Mine wouldn't light in the beginning when I opened it and I did the same thing, I tapped on the ball with the wood handle of a paint brush and it lit Immediately after. It's a great heater, GREAT Video!
Your fix works! Mine quite late last winter. Couldn’t get it to stay lit for nothing!! Did what you said here in this video, and it’s working again!! Thanks!!
HA! Just woke up at 3am 40 degrees in camper and dynoglow-360 NOT lighting. Now this model has a 1lb tank with a "swivel" female end to install/remove tank. Watched your video and thought "I bet if I just swivel tank up and drop it down a few times it'll fire.." 1st time fired! Takes about 15min to get camper to 75-80 degrees and I shut it off. At least I'll go back to sleep warm and wake up to QUICK light and heat! THANKS!
Wouldn't light, smelled gas, tapped on the housing and it lit. Didn't hold the button long enough so it went out and wouldn't light again. I tapped, nothing, I finally moved it and tried it and it lit, stayed lit, so it must have been on an uneven spot in the garage/shop floor. Thanks for the tip!!!
Well son of a gun - that worked on mine. I've replaced that part before as well and it never dawned on me to just give it a little whack. It makes sense because I store my heater head in a box on its side during the summer.
It’s not working for mine. Now when I push the plunger, no gas. If I disconnect and reconnect it works again, but when I tap it, the gas flow stops again. ???
I so understand. I bought a round outside heater for my patio, and couldn't get it let. I had a hard time getting rid of it until it got old setting in my backyard. I finally tossed it out. Have a great week.
@@silvergoldking I went to Walmart and bought a Big Buddy after commenting. So far it’s working like a champ. No annoying blowouts when a slight breeze comes along. Seems much sturdier and well built. Time will tell!
Thank you for posting this years ago. I was going crazy trying to solve this issue and wham, you nailed it. Thank you Sir.
Thanks man . Im going out to the cold to try your fix. Yay it worked. -8 degrees here in Michigan. Got the garage up to 40 degrees.
Man you saved my fishing trip worked like a charm 😊😊😊😊

I'm glad it worked now. Happy Holidays.
In the past I discovered that tapping it works, but never knew exactly WHERE to tap - I was banging every part - thanks for narrowing it down!
Awesome. Was frustrated - saw your video. Tapped the ball. And slowly, very slowly, released the igniter. Stayed on. Thank you.
I was having a bit of trouble until I saw this video, tapped it and turned it on. You the Man

You're a genius!
This was exactly our problem!!! Thank you so much!!! God bless you!!! Ours was brand new and the ball was not where it should be
Did not want to take mine all apart - just gave it a few taps on the side with a hammer and then shook it a bit - success!
Your the only one that got to the point qucik, Thanks
Sometimes the simplest solution is the answer. Thanks!
It works, Wish I know that years ago. I find these all the time.
Yup. Worked! Thanks a lot!

I’d like to know they say only put on a 20 gallon propane tank. Want to know if it can be mounted on a 30 gallon camper propane tank ?
I'm not for sure, but I would.
They probably say that for their safety.
Thumb up and subscribed lol hope this is whats wrong with mine
Cool thanks

Sorry don't know.
I tapped it a 100 times and it never lit. I’m so pissed!!!
I just smashed mine in the driveway after wasting 1.5 hours trying to light it. I’ll never buy a Dyna-Glo again. Total POS.

I finally tossed it out.
Have a great week.
