I believe they were attempting to depict what abusive relationships may be like behind closed doors and how difficult it is to escape them. Gain was obviously resisting and pushing the guy away since she didn't want to do anything, but he kept pushing her boundaries. The guy was also trying hard to keep her from leaving him by using terribly twisted ways. He soaked himself in gasoline in one scene, and then in another, he was hugging her while holding out a lighter.
She is a very very provocative artist! I love how she is not afraid of talking about women sexuality, freedom and how they struggle in her society, she is INCREDIBLE! I MISS HER SO MUCH
This is Gain's way of getting people to notice the domestic violence (emotional, physical, and sexual) that women face in private and how the cycle of abuse works. Notice the body language of how she's being grabbed, it's possessive and she can't leave. There are a few moments of niceness where she's smiling, but ultimately it ends in blood and more violence.
I think there's a reason why JYP picked Gain as one of the judges in Sixteen. I think he was making a statement to the future TWICE members that he didn't want cookie cutter female idols. Gain and her group, Brown Eyed Girls, made a career out of being provocative, and not only in a sexual way. Also, how did Donald Trump get in here?
i think the video illustrates some extremes of passion (positive and negative) ...i remember being so surprised by the subject matter when it came out and never contemplated the meaning too deeply. i was too busy being impressed with the boundaries that were being tested within Kpop
It’s about domestic r*pe. Check out the lyrics. „Eff you I don’t want it now. Please stop it“ and the guy is like „but I love you we are in a relationship it’s my right“…
This is my same kind of reaction when I'm confused and concerned at the same time. Reading the translation in the lyrics helped me understand the situation. Otherwise I thought it was just steamy and troubling

Exactly, this isn’t passion, it’s abuse.
