im a fan of the comics. I dont have her with the wings on because she takes too much space. But i agree with you, for an almost 100 dollars figure she has some let downs. But she looks amazing on display. Also i dont have that much trouble standing her up. And a piece of advice: always heat up the joints for these figures, i broke my lady death figure trying to remove the cape, the good thing is i ordered her directly from coffin comics and they sent me a new figure for free. I hope to see more reviews of this line and thanks for the honest review and not censoring any accesories, people should get to see what they are buying and im glad you do it this way.
Oh I wanted to jump in here the day of Valafest and wish you the best on the live show. If they make a figure of you I'm buying it. Promise!!! ball Cap and ninja mask ....like the custom you use.
I know this method might not be ideal to some collectors but I've bought tiny magnets and drilled small holes or expand the holes under the shoes and have them stand on metal platings. I'm not a mint collector or a resale guy so this method has been best for me
I had the same issue with their Lady Death falling over. I had to buy a figure stand that is similar to the old-school doll stands to get her to stand. Great figure otherwise, but definitely doesn’t like to stay upright
I love this figure. I bought a neca flight stand and that’s how I posed her. I was always gonna pose her like she’s in flight mode so that why I bought the flight stand with her.
I sold my Taarna since I couldn’t have her stood on her own two feet, the legs were super loose and the just like this one, her feet weren’t flat - Paint apps weren’t amazing either - I love these characters but damn, they need to step up their game in the production process or something :/
Good video and I agree with you.this us one if my "Not Favorites" figures, thought I really like the Character, definetly COULD have been better & most likely sell her off. Anyhoo,the upcoming Vampi,Sonja & Purgatori look better and a few aspects that were updated from the Preproduction stills,that make them look so much better and Cannot Wait to get those 🤘

I bought 2 and might buy more. That's completely common with winged figures. I don't blame the company. Action stands needed. Build up heels with melted plastic or file flat. With breasts, I can overlook balance.
@@ArticulatedNinja you might need to do a revision video. i just opened one of mine and it stands with wings up. feet are flat. you caught a bad one and they may have fixed it later. they are actually upgrading their figure before release. Purgatori is getting an extra bangs hairstyle. so i take a picture and send it where, for $5?
I put the red cape that came with she-ra on hellwitch and I put the blue cape that came with frosta on lady death, I just wanted to try something different.
100$ ? ouch man. i paid 50$ when i pre ordered. i dont pose mine much i put it on a shelf with the wings up and it stands fine. only ever put it in one other pose and it stood ok. the heels on mine are not as bad as the one you got. i got two lady deaths and the QC is hit or miss one of my lady death figures is perfect..the other....woof. yeah if your a person who likes to mess with the figures alot....its not gonna be fun. I imagine purgatory will be the same since she has wings too.
I found this stuff on Amazon called museum wax(I think) and it works pretty damn well for keeping my Predator figures from falling over. Hope that helps man!

Your work around makes it 100 times better but I'm sorry that you had to go to that length in order to enjoy it more, but what if you would of just filed/sanded the original feet level?
I have her and Lady Death, gorgeous figures. Even with a flat stand, her wings start to make her ankles weak. She also needs a strong flight stand. Otherwise, shelf dive. She is posed with no wings and behind DP ready to cut his neck.

Just need to losen it up a bit. 👍🏻 Same with Lady Deadpools' thigh swivel as well. They jusg need to move a bit more & good to roll. 👍🏻

I appreciate your honest take on this one. I’ve gone back and forth on a couple of their figures, and it’s the price and some of the articulation cuts (especially that mid-thigh cut) that throw me. As for the feet, how about just sanding the bottoms of her shoes so that the toes and heel sit flat at the same time? Do you think that would still look ok? Anyway, I dig your attitude and opinions. Keep up the great work!

Thank you for your review and thoughts. Always enjoy your videos. Personally haven't had any problems posing her with the wings up. Mine is currently posed on one leg, wings and arms spread out on my window sill. That could just be my figure though. I'm sure at some point the wind, earthquake, or semi-truck driving by will knock her over. My gripe with the figure is wanting more flexible hair. Would like for her to be able to look up more. An angry battle face would have been nice to have as well.

This is why I make my own stands using Plastic Lids and Play-Doh! The feet sink a bit giving my figure a more solid base. I got her!

A lil hot glue goes a long way

Besides; I'm probably gonna blue tack her so she's sitting on the shoulders of that monster Hyde figure (also on preorder), cuz I'm gonna kitbash that dude to look like savage He-Man from the revelations cartoon.
Oh, and one more thing about that HellWitch figure: she's nicely sculpted, but her wings are weird. those "fingers" on her wings are supposed to all come together at a "wrist." and it doesn't look like they did it that way.

I know loose collector said they made improvements after lady death from criticism they hear. Hopefully it’s the same with future releases.
Winged figures have always been troublesome to stand. Just look at the gargoyles. She is a beauty though.

Loving Pandora right now...HEY was that a Pandora with more tattoos hints?? I would so get that. Now as for loose Collectors...I have a Vamperilla preorder. The super sexy alien Vampire. And I will be doing shots with her and Serpentor. Oh, the ideas I have. So the other would be Red Sonja. I love both characters and still read their comics. But Vampy comes first.

Great honest review. I learned about Loose Collector figs from the FWOOSH. I'm thinking about getting the Rocketerr/Betty Page set.
I'm hoping Loose Collector will take this positive criticism and improve their product. The customer is always right. I want to be able to buy these figs and not have these issues.

Thanks for writing an honest review, it's hard now a days to criticize because the community is so tight knit. This is how I feel about Mythic Legion wings lol. I bought 2 vaargs specifically for the wings and they have been nothing but frustrating. I saw at least 4 reviews before buying him and no one mentioned that its basically impossible to peg them in and have any kind of fun with the wings pegged on.
Thats the one thing I love about venom from the 2 pack. While its not the best, at least his wings stay pegged on and you can have fun playing with the figure, even my 6 byear old plays with it with the wings on no problem.
I did the leg replacement, but with Magik shins and retro Black Widow feet. Gave this figure a whole new life

The Taarna from Heavy Metal, had problems also because it didn't look like the promotional pictures. At $90-100+ that is a lot for issues like that.
I have almost all of the figures that LooseCollector has put out so far, and depending on the character, you may or may not be able to get it to stand/balance independently. I buy LooseCollector figures for the characters, paint deco, and the sculpts, so I have zero complaints about them at all. Pretty much every female action figure that I own regardless of whether it's a Marvel Legends, Gijoe Classifieds, MOTU or Tbleague, if they are wearing some sort of heels or uneven shoe they typically will have issues standing independently and will eventually take a shelf dive. It just is what it is 🤷♂️ but in my opinion I don't know that it's possible to faithfully recreate the illustrated look and extreme costume of these characters and not expect some trade-offs. I hope that Hellwitch gets to join the ranks of the other Thiccciesss because it really is a unique and exotic figure 👍
Yea she will def. Join the ranks of the thickies she looks amazing but I have tons of females with heels and this one by far is the hardest to balance. I mentioned in the video as well I expect heels to be annoying but this took it to a whole new level. 😂 Hopefully the others won't have the issue as bad.

That good yes I know most collectors don't modify much though I wish we all did though it's great to do.
This almost made me cancel my Red Sonja preorder, but she doesn't have wings so I'm hoping those godawful heels will be manageable.
Just my opinion but if a company can't make a figure in heels stand well then they should omit the heels. I don't care what the source material is. The most basic action figure functionality is to be able to stand up, that's so obvious it feels stupid saying it. If your figure cannot reliably stand up as designed that is a design flaw. Either redesign the heel or remove it.
Don't mean to sound super negative, it's a nice figure, I'm excited for my Red Sonja. I just hate spending good money on a figure that struggles to stand upright in basic poses whether its a Marvel Legend or a more expensive premium figure like these.

For the price of this line of figures that issue should be already solved. I loved the looks of their Red Sonja and the entire line in general, but I didn't want to pay more than I paid for the Xesray girls, that are way better female figures and even the space between the articulation is far much better.
I do want to see what's next for this brand, but I won't have high expectations.
I agree! Them Xesray girls are going to be hard to beat out . I hope this dynamite trio outshines their previous releases because they look so damn nice
I got this one because im a fan of the comics. I dont have her with the wings on because she takes too much space. But i agree with you, for an almost 100 dollars figure she has some let downs. But she looks amazing on display. Also i dont have that much trouble standing her up. And a piece of advice: always heat up the joints for these figures, i broke my lady death figure trying to remove the cape, the good thing is i ordered her directly from coffin comics and they sent me a new figure for free. I hope to see more reviews of this line and thanks for the honest review and not censoring any accesories, people should get to see what they are buying and im glad you do it this way.

I know this method might not be ideal to some collectors but I've bought tiny magnets and drilled small holes or expand the holes under the shoes and have them stand on metal platings. I'm not a mint collector or a resale guy so this method has been best for me

You could take a small amount of Milliput and build up the heel then paint it.

I think when I unpack mine, I'll go the route of resculpting the heel and paint it black, maybe give it a bit more surface.

I had the same issue with their Lady Death falling over. I had to buy a figure stand that is similar to the old-school doll stands to get her to stand. Great figure otherwise, but definitely doesn’t like to stay upright

I love this figure. I bought a neca flight stand and that’s how I posed her. I was always gonna pose her like she’s in flight mode so that why I bought the flight stand with her.

I sold my Taarna since I couldn’t have her stood on her own two feet, the legs were super loose and the just like this one, her feet weren’t flat - Paint apps weren’t amazing either - I love these characters but damn, they need to step up their game in the production process or something :/
Good video and I agree with you.this us one if my "Not Favorites" figures, thought I really like the Character, definetly COULD have been better & most likely sell her off. Anyhoo,the upcoming Vampi,Sonja & Purgatori look better and a few aspects that were updated from the Preproduction stills,that make them look so much better and Cannot Wait to get those 🤘

I bought 2 and might buy more. That's completely common with winged figures. I don't blame the company. Action stands needed. Build up heels with melted plastic or file flat. With breasts, I can overlook balance.

@@ArticulatedNinja you might need to do a revision video. i just opened one of mine and it stands with wings up. feet are flat. you caught a bad one and they may have fixed it later. they are actually upgrading their figure before release. Purgatori is getting an extra bangs hairstyle. so i take a picture and send it where, for $5?
I put the red cape that came with she-ra on hellwitch and I put the blue cape that came with frosta on lady death, I just wanted to try something different.
100$ ? ouch man. i paid 50$ when i pre ordered. i dont pose mine much i put it on a shelf with the wings up and it stands fine. only ever put it in one other pose and it stood ok. the heels on mine are not as bad as the one you got. i got two lady deaths and the QC is hit or miss one of my lady death figures is perfect..the other....woof. yeah if your a person who likes to mess with the figures alot....its not gonna be fun. I imagine purgatory will be the same since she has wings too.
I found this stuff on Amazon called museum wax(I think) and it works pretty damn well for keeping my Predator figures from falling over. Hope that helps man!

I have her and Lady Death, gorgeous figures. Even with a flat stand, her wings start to make her ankles weak. She also needs a strong flight stand. Otherwise, shelf dive. She is posed with no wings and behind DP ready to cut his neck.

@@ArticulatedNinja 🦖: I did manage to un-stick a lot of my Predator by the way, although a little stress was there & very visible if you go to look for it. His thigh swivels are still kinda tight. Just need to losen it up a bit. 👍🏻 Same with Lady Deadpools' thigh swivel as well. They jusg need to move a bit more & good to roll. 👍🏻

I appreciate your honest take on this one. I’ve gone back and forth on a couple of their figures, and it’s the price and some of the articulation cuts (especially that mid-thigh cut) that throw me. As for the feet, how about just sanding the bottoms of her shoes so that the toes and heel sit flat at the same time? Do you think that would still look ok? Anyway, I dig your attitude and opinions. Thank you for your review and thoughts. Always enjoy your videos. Personally haven't had any problems posing her with the wings up. Mine is currently posed on one leg, wings and arms spread out on my window sill. That could just be my figure though. I'm sure at some point the wind, earthquake, or semi-truck driving by will knock her over. My gripe with the figure is wanting more flexible hair. Would like for her to be able to look up more. An angry battle face would have been nice to have as well.
nice review been looking around for a good review of this line now i know what im getting planing to get their lady death and red sonja they are a bit pricey though but will see maybe the others dont have that issue (finger Crossed ) 😅
