Mine wouldn't light in the beginning when I opened it and I did the same thing, I tapped on the ball with the wood handle of a paint brush and it lit Immediately after. It's a great heater, GREAT Video!

In the past I discovered that tapping it works, but never knew exactly WHERE to tap - I was banging every part - thanks for narrowing it down!

Awesome. Was frustrated - saw your video. Tapped the ball. And slowly, very slowly, released the igniter. Stayed on. Thank you.

HA! Just woke up at 3am 40 degrees in camper and dynoglow-360 NOT lighting. Now this model has a 1lb tank with a "swivel" female end to install/remove tank. Watched your video and thought "I bet if I just swivel tank up and drop it down a few times it'll fire.." 1st time fired! Takes about 15min to get camper to 75-80 degrees and I shut it off. At least I'll go back to sleep warm and wake up to QUICK light and heat! THANKS!

Did not want to take mine all apart - just gave it a few taps on the side with a hammer and then shook it a bit - success!

Wouldn't light, smelled gas, tapped on the housing and it lit. Didn't hold the button long enough so it went out and wouldn't light again. I tapped, nothing, I finally moved it and tried it and it lit, stayed lit, so it must have been on an uneven spot in the garage/shop floor. Thanks for the tip!!!

Well son of a gun - that worked on mine. I've replaced that part before as well and it never dawned on me to just give it a little whack. It makes sense because I store my heater head in a box on its side during the summer.

I’d like to know they say only put on a 20 gallon propane tank. Want to know if it can be mounted on a 30 gallon camper propane tank ?

They probably say that for their safety.

It’s not working for mine. Now when I push the plunger, no gas. If I disconnect and reconnect it works again, but when I tap it, the gas flow stops again. ???

I so understand. I bought a round outside heater for my patio, and couldn't get it let. I had a hard time getting rid of it until it got old setting in my backyard.
      I finally tossed it out.
      Have a great week.

@@silvergoldking I went to Walmart and bought a Big Buddy after commenting. So far it’s working like a champ. No annoying blowouts when a slight breeze comes along. Seems much sturdier and well built. Time will tell!
