I grew up in Hogan's era, and I see what you mean. But I think Cody feels like a more rounded John Cena. Like Cena he appeals to a younger audience. But unlike Cena his appeal is a bit broader beyond kids. Adults like him too. He's also a legit good guy like Cena.
