A few more points I would like to add: 1. Not being able to maximise farm - esp for assassins, mm and xp laners, being farmed means you can snowball and control more resources on the map. 2. Creating unfair advantage - a lot of junglers I have met are stagnant and are unwilling to invade enemy jungle even when they are so strong early game. They always go back to their part of the jungle. Also if junglers can take the turret gold (without taking the lane creeps of course), go for it. 3. Willing to give up on turtles - For the first 2 turtles if you are 2v3 or 2v4 around the pit, just give up the turtle. Go back to farm and try and gank the other lanes. 4. Wasting skills on creeps not on heroes - for xp laners and mm, I often wait for my counterpart to overextend/ use their skills, then I bring their HP down with skills. This way they are forced to play passive which they might miss some creeps and lose the ability to gank.
Skills help you get creeps faster, with out it you cannot help team fights faster, instead let ur whole team die, plus. The cd is fast and you can wait for the time you get there and already available

I ironically made mini map as big as possible and made it a bit transparent. Unironically it helped me notice little changes in the map more easily lol. Last thing what really annoyed me was kill feed so I moved it from the middle to corner.
I really do have those kind of teammates that keep on jumping into a 1v4/5 and would try to get a maniac or savage but ended up dying. Depending on my hero and the number of enemies I would have to decide whether I should jump into the teamfight or not. But still, props to Nico for giving us such a wonderful video
When people get Maniac, they get greeedy and want Savage, u jump in the turret and yeah, congrats, your savage.. BUT SERIOUSLY THAT 72.3 SECONDS IS TOO LONG. Please, if you have turret dive hero, please use it for the Savages
Bro looking at the minimap every so often cannot be overstated, as a tank user I can immediately respond to enemy setups and ganks and completely ruin it by just being there, as a side laner I know when to push and when to hug tower or take creeps as well as help in objectives, as a mid I know when to be at right place at the right time. By practising looking at the minimap everytime and watching at spawn timers of turtle/lord, wave state and missing enemies, I basically have a map hax. It made me jump from epic to mythic real quick. It's the most basic advice i give to my friends who are hardstuck.
As a roamer and tank, what i can says that if i ping "retreat" on your lane, please retreat. The amount of time i keep having a probally deaf or map blind teammate making me looks bad a tank.
Like u said in your mistake 3 when your a tank just stick with someone whos not an idiot, this very important since I once i was playing dyroth and my whole team wasnt doing very well especially our miya, our franco who tried to help her as much as possible just gave on her and came to help me, turns out we didnt need a late game miya since me and franco killed the whole enemy team. As a tank u have a lot of cc which can help a lot with any kind of team es pecially if u pick them of 1 by 1.(we won btw)
I remember a match where I was the roamer. I did my best to tank the damage costing me & the exp laner’s life, but our team was able to finish off the remaining enemies. However, they had a few seconds to respawn. Fortunately our mm, mage, & jungler were alive so we could easily end the game within those few seconds. Instead of our mage joining our jungler & mm to end the game, they decided to recall back to base to defend when the enemy minions weren’t even enough to take out our base. Unfortunately we lost 😑. Please when you have enough minions to end, end the game; if no minions, attack the lord & don’t engage in useless fights till the lord is nearly close to enemy base.
This is by far one of the more fair and accurate videos. Good content. Players who don’t overcome these will never improve. Just like everyone who says epic hell. I think epic is fairly easy to climb out of. Just my opinion.
Honestly there are a few things that can make or break the game First is Map Awareness. Be aware of a possible ambush, a teamfight, a possible time to push so on and so forth. Second is Experience. How experience are you, can you counter the enemy. Third is a 1 vs 1. No matter how experience you are, there are some matches you just can’t win. For example, Chou Vs Uranus. You can’t win unless you srsly get lucky and kick him back or you flicker ult ( highly doubt this will happen and Uranus builds tank so even if you kick it’s almost impossible to kill Fourth is Gold Lead. Are you ahead in Gold, are you losing in Gold, how many deaths have you had Fifth and finally, the outplay. Can you outplay your opponent? This is one of the most important, cuz if you can’t don’t even think about it. This happens to way too many people, thinking they can easily get a kill and they die instead. Overall there is no clear way of being good in ML, but if you have the objectives, the communication, the proper experience, the way of 1 vs 1 and teamfights, then you will achieve victory more and more

I remember doing a 8 0 23 with khufra, and Alice wich died 12 times said i am a bad tank because i didn't die once...she also said stuff like:"yall cowards" while the guy was under 4000 gold hahahah, but remember, it's not your teammates fault, it's your if you play tank, a role wich can't carry :)
I feel like the most important part is TO LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES. One of my IRL friends who isn't exactly the best at the game always gets mad whenever I slowly run over every major mistake that the 2 of us made throughout the match
If you don't want the enemy to have any gold/exp try this in your lane: When the wave start, push the enemy away from your minions and make sure you last hit every enemy minions (not freezing the lane), making you lose 2 minions and having all the gold from the enemy minions. It's effective if you only want the gold and to not push. Also don't do this under 5mins because you have no minions for destroying the gold shield from turret.
The only problem for solo players like me is teammates. In Philippine server, as a solo player, I always encounter my most teammates are quite childish while my enemies are so good. 💀

Got brutally humiliated in less then 10 minutes lol, but still it was a thrill! :D Btw, I’m an extremely clumsy gamer (and way too old to became a good one), started playing MLBB about six months ago and managed to rank to legend without previous gaming experience, mostly thanks to my patient boyfriend and to your videos. I agree with all these. Blaming your teammates for your own mistakes is a big one, because you don’t get better that way. Team feeding? Just farm quietly and safely until you have your items, then use your headless teammates as bait.

The last tip is exactly where my team lost the game ( the troll was a tank hylos) he build hp items then get ripped to pieces by a marksmen, kid had a meltdown asking how when he has high/full hp, I let the guy on the secret, the marksman had DHS then HE told me to STFU😒😑 For content the marksman was Popol and Kupa, and I was in legend or epic at that time this happened
What I hate is when my teammates always ''help me out'' in the jungle they basically just steal my gold and sometimes my buff without retri. One match, when my allies ''help me out'' on jungle i told them to retreat but after five mins they finally retreat but at that time I farm minions not creeps anymore.

nice video, I do all of these just wanted to see if I missed fee things or not but nope I agree with all of them, they are very important. Also at one point micro stops mattering as much as macro. Specially in mythic lobby it's better to take counters than a hero you are seasoned in. Provided you have all the map awareness and thr ability to position yourself. Nice guide it was fun to watch.
In almost 10000 tank matches I learned many things. 2 biggest advices I could give are 1. Watch map more than you think is enough. 2. Know your role!!!
As a tank main, if a game is intense i die 8 times per average. If its smooth, i die 2-3 times when team is okay in their map awareness and role knowledge.
The most annoying thing that happened in rank I think everyone can relate too when the enemies are dead and has 10 seconds to respwawn ur trying to destroy the base while ur team is spamming recall and emotes and the enemies respwawn and u get wiped out and lose the match and the base has low hp

_Missed opportunity to title this_ *_The 7 Deadly Sins_* xD Edit: he quickly saw my comment and immediately changed it! xD Tip: KNOWING your limits. Theres a clear difference between skill limits in soloq than in Duo/Trio/Squad. And only certain roles can do an extent in Solo vs With Friends. Safest being Exp Lane in soloq, hardest being Support in soloq. For example, I got to pick a broken support hero that was left open which is *_Faramis._* (see my community post complaining xD) But even with that, i did not take into account IF my core teammates were decent enough or not to solidify the team to carry (spoiler alert, they weren’t). And that made it almost impossible to carry as a support, bcz supporting for outrageously dumb cores is way out of your abilities. And that lead to the enemy Irithel getting fed over my dumb feeding miya, and u can only do so much as a support. So if you know you got bad teammates, try pick a hero role that can actually carry, being the marksmen, jungler, mage or exp laner. For roamers, definitely a tanky one, cuz squishy supports can only do so much, and u should only EVER support/tank if u know ur random teammates are decent enough to help carry the game with.
That "I'm sure the enemy won't come here" I always do it the main reason I do it is The turtle is respawning on the other side the enemy won't come here so I push then next thing they're on my lane
As a new angela user i can agree with #3 there was a carry alu that *DESTROYED* the enemy team the only problem tho... He jumps in despite the hp that when i come in :D
reason i die a lot is because of opening a maps..such as using popol or selena. i tend to get ambushed when i am about to place a traps to give my teams visions and awareness. and in another issue , like using mm or assasin . i really really hate how the tanks stay in the bush with me , its acceptable for ambushing but come on i wanna walk pass there atleast go check the bush for me.. so i got impatient and go alone and died . they all blaming me for moving solo but all i can say is if you dont want me to die then go ahead playing in the front , open map for me , not hiding behind me and leave me when i got attacked ffs . i can play tank very well but reason i hate using tank is the core of my teams tend to dragging game to late and lose it. and even worse they laugh at my silver medals and proud of their gold medals. i took lot of damages for mm , i open map for team so enemy fail to ambush us , i didnt kill enemy on purpose so my teammates could get a kills . and mfs said useless tank for getting silver / bronze :))) theres time i even get reported for feeding . i know we can appeal for it if we play tank but seriously ?? reporting people who die for you ? ive had enough.
even tho my map sense good i sometimes miss stuff and am embarrassed to admit but not until recently i didn't know if you can see enemy turret b4 entering the bush then you are visible to the enemies even if you are not in their turrets attack range
Mistake #6 is something I often see. Even when there's an opening to the enemy base and when our team outnumbers theirs, my teammates still don't go for the attack simply because they want to kill more. And once we do start attacking the enemy base, someone will put in the chat: "Don't end it yet."

Even if you play well doesn’t matter. This happened previous and last season. After reaching mythic 3, I kept matching up with mythic 1, 2 and glory and reached 581. But this didn’t last long. After all the hardwork I kept getting mythic V duo with legends or mythic V and 2 legends. Doesn’t know how to ban, doesn’t know how to pick, doesn’t know enemy hero counter picks. This happened this season as well. Reached 465 points and then started getting legend mythic V duo. Why montoon does this to me? Why I get matched up with these legend mythic V duo which helps me to lose how much I play well. When on losing position these mythic V legend won’t stop fighting. They wanna fight fight and lose instead of defend defend and win. I am frustrated and now in mythic IV, I wanna cry seeing the gameplay of mythic V and IV players. Everytime I reach mythic 1 or 2, there will be a time I always match up with legend mythic V but when I am brought down to mythic IV, I don’t get legend duo teammates anymore.

I disagree about no. 4, you just need to master minimum of 3 or a maximum 5 heroes in each category, you just need to know about the other heroes mechanics and experience them a little, having too many heroes to play will confuse you cause some heroes has almost identical skills sometimes but the heroes gameplay is different so you might mix them up and make a big mistake, only a player with good macro & micro can do this “all master hero”, not all player has great macro and micro mate.

ok all the tips are actually helpful but I just want to tell something unrelated Layla is a bad hero, yes because of her lack of mobility and damage in early game. But, like in the video, knowing the power of your hero can help you a lot. I used to hate layla, but I used her once in rank (troll pick) It was actually going well, I keep poking my enemy and then finish off with 2nd and ult. Skip to Late game, I got a savage, two maniacs. No hero is bad if the player is good (im not good, just average) after that match, i kept using layla now as a 2nd option I easily win against enemies like miya clint and wanwan beatrix and brody are difficult, that's why I just clear, get gold, wait for teammates and then repeat until late game
When I reached legend 3-2 I have this habit of leaving my teammates at the clash and just get the turret. I guess watching too many Chooxs videos makes me remember the phrase "The lord is your's the turret/base is mine.

My ability to look at the map *excessively* and my one-sided mind is my biggest down fall As a pusher (or fighter user) I get that my main objective is to *keep pushing turrets* but that's also a problem I have to deal with EVERY. The last tip is exactly where my team lost the game ( the troll was a tank hylos) he build hp items then get ripped to pieces by a marksmen, kid had a meltdown asking how when he has high/full hp, I let the guy on the secret, the marksman had DHS then HE told me to STFU😒😑
For content the marksman was Popol and Kupa, and I was in legend or epic at that time this happened
What I hate is when my teammates always ''help me out'' in the jungle they basically just steal my gold and sometimes my buff without retri. One match, when my allies ''help me out'' on jungle i told them to retreat but after five mins they finally retreat but at that time I farm minions not creeps anymore.

nice video, I do all of these just wanted to see if I missed fee things or not but nope I agree with all of them, they are very important. Also at one point micro stops mattering as much as macro. Specially in mythic lobby it's better to take counters than a hero you are seasoned in. Provided you have all the map awareness and thr ability to position yourself. Nice guide it was fun to watch.

In almost 10000 tank matches I learned many things. 2 biggest advices I could give are 1. Watch map more than you think is enough. 2. Know your role!!!
As a tank main, if a game is intense i die 8 times per average. If its smooth, i die 2-3 times when team is okay in their map awareness and role knowledge.

The most annoying thing that happened in rank I think everyone can relate too when the enemies are dead and has 10 seconds to respwawn ur trying to destroy the base while ur team is spamming recall and emotes and the enemies respwawn and u get wiped out and lose the match and the base has low hp

Tip: KNOWING your limits. Theres a clear difference between skill limits in soloq than in Duo/Trio/Squad. And only certain roles can do an extent in Solo vs With Friends. Safest being Exp Lane in soloq, hardest being Support in soloq. For example, I got to pick a broken support hero that was left open which is *_Faramis._* (see my community post complaining xD) But even with that, i did not take into account IF my core teammates were decent enough or not to solidify the team to carry (spoiler alert, they weren’t). And that made it almost impossible to carry as a support, bcz supporting for outrageously dumb cores is way out of your abilities. And that lead to the enemy Irithel getting fed over my dumb feeding miya, and u can only do so much as a support. So if you know you got bad teammates, try pick a hero role that can actually carry, being the marksmen, jungler, mage or exp laner. For roamers, definitely a tanky one, cuz squishy supports can only do so much, and u should only EVER support/tank if u know ur random teammates are decent enough to help carry the game with.

I like your advices, but the match making nowadays make it so difficult to progress in a current game
reason i die a lot is because of opening a maps..such as using popol or selena. i tend to get ambushed when i am about to place a traps to give my teams visions and awareness. and in another issue , like using mm or assasin . i really really hate how the tanks stay in the bush with me , its acceptable for ambushing but come on i wanna walk pass there atleast go check the bush for me.. so i got impatient and go alone and died . they all blaming me for moving solo but all i can say is if you dont want me to die then go ahead playing in the front , open map for me , not hiding behind me and leave me when i got attacked ffs .
i can play tank very well but reason i hate using tank is the core of my teams tend to dragging game to late and lose it. and even worse they laugh at my silver medals and proud of their gold medals. i took lot of damages for mm , i open map for team so enemy fail to ambush us , i didnt kill enemy on purpose so my teammates could get a kills . and mfs said useless tank for getting silver / bronze :))) theres time i even get reported for feeding . i know we can appeal for it if we play tank but seriously ?? reporting people who die for you ? ive had enough.

and am embarrassed to admit but not until recently i didn't know if you can see enemy turret b4 entering the bush then you are visible to the enemies even if you are not in their turrets attack range
Mistake #6 is something I often see. Even when there's an opening to the enemy base and when our team outnumbers theirs, my teammates still don't go for the attack simply because they want to kill more. And once we do start attacking the enemy base, someone will put in the chat: "Don't end it yet."
Moral of the story: If someone says "don't end it yet" end it because you'll just get bamboozled
I always have my eyes on the map like 60% of the time. Trust me, make it a habit to look at the map most of the time. During pushing, rotating, clearing minions. Always look at the mini map

As a tank/support main I rely heavily on how good the DPS is the common thing to happen is the jungler choosing the buffs over the lord and when we all die bc it was a 4v5 said jungler gets mad

Even if you play well doesn’t matter. This happened previous and last season. After reaching mythic 3, I kept matching up with mythic 1, 2 and glory and reached 581. But this didn’t last long. After all the hardwork I kept getting mythic V duo with legends or mythic V and 2 legends. Doesn’t know how to ban, doesn’t know how to pick, doesn’t know enemy hero counter picks. This happened this season as well. Reached 465 points and then started getting legend mythic V duo. Why montoon does this to me? Why I get matched up with these legend mythic V duo which helps me to lose how much I play well. When on losing position these mythic V legend won’t stop fighting. They wanna fight fight and lose instead of defend defend and win. I am frustrated and now in mythic IV, I wanna cry seeing the gameplay of mythic V and IV players. Everytime I reach mythic 1 or 2, there will be a time I always match up with legend mythic V but when I am brought down to mythic IV, I don’t get legend duo teammates anymore.

I disagree about no. 4, you just need to master minimum of 3 or a maximum 5 heroes in each category, you just need to know about the other heroes mechanics and experience them a little, having too many heroes to play will confuse you cause some heroes has almost identical skills sometimes but the heroes gameplay is different so you might mix them up and make a big mistake, only a player with good macro & micro can do this “all master hero”, not all player has great macro and micro mate.

Layla is a bad hero, yes because of her lack of mobility and damage in early game. But, like in the video, knowing the power of your hero can help you a lot. I used to hate layla, but I used her once in rank (troll pick)

When I reached legend 3-2 I have this habit of leaving my teammates at the clash and just get the turret. I guess watching too many Chooxs videos makes me remember the phrase "The lord is your's the turret/base is mine.

I've only made one mistake every game I've done it's overestimating my hero's power and it end in my defeat
My ability to look at the map *excessively* and my one-sided mind is my biggest down fall
As a pusher (or fighter user) I get that my main objective is to *keep pushing turrets* but that's also a problem I have to deal with EVERY. SINGLE. MATCH, like I don't even bother roaming around as long as one enemy turret still stands mainly the outer turrets
One thing I want to add to this is learn from other games like lol, dota they have great tutorial like this video

Honestly the part I suck most is learning all the heroes. There's usually more than 100 heroes in currently popular MOBAs and my smooth brain just can't be bothered 😂
I think the lord one is pretty misleading, even if the enemy got wipe at like 9 - 10 minutes its better to push than to lord, the lord is pretty useless if it still not enhanced the best time to get lord it 12 - 15 minutes time mark
