One of the best shows you have had. Real food is the answer. This processed food industry is criminal and the invention of "kid food" is destroying our country. So glad I did not have to grow up with this stuff as an 80 year old.

Ed, you are right most diet books outthere are pretty much all the same, I am a professional Chef, I has been saying for a few years now that people need to spend more time cooking in their kitchen, dont just hire a personal trainer for your results in the gym, get a nutritionist to guide you, get a Chef to show you simple skills to make you more efficent in your kitchen. I'm in chapter 3 of this book. I knew that I knew nothing about nutrition, but I didn't realize how much I didn't know about the physiology. I am learning so.much important information. It is presented in a way that keeps it interesting and makes it relatable.
This is truly incredible. I was sure what I was going to get out of this one but I was pleasantly surprised. Shawn is incredibly thoughtful and can tell he has definitely does his research on food! I guess you really are what you eat. This one might be my favorite one yet.
Best part of this show for me was learning about DHA/EPA and learning about the Omega 3 supplements for our brains... so blessed to hear the conversation . The consistency of the brain being like "Soft Butter," put things into perspective.... and of course, that was just the beginning for this amazing informative show......
Hi Ed, I didn't take the time to comment yesterday, sorry. Halfway through, I stopped. Went to Amazon and purchased Shawn's ebook Eat Better along with his ebook Sleep Better. Finished the Eat Better ebook and have implemented what I have learned setting up my 12 hours fasting period and now shopping for the food he recommends. Listening to Shawn took that knowledge to whole new level. I was a believer that exercise had more importance than food. But learning how food contributes so much to how your body moves, how your emotions are affected and energy levels there’s definitely a switch. Shawn’s explanation on food diversity and our Indigenous diet is a new nutritional concept to dive into. Our society is all about elimination food fads and that’s a big problem. I was also hypnotized with how he broke down Fat. Never heard it articulated in that way. Excited to dive into his book when it arrives. I honestly thought certain foods only effected certain parts of my body like carrots help my eyes, sauerkraut only helps my digestion. Very eye opening. 2. The balance in my body is more important than I ever imagined. I'm overweight and I thought it was because of 2 or 3 different foods I ate consistently. But in reality it was the lack of so many different foods that has brought me to my current weight and overall health. His book will be in my library shortly.

I train 5-6 days a week, but nutrition has been a hurdle for me to dial in. After listening today, it’s apparent that I didn’t know what I didn’t know. Thanks again!

I personally believe you missed a golden opportunity to naming this “MAXING OUT YOUR LIFETIME” the reason I say this is because I believe and love Our Heavenly Father as well. If given Gods plan we can live out our maximum health and lifespan but we cannot add-on to our lifespan a single hour. However lack of knowledge is what shortens our lifespan and our bank accounts. This Episode, is filled with life changing information. It is 100% true that people will never be satiated when their body is only getting empty calories and chemicals/sugars, etc. The body only ever wants real nutrients. When you give the body what it needs and take out what it doesn't want, true healing can quickly begin.
