The YAQI one is very hard to place the blade correctly compared to the Leaf Twig. It drives me crazy during my daily shaves. Because I used to clean it thoroughly after each shave, but considering the price, it's OK.

I told Adam a few months ago his product is one of the only ones I like to recommend - because it works for NEARLY ANYONE that shaves. What is the best half blade razor financially .how do u view yaqi when compared with leaf and parker half razor blades financially.but i personaly feel straight razors r best for any purpose but they r good in the barbers hand and personaly feel it cant be on onself becoz possibility of cutting yourself .hve u something very best for pubic and underarm hairs? Pls let me know?

Subie…..Nice comparison of these two SE razors. I do have the Yaqi Katana razor. I find it somewhat aggressive if you put two 1/2 DE blades into the head. I ordered the head by itself and a 70mm handle. I really like the combination.
Yeah it's got more feedback forsure. That's why I said it's a good 7 and the Thorns about a 5-6. The blade feel on the Katana also is DRASTICALLY hindered by the fact that it can EASILY be misaligned. You saw how cautious I was loading mine. I take like an extra 2 minuets just to make sure I have it lined up every time I use it. 70mm handle would be nice!! I'm a fan of the Henson 4inch haha
oh no you didnt! haha i was waiting for this since we last chatted good shit bro! my favorite brush is still the omega pro. and that fridge and shampoo trick works like a charm. i need super efficient and smooth dont care about aggressiveness. the katana is banging i got the gun metal with the katana handle and it looks awesome. it usually only shifts if you leave the bent ends on i clip them and i no longer have issues with shifting. i guess is a personal thing and practice i have no fussing with the katana myself tho will have to try the ejector blade. have you double stacked in the katana?
Dude I need to start clipping more often. I tried that half a dozens times and still get slight movement. I've just not had good luck loading it haha I did this for ya - I was like my buddy has wanted this match up for a minute!! 👍👍
@@SubieShaves no i was having the same issue with the katana i almost threw it across the room till i clipped the ends my trick is i hold the head slightly tiled upwards so gravity holds the blade in place and put the top cap on and depending on the razor and marking u can see through the lather slit if its positioned correctly or not. as things are now it takes me a bit linger to load a gem blade then the katana. i will get a thorn using ur code but they are out of the prism and so ill have to wait. on the other hand have you tried the Razorock lupo? that things is smooth as hell only thing is the handle i bought is too light. do u know if they sell the henson razor handle separately cuz i usually buy west coast shaving handles.
I thought I was pretty clear. I personally prefer the Thorn. While slightly more money, it's so much easier to load, shaves with 0 effort, and really doesn't require you to know how to use a DE angle.

@@cod4787 for me - they are both absolutely amazing. Tough question. The Thorn for me was easy to figure out - but the Henson is never going to fail. If your dead set on a DE, do the Henson, if you want to experience the SE life - go Thorn. I probably would go with the Thorn as it tends to feel like I do less clean up when I use it. I also really like the twist to open factor. Good luck my friend!

I think I'll treat myself to the thorn.
I use cheap disposables at the minute ha.
Hair grows back so fast. And never really feels totally smooth.
Can't go wrong with the Thorn to be honest! Still one of my all time favorites to use day to day!

the thorn is a much better design than SoloEdge, blade loading is even worst than the katana.
