*Congrats on getting APPROVED from all the different inspectors 🙂 Eric well done on getting that gib-board up on that wall. 🙂 Yep have two people up on the scaffold to do the ceiling and you will soon get it all done. 🙂nz*
No bad drywall stories. Find a good professional and it is amazing how fast they get it done. I know you like to do stuff yourself but when the time comes, hire a taper, they will do the job better than most non professionals and SO FAST. You can work on things that don't take a special talent instead of spending WEEKS AND WEEKS on that task in house with so much wall space.
Congratulations on your inspections. Maybe self propelled hydraulic scaffolding would help with your heights. The video was great, but your editor must have been rushed. The background music was too loud making it difficult to hear your sweet voice.
I know he was working to get it out, but Adobe also rolled out a new update too this weekend so perhaps it tweaks the volume levels a bit after saving (it's happened in earlier versions). Adobe can be a pain sometimes :( But I'll have him double check for next time :)
And whose silly idea was it to have walls that high?? ;) They make a tool you put in the outlet boxes to locate and cut them out after the drywall is up, no measuring. And ... since the other side of the wall is still open, you could cut them out from the back side, again, no measuring.
If this barndomium was mine, i would hire a crew for the inside house hanging and finishing/ saving your backs guys u will thank your selfs later in life! As procrastinator president my self yet to hang my own 2 car garage! At 55 years old its defiantly a drywall lift! 😊
Really enjoy your videos You and Erik work well together. He’s a great problem solver. Love you guys 💕
Glad your inspections wentg well. Eric's measuiring and cutting the drywall is really imperessive.
Congrats on getting those inspection approvals.

Really starting to look like a home. Great job.
Nice video and good job. Take care and have a blessed and safe day
For the garage ceiling. maybe make up a couple T braces out of 2x4 to hold it up while screwing.
Good stuff , the planters are a cool touch
My drywall horror story is that one time I had to hang a single piece of drywall.
LOL
Nice job you 2,,,,,and much respect for going up the high,,,older I get,,,can't deal hights anymore...looks amazing.
The inside is where it gets fun because with the ceiling you lose the 'safety" of the wall next to you, lol

Excellent advice. Sadly, few people listen anymore.
House is looking good love the video guys much love and respect thanks for sharing ❤❤
This guy is a GOOD carpenter.
I can't wait for this project to be done 😩 Thats going to be a big house!
That's what everyone says, lol, but really the actual floorspace is about the same as our current house, lol
A couple years ago I converted my attached double garage into my man cave plus guest bedroom. Drywall and mudding was the part I most hated.
Erik is thinking maybe down the road doing the same!
Another awesome vid! Hang in there!
Erik is hoping he won't be doing too much "hanging", and most certainly no falling, lol
your home is looking nice and it will nice
Great video
Thanks!

NO need for music.

Erik has been eye balling those tools you are referring to and may get some for the interior ;D
I have seen drywall mud and tape 1/2" thick and it looked like they threw the mud at it with a snow shovel.
Erik might give that a try!
Turn the music volume down!

Erik is considering the ceiling since he is terrified of heights!
Commenting early,,,push the boxes together,,,make it 1 big box??? Personally speaking of course..
not sure you need 5/8ths on the ceiling ??
His insulation guy said that's what they see done . . . so maybe that's why Erik decided on it?
My beautiful lady I admire you very much you have a charming smile
Are these current?
I thought that between garage and living space had to be 3/4 drywall.
I believe the fire rated drywall only comes in one thickness, so whatever that was that's what we bought, lol
adjust your clutch
We began the year with this issue, and adjusted it to the max point . . . but I guess the stock clutch is know for wearing out quickly . . .
@This1LifeWeLive something isn't right because I know that tractor don't have that many hours, unless someone is riding the clutch.
