These Kids’ Lives Were Transformed by Plastic Surgery

- Baby Sloan was born with a non-cancerous tumor that was affecting her nerves and facial muscles. Her parents sought the help of a vascular surgeon to treat their little girl. In a series of procedures, Dr. Milton Waner removed the tumor. Dr. Waner also treated a little boy named Murphy who was born with a venous malformation on his lip. The procedure to remove the formation took two hours, and at the end of it, the doctor was able to report to Murphy’s parents, “Everything went perfect.” #InsideEdition
It’s a shame kids have to go through extreme bullying over something they can’t control.
k
I saw a classmate who was bully because she was left handed. , She also can't move her hands properly. , The girl bully her call her dirty and disgusting. I was so upset that I told them to shut up. I hope she is doing well.and the bully us doing fine
@@kishorelaishram3784 I’m also left handed, but I’m sorry for what she has been going through. I hope she is okay now. I’m glad you spoke up about it :).
I cant control myself because of my voice. I dont get bullied. But for all the other kids who get bullied.
Build your esteem and try to ignore them Just listen to good quotes and then shed your tears. Soon enough you’ll be confident :D
You know it’s the school system letting these people down. I wish it was different.
“I just don’t wanna be made fun of” that killed me it’s honestly so sad to see someone so young say that
I know right
fr 🥺🙁
Same I almost cried
Kinda
Ikr its sad :(
I didn’t want that cutie with the ears to get surgery, he’s so adorable ! But that smile when he saw his ears 🥺 warmed my heart! Let’s raise better kids that accept other people and their unique looks rather than bully them into surgery or depression.
SAME!!
He’s so cute he reminded me of Tahj Mowry as a kid!
He had to because people were bulling him
Some respect for the adorable elf boy
Amen
I was in the same position as the kid with "elf" ears at one point. The bullying was horrible, I got called a monkey, Dumbo, etc. The surgery I had was life changing to say the least. Happy for Gage, he looks infinitely happier now ❤️
If we were the same age (assuming we aren’t) and I met you as a kid, I would’ve thought you were so cool and wanted to play with you. Im so sorry you had to go through that 🙁🫶🏼
@@MasonMc7 it just goes to show that people really shouldn't judge others by what they look like. i'm alright now, very happy with life, and the people who were calling me names probably aren't as happy with themselves at this point.
@@cryptic_Data Thats good to know! I grew up through Elementary school being bullied, and knew what it was like, so I never wanted to see anyone get hurt or feel sad, so even as a child I didn’t like being mean to my bully’s and ignored them (in Elementary the two girls who did, only really hit me and shoved me, along with laughed at me. But not much insults. In Middle School it was only insults and talking behind my back close to me) so genuinely if I seen you getting bullied as a kid I’d stick up for you and wanted to be your friend. Also my dad has told me to not let bully’s get to me, and be a nice person because you’ll get through like successfully and the bully’s wouldn’t have a good life. Although thats not there for everyone
He's the edorpull I can't stop looking so cute
Same I had my ears pinned back when I was 14 back in 1994..i had ears similar to this little boy..i was teased alot but It didn't bother me until I reached high school age. x
My mom taught me at an early age of the importance of not making fun of others. That had a profound impact on me. I just wish that was instilled into other kids at a young age. Parents play a major role in how their kids treat others.
Same and when i see people getting made fun of i cry like a baby inside its so sad and thej i go and defend them😊😔
That's nice😁
Ditto.
Yes no matter what u think in ur head about someone who doesn’t look like u keep it to urself never know how words may bother someone, it could crush them and be the thing that pushes them over the edge or it wouldn’t bother them at all you never know
Same here. I’m so thankful that my family was strict on me with the way I treated others.

I was born with a Hemangioma and had it removed. So happy to see these beautiful children thrive after surgery.
The kid that looked like an “elf” was actually really cute! His ears before were very unique. Just because people look different doesn’t usually mean they have a bad personality.
I have always wanted elf ears
I want his ears..
True that.
There's people saying they want his ears. I have similar ears and it's very annoying having to hear about it your entire life, mainly everyday in your childhood. Easy to say when you don't have have deal with the annoying daily comments that come with it.

The little boy who “looked like a elf” was adorable, he was so cute with his little ears and cute after. his tiny little smile is so heartwarming.
Aw, adorable little Gage brought tears to my eyes with his, "Oh my gosh!!" and huge smile of joy when he saw his new ears.

Bless these families for sharing their stories. The children in classrooms everywhere should see these heroes, what they have to go through. For the young man with the ears...Clark Gable had similar and he was a handsome movie heartthrob. He did have the surgery but it didn't change how popular he was.
I had the same facial tumor as Sloan. I never got surgery and I’m just now dealing with it as an adult. It messed up my jaw bone. I also live in Montana. So intense for me to see this and the trauma that I’ve experienced in my life because I look different.

4:36 I feel bad for that kid his parents taking him to get surgery meant he probably thinks you have to change yourself to be the best when in reality your already a good person
The boy already felt down so his parents wanted to do something so that he would have a lot of self esteem
I agree. His dad missed a good opportunity to teach him that he has the same ears and lived a perfectly fine life. I get wanting to help your kid feel better about themselves, but if it's not harming their quality of life, I'd personally choose not to get surgery for them.
I can imagine how rewarding this is for the Doctors and surgeon's who have changed lives and brought new hope and happiness to these kids and their families. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

😢 people need to teach their kids to stop bullying!
I never had any major insecurities until I was 10 and a girl in my class said: “I could land a plane on that forehead” that statement crushed me and as everyone laughed, I just stood there silently trying not to cry. Now I’m super insecure and don’t like photos. I wish people would think before they spoke sometimes. Small comments like that can change someone’s opinion of themselves instantly.
That’s why I want to be a sergeant when I grow up to help all of the kids you just saw 😔
Go for it

Seriously I love the boys ears why can't somebody teach him he's perfect just the way he is
He was perfect but he probably would want to change it later in life not definitely even if he wasn’t bullied
@M a r t true
Because that's a stupid generic feel good saying?
Yeah, no.
You don't have to teach HIM anything - you don't even understand that this happens because of OTHER children not having been taught much about kindness and acceptance...and furthermore, why not getting surgery to change something once and for all, instead of having to go through the same kind of confrontation over and over again? This has nothing to do with giving in to bullies - only perfect looking millenials came up with this nonsense - but sometimes, even the one who gets bullied doesn't like his/her appearance!
So what? Acceptance goes both ways - it can also mean accepting someone's decision to get surgery!
That last story, the surgeon did the surgery without charge, what a kind person.

The boy's reaction was adorable when he checked out his new ears.
Ooh Lord, I feel for these people! My second son was born at 35 weeks and while in labour, I was terrified of what was going to happen to the baby, he was 6 and a half pounds at birth and had to stay in the neonatal unit as he became jaundiced and needed the lamps. You feel so scared for your baby and you aren't in control of anything which is doubly frightening. The babies in at the same time had some serious problems and hearing their alarms go off was heartbreaking. I think about people going through this all the time, I was so lucky but some aren't and this is a heartwarming video about success stories, I hope they're all well. Oh no the wee boy with the elf ears, what a beautiful child, children can be so cruel! Simo(don't know how to spell it) is adorable and God Bless that surgeon for doing it for him!

Thnkx to the DOCTORS that make such a wonderful difference in these kind of situations. They change and transform for the best a human’s life.
If only people wouldn’t bully these kids in the first place so they wouldn’t have to get plastic surgery
Sometimes plastic surgery is for the better
Ex. A collapsed nose bridge, fixing it can help the person breathe better
m1key - You say that like a child wouldn’t be uncomfortable anyway.
Most of these facial problems can cause more serious issues as the kid gets older. The large lip can continue to grow and affect speech and eating, if it hadn't already. The facial tumor could eventually affect her eye sight, speech, eating, breathing, etc. Facial clefts can cause issues in breathing, eating, speech, eye sight, etc. Just because it's called plastic surgery doesn't mean there isn't a medical reason behind the procedure.
