Exactlllllyyyy! Having an ENTIRE other relationship with another person and coming up with a lie to give both girls so they never ask about each other is way different and way worse than a one-off thing. Both are really bad of course and still cheating, but spending months dating someone as if you don't already have another person in your life? That's just cruel
@@Razzberry_dollz I mean, there was an episode that Teddy actually dreamed off Emmett and she is kissing him... But Disney had other plans, they let Emmett became a wimp that couldn't kiss Teddie when she is trying to practice kissing him because she is trying to figure out what that dream means and he ended up quitting the job and Spencer getting the job... That's OOC of Emmett since ever since they were child, Emmett had been crushing on Teddy
also, in wizards of waverly place there's that scene where mason (alex's boyfriend at the time) tells juliette (his ex) that he will never stop loving her, in front of alex 🫢
That was kinda different in my opinion. It was instinctual and he did not mean to even do it. His love for Alex was very real, but Juliet was his first love and werewolves are still like dogs in some ways Aka Very loyal
@@obliviousfantasy633it wasn’t just that instant. Mason continued to be very impulsive and doing things without thinking and became very possessive of Alex
Its quite ironic how the Spencer and Teddy cheating actually happened in real life also. With Shane Harper cheating on Bridget Mendler with her best friend Samantha Bascarrino
@@Nopenonameok It does but again life imitated art. Take One Tree Hill for example. Lucas dated Brooke in the first season of the show and wound up cheating on her. In real life Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush got married and divorced cause he cheated on her.....coincedence?
Disney channel saying that you should get back with a guy who cheated on you was one of the worst things they could have taught. Because I remember as a kid being so mad that Teddy got back together with Spencer. Even as a kid I knew this wasn’t right. This was not a good message Disney should have been teaching to young girls or anyone. Cheating should never be seen as a “we can work this out” and “it’s ok you didn’t mean it” solution.
I think it truly depends on the situation. But for Disney channel, they shouldn’t be doing that whole morally ambiguous route for kids. Kids don’t think in moral ambiguity until they’re older. They can learn that on their own and it’s best to teach them that being angry is valid, men shouldn’t expect to all be forgiven, and maybe also that men aren’t all cheaters.
Honestly why is the media so obsessed with making it seem like cheating is not that big a deal? He trust was broken, so many lies have to be told so the person is able to cheat on the first place it’s so many things! I remember in gossip girl one time Chuck and Blair made it their foreplay to have Chuck pick up a girl at a bar and almost hook up with her before Blair would interrupt, humiliate and slut shame the girl, then proceed to have sex with Chuck… like… like that was cute or something. Idk it’s just the culture in Hollywood I guess. They are trying to normalize it to the rest of the world ugh wish they’d keep that to themselves.
I remember even as a kid finding it disgusting that Teddy took back that loser after all that happened.. like girl I wouldn’t trust a man after that, if he can cheat once he can cheat twice.. 💀
Someone correct my memory, if I am wrong, but if I remember correctly, doesn’t Charlie hate Spencer? With that kind of be a tip after that guy not being a good guy?
@@kaylajames3098I thought it was funny how a little girl felt that bad energy from Spencer before Teddy did. Charlie may not have known what cheating is, but children are good are picking bad and good apples of people.
Kennie JD said it best with “cheating is an act of hate, not a mistake” and she was right. Unfortunately modern media has this weird boner for portraying it as just an inconvenient mistake that can and will happen, that it’s normal and even hot sometimes, and they like getting those messages to us when we’re real young.
Not just that, sometimes they portray it in a way where they try to show justification. Like it’s okay sometimes. If you’re gay and discovering yourself is the biggest example of that. As someone bi, that is NO justification! If you are questioning and meet someone, talk to your partner, break up, whatever, you don’t cheat
@@GymtoshiI know this one bothers me /: just because we’re struggling with our identity doesn’t mean we have a pass for hurting someone especially someone who’s in love with us. I have a friend who’s father cheated on their mom with a man and most people felt sorry for him, like he had no other choice. But he could have gotten a divorce even if he was not ready to tell people who he was he could have still just said they didn’t love their wife anymore and broke things off before going on to explore their sexuality. It’s really messed up that we’re basically teaching children they should be ok with being cheated on because hey it’s just an oopsie they’re not a bad person lol
I definitely cheated I was in autopilot mentally I just kept living life how I was use to living it it’s something that unfortunately hurts another person a lot and it’s avoidable none of that means that the cheater is maliciously trying to show hate to another person through cheating at least I wasn’t that shi sounds crazy manipulative

Disney channel shows have a problem of forcing relationships that fundamentally don’t work just because they look good together/have already been together which makes me mad raahhhh 😭😭😭
@@icecreamhero2375 From what I've noticed the shows don't really focus on romantic subpllots anymore buuuut I mostly just watch Raven's home now and The Villains of Valley View so idk if shows like Bunk'd have this isuue >_
@@Leviachan-In my opinion, Bunk'd does have this issue. They now have Parker and Victoria dating when I honestly believe that Lou and Parker have more chemistry. I think the only reason they have Parker and Victoria dating is because the actors are together in real life. But just because they have chemistry in real life does mean their characters will automatically be perfect together too. I mean, I guess there's nothing really wrong with Victoria and Parker, but I feel like their relationship is really shallow, where Parker just all of a sudden decides he likes her because she's a better dancer than him. I guess I appreciate that he wasn't insecure about Victoria being better than him at dancing lol, but it's just that the storyline between Parker and Victoria came out of nowhere. Plus, more people have been wanting Lou and Parker to be together even before Victoria showed up, but of course it is up to the writers as to what they want to do. But having a whole storyline in season 5 where Parker thought Lou had a crush on him and was SO excited about it, only to then just kind of move past that so quickly just bothers me. I'd be more okay with Lou and Parker not be together if it wasn't for that episode, but you can't tell me that Parker wasn't so happy when he thought Lou had a crush on him. Like the guy literally thought Lou had asked him out on a bowling date and then when they came back from the "date" and Lou was saying how she got an amazing score, Parker told her, "maybe you got such a great score because you were trying to impress me." I don't know, it seems like in season 5, Lou and Parker were going to be together but now the writers are really trying to squash any chance of that happening and all so that Parker can be with someone who has only been in three episodes so far and with someone that he only loves because she's pretty and dances better than him - meanwhile Lou and Parker have literally said that they admired each other twice and while yes, it was in a platonic way, but I just think Lou and Parker have a deeper relationship and connection with each other. Not to mention that in the season 7 episode "Workaversary Girl", it was revealed that Lou and Parker have what they both refer as their special day where they celebrate the day they started working together and it legit seems more like they're celebrating their anniversary. And then when it turns out that Lou forgot their workaversary, Parker was so upset and he told her "I would never forget our special day. Were our business feelings for each other all a lie?" LIKE SERIOUSLY, "business" feelings?? The writers know what they are doing at this point😭 But anyways this is all just my opinion, obviously I wish Lou and Parker would be together, but it's the writers' decision. I still think that Lou and Parker had the potiental to be the best ship on the show since Emma and Xander, but it is true that often times, Disney won't allow the truly good ships to ever be together. Anyways sorry for this comment being so long, I just wanted to explain everything. I hope you have an amazing day!
A lot of boyfriends in Disney are so abusive. I didn't like the whole Teddy and Spencer debacle. He always seemed to cause drama and he genuinely dated Skyler. He lied to Teddy and he lied to Skyler and I hate how the rest of the show seemed to forget that he cheated on Skyler as well who was just as much of a victim as Teddy. At least she got the better end. She dated PJ who was a good boyfriend. Teddy should have ended up with Bo since he mirrors her dad much better. Plus she deserves better And Mason-Alex. Mason is an abusive pos.
@@icohen1627 Spencer was a bad boyfriend in season 1 but in season 3, he had change and realized his mistakes. He still had his faults but not more than is typical for a teenage boy and he had implicitly changed from his cheating ways. And he did have many moments where he shows genuine care and/or feelings for Teddy.
It doesn’t matter if there’s truth in the idea of “men can cheat and still love you.” If you purposefully do ANYTHING that harms your partner that would bring them such pain, it’s rooted in hate
I read something once that was along the lines of “you can love someone more than anything and anyone, and not respect them at all.” Their choices, their feelings, the things that make them happy and sad, you can love those things but in the end choose to ignore them.
I feel like either they simply don't love you as a person or do love you but don't love themselves and sabotage all their relationships because they feel they don't deserve them
@@lastquarter3992 People like that hate themselves more than they’ll ever be able to love their partner. Its its own form of self obsession that ends up destroying the person they claim to love. Trying to keep them alive and happy is draining, especially when they’re sabotaging those relationships.
i JUST saw the teddys choice episode, i kept screaming ‘f you!’ to spencer, cause not only did you cheat, move away, and start dating a few weeks after the break up you have the nerve to tell teddy you couldn’t stand watching her w another dude!? conveniently after you break up w the other girl?… now you wanna get back together after you see the new guy? ALSO when he was dating other people he still wanted to be friends but when she was with someone he didn’t wanna be her friend anymore? spencer can get rocked!
No. Teddy also moved on at the same time as Spencer where they "both" began dating a doppleganger of each other. The point was to show they still had feelings for each other. The Teddy doppleganger was the only person he dated. He didn't refuse to be friends out of spite but because he was still in love with her and couldn't do it. Sometimes, it takes time or a certain event to make a person realize something. But nevertheless he left her alone once she chose Beau, even when he was back in town for the summer until Teddy sent her dad to invite him to her party.
@@Tasha9315 Teddy technically stop dating that guy who looks like Spencer immediately... @@alexiscando2068 Yes, but she "started" in the first place right? So it's not just Spencer who tried to move on. Spencer dating an exact doppleganger is a sign that he still had feelings for Teddy and wasn't ready to move on even if he tried. And I don't get what you're saying? Yeah, Spencer as a teenager made immature choices. But that doesn't mean he's a bad person, can't mature or didn't truly change from his cheating ways.

In Hannah Montana, the dad had always given miley those videos of the mom in certain situations bc I think the mom knew that the dad can’t always give her the advice she needs ( the mom talked about this in an ep too) so I feel that her mom left videos for girl talks, chats and even just so miley could hear her voice again… it was such a cute idea !!
there also is this implication from every1 w several plot points, that despite it being shocking the mums death was expected (likely a result of terminal illness, thus, the videos)
One of the only times a Disney show handled cheating well was in dog with a blog. I remember one episode Avery and her friends all got cheated on by the same guy. All three girls get revenge, stay friends, and we never saw the guy again
When I was first watching Good luck Charlie I was into the Spencer and Teddy relationship until he cheated on her. As a kid I was sad by this because I was low-key a hopeless romantic who is always rooting for the fist main couple I see; however now that I'm older I feel like Teddy and Spencer should never have gotten back together. Spencer still disappoints me especially since Teddy was at first so happy with him and he cheated on her and lied to her about it. After that he just can't take the hint that she doesn't trust him anymore and that they're never getting back together. For crying out loud he literally follows her up the mountain when she's supposed to be on vacation,, like I didn't realize that was very creepy. Bottom line the writers choosing to make Teddy get back together with Spencer never actually felt right since Spencer never really earned her forgiveness
The other side of the coin of toxic media relationships is when TV shows or books make it seem like cheating is the only excuse for breaking up with someone. A character can be in a terrible or abusive relationship and the writers will have their partner cheat on them instead of just having them break up normally because their relationship isn’t working.
It makes me so mad when, and this only ever happens with female characters, a girl in a show or book is stuck in a "love triangle" between two guys and one of them is a complete d*ck and the other one is genuinely nice and decent, but of course she's gonna end up with the jerk because he's dark and mysterious and all broody. But first, they have to have her date the nice one and then have him cheat on her because they need to come up with any reason to make the asshole guy look better in comparison
I have ALWAYS felt like these particular shows were trying to make girls feel like cheating was inevitable and that they should forgive and stay with the guy and it makes me so upset🙃it might’ve just been to add drama but I have this terrible underlying feeling the male screenwriters were guilty of this behavior and wanted to “make a point that *all gUYs dO thAT* and should be given another chance please👉👈🥺” when it’s really just toxic behavior
I'm glad Miley chose Jesse in the end (not only because of Jake cheating). It was refreshing to see the main character end up with a guy or girl that isn't the first person they date on the show or the consistent, same love interest. In the case of Teddy and Spencer (regardless of Bridget and Shane's real life romance), another intention that writers might have had was showing how a cheater can change and prove that they're sorry for what they did. Because people can change and learn from what they did. I don't think Spencer should've pushed so hard, though. Especially when Teddy was in a new relationship. If they gave more time for Bo and Teddy to be a couple (and more time for Spencer and Teddy to be apart), than I feel like that would've worked better. I'm not defending this ship. Just giving a possibility as to what the writers may have been going for. I do see why people were/are upset about them being canon, though. Because cheating is wrong, point blank.
Teddy and Spencer ending up together will never not put me in a rage- I love couples with a complicated past who overcome it for the sake of their love or whatever but no just no I personally just can’t stand them as a couple
Which is why Justin/Julliet is so much better (aside of their technical age difference & the Monster Hunter plot). They went through a lot of heartbreak together & apart - Justin even became evil at one point - but they never hurt or tried to hurt eachother (& when Julliet was back, she was manipulated by evil Angel as well)
spencer cheating in good luck charlie pissed me off soooo much, bc their relationship before that was really refreshing. there was p much no insecurity or drama, they just liked each other from the start and were a good couple... and then the writers or whoever decided they needed more unnecessary drama. it couldve been such a nice change from the usual tv show relationships with drama every single episode, and they couldve set up a lot of comedic moments and plotlines from a drama-free relationship like that
in my opinion Justin and Juliet werent really problematic i loved their relationship when i was little and rewatching the show now but i could be forgetting something
Honestly tho Vampire age aside, Justin and Juliet weren't problematic at all. If anything they where one of the best relationships in the Disney channel.
Justin/Julliet is honestly one of the better love stories they wrote, especially cuz it helped their characters & also Harper's move forward a lot. The chemistry between Brigit & David Henrie was tamer than most, but still worked well
Ironic how in real life… Bridget Mendler & Samantha Boscarino were best friends & while in a relationship with Bridget… Shane Harper cheated on her with Samantha & they both have been dating ever since. Yikes 😱
When I was a kid watching Hannah Montana, I wanted Jake to die. I had a Hannah Montanna doll and a cheap Ken doll, and I had Hannah sentence Jake to death by decapitation and ripped his head off. In front of my parents. Who were filming. *also aunt Dollie Parton is iconic.*
It always bothered me when they would do the whole “I might reveal your secret to the world”. Like who’s gunna believe that she’s Hannah Montana or that they are wizards at face value
I ended up forgiving a cheater one time, and going back to a cheater another time (two different guys). And it took such a toll on me mentally and it took a long time for me to understand that forgiving a cheater for what they did is one thing but allowing for the relationship to stay in tact is another and is typically VERY unhealthy
It's so weird how people try to justify cheating by saying things like "they meant nothing to me!" as if cheating with a random stranger instead of somebody you're involved with makes it less painful~ That is so much worse and the way that their logic tells them that's a good thing to say as an apology shows you there's something truly wrong in their brains that allows them to think that way~ Like, there's something wrong with you if you actually cheat and you try to make an excuse for it afterwards or you just don't get how serious it really is because even a five year old can tell you that that's not cool~
Hear me out- How Teddy love story should have been She always told Spencer the time wasn’t right or maybe they will cross paths again right? Well, now that he cheated on her she realized not every person she had a relationship with in her life will cross paths with her again and bad timing doesn’t mean the right person. It wasn’t until she met Beau and they broke up because Beau had to move back to Texas. In the end of the series they cross paths again unexpectedly and that’s when Teddy knew Beau is the one for her.
Emmett was a better choice for Teddy but Disney just like any other kid's tv network can't keep interracial couples together. Spencer just counting the days he and Teddy were broken up just seems kinda manipulative and kinda love-bombing. He's basically saying, "I've missed you so much that I've been counting how long we've been apart. Will you please get back with me? Because I need you!"
It is a Disney+ show but since it is derived from the High School Musical trilogy, you can add Seb and Carlos from HSMTMTS. I was shocked that a cheating plot was included in the history of one of the first gay Disney couples.
I remember during this time. Disney did a voting thing. Where we could choose between Jake or Jesse. So I think that is why they had alternate scenes for who she chooses.
I never watched these shows & didn't really watch the Disney channel, but I completely agree that cheating is portrayed as just a "mistake that happens" & isn't a big deal.. Most of the TV shows I've seen that address this concept portray it in this way & it's very problematic. I feel it's negatively influenced our generation.
Not just our generation, but the generations before us too. All the older women in my family keep telling me that cheating is a “mistake that just happens” and that “you can’t control feelings” which is false. And they got these ideas from watching dramatic soap operas and reading romance novels filled to the brim with those tropes when they were younger.
@@abba9265 Ofc! And I totally agree. Older media just tends to display problematic and harmful tropes in a positive light (or at least tries to make it seem normal). I feel like bc of this the older generations just don't see a problem with it and that was part of the reason why cheating and stuff like that was so rampant back then (ofc they just didn't talk abt it). It kind of romanticized it in a way. And now you have those people growing up and becoming writers and executives on kids shows where they introduce it as plot points to "make things more interesting". But what kind of messages are they sending to little kids? Definitely not good ones, that's for sure.
I think even what Miley did could be considered cheating. She knew Jesse had feelings for her and she still got closer to him, writing a personal love song alone with him and telling him she wanted to kiss him but couldn't because she was dating Jake. Then she told both guys she was going to choose between them... If she had chosen Jesse at that point, would it have been more obvious that she cheated on Jake and left him for Jesse? Not that it makes what Jake did acceptable, but I just mean that Miley's cheating should have been acknowledged as well.
Teddy and Spencer getting back together infuriated me to no end. I prety much stopped watching every new episide that came out. I still kept up with it, but it really soured the experience
Honestly spencer cheating made no sense. He never gave off that vibe he was like that nor did ever sneak around until the ep where teddy found out wanted him to. The same could be said for jake
Another Disney Channel that is problematic are Chuck and Trish from Austin and Ally. Austin & Ally is one of my all time favorite shows and it’s my comfort show. I love Auslly as much as every other fan does, but I wish that the fandom had more variety with other characters and other ships. I feel like Trish in particular always got the short end of the stick when it came to love interests on A&A. Trent led her on, lied to her face, had another girlfriend behind her back, and manipulated her to be Austin’s backup dancer. Sure, he apologized, but his “apology” was more of a sorry he got caught and not because he showed any actual remorse for his actions. Roger seemed like a decent enough guy, but I hardly know anything about him so I can’t actually judge him. TW: S**ual assault and domestic violence Trish ended up marrying Chuck, who was creepy and rapey and flirted aggressively with her. He looked at Trish more like a sex object or a piece of property than an actual person. If A&A wasn’t a kids’ show, Chuck would have probably gotten Trish drunk or slipped her drugs and then he would have taken advantage of her and sexually assaulted her (or at least tried to). Either that or he would physically, verbally, or emotionally abuse Trish. Jace was literally the only decent love interest Trish ever had. He was such a sweet guy who cared for her and knew what she liked, accepted her with wide open arms, bought her that nice chair, and wasn’t upset about her bringing Chuck to prom. Not to mention, he is beyond handsome. Jace is also just an underrated character in general. Agree/disagree? Let me know!!
People are gonna say this is a reach but I really do feel like her getting the short end of the stick in love is because of the fact that she's fat. It's very common for overweight characters to not get happy love interest because they're the "joke character" and "unattractive" And of course there was Dez as the joke character but that doesn't mean Trish wasn't either They kinda also played in Latina stereotypes by making her lazy and napping a lot they kinda played on the lazy Mexican stereotype But she also simultaneously always working everywhere and being kinda unappreciative if it like the stereotype of Latin americans stealing jobs in America And then ofc the sassy Latina part as well. Although I might also just file that under the token character of color who is the best friend of the white main character and their only job is to be sassy and crazy.
@@obliviousfantasy633 I see what you’re saying, and I think your point is fair. A&A is one of my all time favorite shows, and while it still does have a little more flaws than I once perceived, it has always been and always will be one of my all time favorite shows.
I do agree that Jace was the best love interest for Trish. When I was rewatching the show I really felt that he cared for her. He actually reminded me of one of my friends. So I found it weird that he was dropped.

You probably already know about this and just chose to focus on more prominent/popular Disney Channel couples, but another "the cheater has no real consequences" situation that always upset me was that dude from Lemonade Mouth. Mo deserved so much better, and apparently she even broke up with the guy and ended up with Charlie instead in the original book that the movie was based on. I truly have no idea why Disney chose to retcon that.
That always bugged me so much! Now I know that Charlie and Mo didn't get together in the movie because of the actors age difference, but couldn't Mo have just stayed single or get a random other lover interest?
@@x-man9473 I think that depends on our respective definitions of cheating. If you're talking solely about hugging/kissing/other physical affection, then you could argue he didn't cheat. But he definitely at least flirted with another girl while he was still with Mo, which I personally consider cheating.
I mean we all know Disney movies set a very unrealistic standard for relationships however Disney Channel promoted toxic relationships and problematic behavior - granted it was all meant to be lighthearted and silly and of course it is when you’re just watching it on TV but when it happens in real life, yikes
the best relationship was definitely austin & ally. no cheating scandals, no massive fight, the two just didn’t work out and remained good friends and then once they got back together they were together for good (if you don’t count the future breakup where again they get back together anyway) they had a very healthy relationship and always were able to maturely work through their issues by the end of the episodes shenanigans
It‘s so annoying to me that the girls in those shows are often so passive, just letting everything happen to them: Their boyfriends show up, like them, so they agree to date… Then the guys leave and they split… the guy gets back and they can‘t help falling in love again… It‘s usually the guys that take initiative, and the girls NEVER create their own stories. I just think it‘s a really toxic mindset to portray for young girls😕
I think by having Jake cheats in Miley, the writers did something great accidentally. Like you said, they built it up like he was THE one, them being together was endgame, which is how a lot of teenagers think of their first love/relationship. They built up the relationship in at least Miley’s eyes(I never liked Jake), to be similar to how a lot of us feel, and having him cheat on her was a somewhat realistic end for a high school relationship. I don’t think the writers did it in purpose though, because they could have done a lot more with that kind of storyline if it was.
i been cheated ion and really messes w your mind and emotions was dating my ex for nearly 3 years before she told me she fell for another girl in a week come to find out she'd been cheating the whole time and i found from others when i was younger i never really understood how it felt to cheated on like Teddy or Miley had been i just knew i'd never do that to somebody but now that i know what its like to be extremely hurt and depressed over it for like a week or 2 i dont understand how Teddy AND Miley can get back with them so many times (especially Miley) like i understand being in love and its hard to let go of your first ever love and you want to get back with them cause you got history with them believe me, I KNOW but you never should be with someone who mentally hurts you and plays games i never really liked Jake or Spencer cause of that reason alone i always liked Jesse and Beu for them i dont know why TV (especially KIDS tv shows) like to show that cheating is okay and toxicity in relationships im a hopeless romantic so maybe its just me😭🤣
The relationship between Teddy and Spencer was wild. He had a whole another romance with that brunette girl, he didn't even say "sorry" to Teddy ONCE! He just said that he wants to get back with her and misses her, and they got back LOL. Spencer's character was so poorly written. I wouldn't show this to my daughter as an example of cute teenage relationship and dealing with situations like that for sure....And the fact that these actors were actually dating in real life (I mean Teddy and Spencer), but the guy that plays Spencer have REALLY CHEATED On her WITH THAT BRUNETTE ACTRESS from the series?!?!??!?! like bro, fcked up
I completely agree with everything said and every point made. The only reason why I don’t see it as a super terrible thing is that Disney allowed teddy to go back and relearn the reason why she left him in the first place. All the cheating and the way he avoided compromising at all points it does show that with all of that she still had feelings for him. In real life some people do go back to there exes to give it another try and it proves the point that you don’t truly move on until you’re ready to leave despite the bad things in the relationship. The love is still there but I believe that a lot of things should not be forgiven or reconcilable but it happens.
The one good relationship that comes out of the whole cheating storyline, is Skylar from good luck Charlie. She’s get cheated on by Spencer, breaks up with him and moves on by getting together with PJ, who is actually a good guy.
Theres an Indian adaptation of Good Luck Charlie called Best of Luck Nikki in which teddy (dolly in the Indian version) ever ended up with Spencer (Ritesh in the Indian version) instead they added other boyfriends and honestly, i prefer that version. In the episode where she has to kiss Spencer because she needs money to buy a car ( scooter in the Indian version ) they added a guy called Rahul and it was a enemies to lover trope where they both hated each other since they were kids however it turns out he pretends to not like her cuz had a huge crush on her and they start dating. There was also other guys like kunal and gaurav. The best one who I think she should have ended up with was Ayaan. They had amazing chemistry and he was a supportive boyfriend but he was moving away due to uin.Aayan encouraged Dolly to start dating other people iroically they date ppl who look exactly like each other. Later she started dating Aavishkar ( bo in the American versioin).
This is likely just me, but Teddy should have ended up with Bo. Especially given how Spencer and Teddy getting back together just never made sense. While not as bad as Nick, the Disney Channel had some frustrating relationships. I think the worst of them all was Cody and Bailey from Suite Life on Deck, looking back it really does take up more of the show than it should have, and their constant drama felt really toxic. And I did mention, I think Cody Martin's character derailment is almost as bad as Justin Russo's, only I find Cody to be worst tbh, especially how he treats Zack, London, and even Bailey. Cody REALLY became a massive prick. Bailey could be annoying too tbh, but outside of the movie, I can't remember much she did that was bad. Be interesting to see a video on how toxic Cailey was and the derailment of Cody's character.
@@Surgemaster2012 When it comes to Cody he's easily the scrappy for me. Well for one, there's his 6-month plan to win Bailey, which is downright creepy, and how he just simps over her in general. Cody also becomes more egotistical, self-centered, and abrasive, namely towards Zack, and acts like a sexist misogynistic jerkass toward Bailey. Then once they become a couple, not long after Cody starts to show his misogyny against women. In the episode Roomies (where Marcus first debuts), Cody is pissed off simply because he can't stand the fact that a female (especially his partner) is more athletically inclined, then displays levels of toxic masculinity toward Bailey because he can't stand her being stronger than him and gets pissed that she beats him at everything. In Kitchen Cassanova, he mistreats Bailey in comparison to all the females in his cooking class, and the response he gives is sooo POOR! Yes, you don't want to show favoritism to your spouse in a class where other people are present, but rather than simply just show no bias he actively treats her worse than the others and is perfectly fine with all those girls coming onto him when it's obvious how much they are using the class as an excuse to hit on him! Then when this causes a scuffle between Bailey and another girl, only Bailey is singled out for the fight! In Lost at Sea, simply to prove he's smarter than Bailey, he sabotages the sail on their boat which gets them lost at sea over wounded pride, then gets jealous of Zack when he's using his survival skills to help everyone on the island just because Bailey was showing Zack appreciation for his skill. So, Cody basically was willing to strand everyone on an island by sabotaging their sail over petty jealousy to prove he's better than Bailey. This is what I always HATED about Cody, whenever he couldn't be the best he just sulks and whines about how he's being wronged, even though Zack is the twin who honestly has more to be envious about, which is actually used to develop his character. What's even worse is we have annoying Cailey drama, on top of that we're supposed to feel sorry for Cody simply because Bailey shows appreciation for Zack's survival skills. Even though it was his ego that got them stranded and puts all the blame for his frustration on Zack. In fact, the irony I found was that in Suite Life on Deck, Zack becomes a better person while Cody becomes a worse person, and when he's with Maya learns to not be a womanizer, yet Cody does become one, even toward Bailey! In Marriage 101 it showcases why them as endgame is terrible, when the class is given a project to simulate Marriage, Cody displays how whiny and demanding he is, forcing Bailey to essentially pamper him and they spend the episode just arguing (as a side note, all of these examples listed have really back and forth arguing between Cody and Bailey, which makes them both obnoxious) My Sister's Keeper, arguably his worst appearance in the show, Cody is a full-on jerkass toward his roommate Woody, when he learns that his sister is attractive. (This happened during Cailey's breakup) to which Cody displays Zack's old womanizing personality and only goes out with Woody's sister simply out of shallowness. While treating Woody like crap btw, then only decides to dump her when she turns out to be a female Woody, because that doesn't make him shallow and unlikable at all. This is even worse when Cody reveals in the play episode that he carried feelings for Bailey even after the breakup, so he wanted to date another woman while having feelings for his ex! It literally takes Bailey's reaction to him making a play to spite her that he was in the wrong in breaking up with her! This also isn't mentioning other episodes where Cody (and Bailey tbh) are annoying, other examples include Smarticle Particles with how they treat London, Model Behavior, The Defiant Ones, and Senior Ditch Day!
@@Surgemaster2012 Smarticle Particles is the episode where Cody and Bailey made a bet that one of them can make London smart to make a B in her final. The main issue I have with this is how awful both Bailey and Cody are toward London, they essentially gaslight London into thinking she's smart by playing off a placebo, and rather than it be to actually showing London is capable it is all placed off of a bet between the two. She was basically being used just to see which one of them can make her perform better than the other. With Kitchen Cassanova, Cody's "apology" feels fake, because when class is over and Bailey confronts Cody about how all the girls in his cooking class are falling all over him and using the class as an excuse to flirt with him, despite Bailey outright saying she's his girlfriend, Cody's response after Bailey discusses how repulsed she felt is an exaggerated "guffaw Yeah" followed by an "all of them?" as if he found that attractive! This implies Cody enjoyed the fact every girl in class was hitting on him in front of his girlfriend! Also, Bailey's laugh was always so annoying!
It's an ongoing trend in Disney couple. Because they want make a new couple, they end up making the previous one come in bad loght. Recently it happened in HSMTMTS where they made EJ look bad so they can have Gina for Ricky
Why would you make such a TOXIC relationship for a kids show, and portray it as okay? Milee and Jake are horrible to each other, and it's played out as a joke.
What's crazy is apparently while dating IRL Shane thought he could pull a Spencer and you can guess with who.... fiction really does portray real life💀
I know nothing about Teddy and Spencer, but that Jake thing made me mad at the time. That was never part of his character. Self-absorbed, yes. Doesn’t understand normal people, yes. A liar and cheater, no. Just at the point that the show wanted to have Jesse be endgame. I will die on this hill.
Agreed , even as a kid , I was positive that a writer who didn’t like Jake just abused their powers and made a plot that would cause a breakup and kick him out of the story, even if it meant complete assassination of jakes character
@@bqw2094the sad part is : if they wanted a break uo they could have done it for another reason. I can't count tv couples who broke up cause one cheated. There are other ways to do it that make more sense but it is also harder. Even if it was because Jake for someone else, it can be done without the cheating part.
As to them making Jake seem like he was the love of Miley's life. It made sense to me. It's realistic. A lot of people, especially as teens, think like this and then shit hits the fan and the person turns out not to be who you thought they were. I like that they showed her first love didn't have to be endgame and that she could move on and find someone better for her.
i really hated how when teddy was with Bo and he has to leave for work the plot/joke of the episode is that she’s not really sad about it and is falling out of love with bo because he’s too close to her dad and genuinely interested in pest control as a career. it just felt really sad like Bo was very sweet and caring and there’s not a lot of teenage boys who are so sure of themselves and ambitious enough to pour themselves into a career that they love but they know others look down upon. i just felt like bo was a great love interest for her and they just randomly spin it so that teddy suddenly hates all these things she already knew about him so that she could get back together with spencer. i just wish they wouldn’t have done that or at the very least make bo more unlikeable so that it’s not so disappointing when she dumps him for a cheater
Suite life on deck has a Cody Bailey cheating plot line, although it didn’t actually happen it was a misunderstanding. Life with Derek also has Casey’s endgame partner cheat on her. And wizards of waverly place has Alex’s endgame partner say he is in love with someone else while with her, although he doesn’t cheat. But yes disney loved this idea of their “soulmates” cheating or things close to it
Honestly I kinda wish Disney didn’t make Jake cheat so late into the Hannah Montana series especially since he grew up so much and also because of that memorable clip show at around season three I honestly don’t know what Disney was thinking with this decision
Disney not only likes having cheaters in their shows but also loves to make the female leads get bk with guys who they broke up with for a reason like teddy n spencer and maddie and diggy i hated hateeeedddd when teddy n maddie got bk with those guys like spencer cheated and diggy literally hurt maddie and left her like what
Can you talk about how toxic was the Duncan family? Everyone seemed to make fun of Bob, his sons didn't even have respect to him and Amy since season 3 was pretty clear she regretted to marry him.
I always hated Amy The line "I really hope this next [child] is a girl." When she saw PJ do something dumb never sat well with me. She basically admitted she believes boys are dumb by default so she doesn't bother. She essentially gave up on PJ and Gabe. Though the worst thing she did in the show was when her family didn't want to do a group performance, so she hired people to pretend to be her family for that performance behind their backs. She sees her own family as nothing more than accessories for her own ego.
@@anothergamer112 and she didn't care Bob's opinion at all,Amy even said that he has just vow regarding driving and barbeque, anything aside that he can't interfere. It's so unfair that Bob is underestimated for being an exterminator, even his parents are jerks with him
To be fair, miley’s “he could be the one” is prolly a realistic portrayal of teen girls in love, as i say as a teen girl myself. Yes in context of the show, enforcing this idea into its young audience is not great, but miley couldve def felt that way about him so its not that far fetched
Unrelated: HATED that in Liv and Maddie, Maddie got back together with Diggie even tho he was so toxic and she found a nicer guy who treated her way better who she got along with better but she went back to smelly crusty Diggie
One Didn't like Jake or Spencer. Two I still believe even after watching this her mama was saying choose Jessie to be with. Three Alex and Mason was a toxic relationship, they were cute together but... it mainly had to do with who they were as individuals and not communicating their problems and trying to fix it.
@@gleamingroses2952 totally forgot about Cody & Bailey bc the whole Paris thing and after was toxic. Like they are right to have their feelings but they let it carry on instead of talking it out in a healthy way and understanding each other viewpoints.

I'm barely a minute into this video and between these 2 couples, Spencer cheating on Teddy bothers me more mainly because of how much of a douche he turned out to be in general
One thing about the Hannah Montana episode with the two scenes, it could've possibly been because of something Disney channel does or had done every so often. Heck, Nickelodeon even did it a few times. Every so often, they'd have a special episode and have the audience vote to decide what would happen. Sometimes, it was something like choosing which character should end up with the main character in question. The one I remember from Disney is Liv and Maddie, where there were two guys pining for Maddie's affection were her sister's co-star and her ex-boyfriend. I don't know if they ever showed an unreleased scene where she chose the co-star over her ex to prove this, but that's just my theory. I do agree that it was very abrupt how it was handled. Other shows like Wizards of Waverly Place and Liv and Maddie handled it better. Heck, Hannah Montana handled it better when she got together with Jesse after leaving Jake. There was enough time to understand it. He was there. Spencer . . . wasn't. Also, can we talk about the phenomenon in Disney channel shows where the main character's ex's ex ends up dating the main character's sibling or friend? This happens in both Good Luck Charlie AND Wizards of Waverly Place. The girl Spencer cheats on Teddy with becomes P.J.'s girlfriend and Mason's ex in WoWP, Juliet (played by the same girl who plays Teddy), becomes Justin's girlfriend. It's a very, very weird thing that happens in these shows and I just don't understand it. However, I find myself rooting for those couples MORE than the main character with their relationship. EDIT: Also, it's not the first time two co-stars dated and that being the reason why they stay together on the show. Liv and Maddie did the same thing and she was engaged to him for years. Only for them to break up and Dove Cameron going to date one of her co-stars from Descendants.
I think the "ex's ex dating sibling/friend" thing is just because it's one less person to cast and one less character to introduce. By having re-occuring characters date main characters, the show doesn't have to introduce too many people and take away from the ones who are already there
Yeah, Nick had Cheating scenes too.(in Drake & Josh, iCarly, and Victorious) For instance, Susan kissing and making out with Josh even though she was dating Drake. Drake having a date with on girl in episode "The Great Doheny" even though he was dating Carly. Cory cheating on Megan and Monica. And in iCarly Jonah making out with Carly even though he was dating same. And in iCarly and Victorious Steven cheated on Carly and Tori.
I will say with both of them, the idea of fate makes sense. As a former Highschooler (can't believe I had to say that LOL!), highschoolers tend to look for confirmation bias when it's something they really want. Think of, "If I'm supposed to go to this college/university, the wind will scatter the leaves on the ground" but in terms of relationships. The most basic events (like wind blowing leaves around), become a "sign" since the person really wants to do date someone and *only* that person. They're not thinking of breaking up with them, and because of that they leave it to fate since fate is a permanent thing. I doubt that's what the creators and crew working on these shows were going for, but it can still be used as a lesson for teens, especially teenage girls, who are crushing on guys. In terms of Miley, something that wouldn't matter since it happened millions of times (the wind blowing a paper towards her) became a sign because of the situation she was in. She went with Jake because it was a sign to her, only for her to be cheated on. You can argue the same with Teddy. Teddy's relationship with Spencer was good to see, not because of the love, but due to how realistic the situation is. Teddy knows Spencer is bad news, but because of a random psychic, her perspective changed. The psychic could easily be replaced with a friend or Teddy's own feelings (and if it was a Disney show, it would be full of "I must have did something that caused him to cheat," "Maybe he did that to see if he really loved me," etc), and would still lead to her perspective on Spencer changing. She's in high school, so he's still her "one true love"/first boyfriend and all of that, so it makes sense she would put him on a pedestal by giving him another chance (because who the hell would really reject someone only because of his laugh? Smh, dude was doomed from the start!). I'm not saying I agree with Teddy and Spencer getting back together. I have yet to be in a relationship, but I have seen relationships around me have similar things happen. Not every kids TV relationship has to be perfect. There're a range of relationships out there, and it's important to see the difference between healthy and unhealthy ones and ultimately how our desire to be with someone else so much can hurt us since we have to ignore red flags in order to get that "sign" or series of "signs". BUT they should make it clear that they're showing an unhealthy relationship, not romanticize it. Sorry for the long comment, I wanted to make sure I was thorough!
I think it's emotional cheating, especially considering she took time to choose between Jake and Jesse. If she had happened to choose Jesse, it would have been more obvious that she cheated, but since she chose Jake it was kind of swept under the rug.
Here’s why cheating is intentional: you could simply said to the person you’re no longer dating (or you want to divorce and get someone else after)! If you don’t have to guts to tell it, how do you have the guts to say “oh, I’m so sorry” when the person finds out you’re cheating? If you’re a cheater, I just hope you eat poop (my inner child felt great about saying that lol)! That’s it!
It's sad that this is what we are teaching kids nowadays...that cheating, and romance in general is just a part of a big joke. It's honestly depressing.
Even as a kid, I knew that Spencer shouldn’t have been forgiven and I was hella mad. It made no sense and it was disrespectful on all levels to have him forgiven like it was a minor inconvenience.
So does nickaloadeon they would ruin what people shipped before the cheating it ruined of the people you ship first and its hard when they get another partner and then the fact they bring them back into there lives after making them look like a horrible person i mean yes people give people second chances or a third but you got to realize in reality its going to take alot for them to trust you again Disney and nickelodeon needs to quit that
Disney really wanted us to root for the red flags lmao. Reminds me of Liv and Maddie because I HATED how Diggie ended up being with Maddie even though I had to beg my mom to vote for Josh for that one episode. I swear Josh won too 😂
holy shit, yeah! when i was a kid i noticed disney channel had 2 trends, the people we were rooting for wouldnt win the contest (but learnt a "valuable lesson" instead) and the guys who cheated always were forgiven, even as a child it was baffling and annoying, it didnt feel right lol
One thing I was always confused about: the He Could Be the One special was built up to hell and back, and they even had fans vote for who Miley should be with. Most voted Jake. What was the point of all that if the writers were just going to have him randomly cheat on her and have her get with Jesse immediately? Were the ratings low or something?
I heard a lot of people were mad and complained to Disney about her choosing Jake over Jesse so that’s why they broke them up. If they were gonna have them break up they could have at least gave them a proper breakup especially considering Jake cheating felt really out of character. I think it would have been interesting if she chose Jesse instead and Jake was upset but happy for Miley then Jesse cheated (he seems more like a cheater than Jake) and she ends up with Jake
They literally just did this on High School Musical The Musical The Series. I loved Sebastian and Carlos. They were my favorite couple in the show. But I felt that they got back together way too soon after Sebastian cheated with Big Red. Also, watching this as an adult I realize that Jake and Miley you are a very toxic couple from the start.
I don't think Disney should be portraying cheating unless they're also going to depict why the cheating happened. Cheating never just happens there's always a reason behind it. You could be bored with the relationship. You could feel disrespected in your relationship. You could feel less than and still seek more. You could be settling and still looking for a better option. My point being you cheated by should not be the whole premise of a cheating plot. I just wish I could see growth from both protagonist and antagonist
presenting as the true love cheating and not being the one was a great idea in my opinion, it shows that even if it seems that someone is the one for you it doesn't mean they are, and that sometimes what feels like the right choice just isn't, for me, when i was watching that relationship unfold when i was a child it wasn't shocking the cheating, as Jake was full of himself the whole show, I think it kinda represented a narcissist in a way, since there was never a time he choose her over himself, but that's how I see it. Also, I kinda feel like she chooses Jake out of familiarity and being comfortable since he was what she knew. The Teddy Spencer was just cuz the actors were dating irl and wanted to do so in the show too, terrible terrible storyline and teachings, never forgive a cheater
3:59- Which is such a manipulative thing to do using people to get back at someone like that. Disney taught such crappy lessons since the beginning. 12:09- That was my reasoning for me quitting Good Luck Charlie. I remember being angry that they had Teddy go back to the person who hurt her that badly. What the hell?!
Spencer’s cheating was also way worse than Jake’s. He actively had a whole other relationship while with Teddy and lied about it

Both are really bad of course and still cheating, but spending months dating someone as if you don't already have another person in your life? That's just cruel
Keep in mind he was cheating on BOTH of them. So it wasn’t just one person. IMAGINE IF HE WAS DATING IVY…she would rip him apart.

That's OOC of Emmett since ever since they were child, Emmett had been crushing on Teddy

I’m glad I’m not the only one who even as a kid thought that was wrong
Nope
I think it truly depends on the situation. But for Disney channel, they shouldn’t be doing that whole morally ambiguous route for kids. Kids don’t think in moral ambiguity until they’re older. They can learn that on their own and it’s best to teach them that being angry is valid, men shouldn’t expect to all be forgiven, and maybe also that men aren’t all cheaters.
Very much this! Cheating is unforgivable and not something someone who loves you would ever do.

Unfortunately modern media has this weird boner for portraying it as just an inconvenient mistake that can and will happen, that it’s normal and even hot sometimes, and they like getting those messages to us when we’re real young.
She is absolutely right, to even think of cheating you have the hate the person you're with. You would never do that of you loved them.
That actually makes sense because if you respect your partner, you would've just broke things off with them.
Plus she deserves better
And Mason-Alex. Mason is an abusive pos.
i remember loving mason what did he do 🧍♀️
Wait why is Spencer dating me lol😂😂
@@jakethedogluvsyouwho Mason ?

They don’t love you if they cheat. They love the benefits of being with you, but they don’t love you. Any woman would do.
That saying doesn't sit right with me. How can you love someone and then cheat on them?
i JUST saw the teddys choice episode, i kept screaming ‘f you!’ to spencer, cause not only did you cheat, move away, and start dating a few weeks after the break up you have the nerve to tell teddy you couldn’t stand watching her w another dude!? conveniently after you break up w the other girl?… now you wanna get back together after you see the new guy? ALSO when he was dating other people he still wanted to be friends but when she was with someone he didn’t wanna be her friend anymore? spencer can get rocked!
Yeah, what makes matters worst is the girl he dated when he moves away, LOOKS EXACTLY like Teddy like common now... What the hell
Yeah I remember that!😂 they shoved FOOD into his mouth!!😂😂😂 it was GLORIOUS!
I have ALWAYS felt like these particular shows were trying to make girls feel like cheating was inevitable and that they should forgive and stay with the guy and it makes me so upset🙃it might’ve just been to add drama but I have this terrible underlying feeling the male screenwriters were guilty of this behavior and wanted to “make a point that *all gUYs dO thAT* and should be given another chance please👉👈🥺” when it’s really just toxic behavior
my sentiments exactly ☝
I feel like cheating men must be writing these arcs because it's always aimed at young girls to accept this as normal.
Nah sorry if a man can cheat on you once, then he can do it again. No amount of “change” would make me trust that guy again lol
Nope get over it Jake and Miley over they belong together

i do like that both shows do show two seperate ways to go abt cheating as well
Teddy and Spencer ending up together will never not put me in a rage- I love couples with a complicated past who overcome it for the sake of their love or whatever but no just no I personally just can’t stand them as a couple
Justin and Juliet were my favorites along with Lilly and Oliver, honestly. Unproblematic af.
Justin/Julliet is honestly one of the better love stories they wrote, especially cuz it helped their characters & also Harper's move forward a lot. The chemistry between Brigit & David Henrie was tamer than most, but still worked well
I barely remember episodes with them. Just the mummy moments mainly. So many episodes lol. But mainly it was alex’s relationships that i remember.

Yes it happened in real life & what made it worse was Bridget & Samantha were best friends… Shane cheated on Bridget & then they started dating yikes
Man. Disney really hate seeing teenage girls having happy endings with someone new, huh? 😭
Hear me out- How Teddy love story should have been
She always told Spencer the time wasn’t right or maybe they will cross paths again right? Well, now that he cheated on her she realized not every person she had a relationship with in her life will cross paths with her again and bad timing doesn’t mean the right person. It wasn’t until she met Beau and they broke up because Beau had to move back to Texas. In the end of the series they cross paths again unexpectedly and that’s when Teddy knew Beau is the one for her.
This is going to be my headcanon, it's just so much better
To "normalize" it in the only way they knew how 😒
I remember during this time.
@@humanist.vampyrethank you for saying this! you see it everywhere in old movies and it tries so hard to be justified
Cheating is unforgivable, if you take a cheater back you’re stupid fr, there are like a million people out there who wouldn’t do that to you

That consequence of the cheaters is regret! REGRET!!!!
Exactly. They teach young girls to accept whatever and to not understand their worth.
Exactly, it always bothered me that they didn't acknowledge it
As a kid I wanted her to have both of them
Yeah that is also cheating. Emotional cheating, but still cheating
Teddy and Spencer getting back together infuriated me to no end. I prety much stopped watching every new episide that came out. I still kept up with it, but it really soured the experience
Also in liv and Maddie when Maddie goes back to diggie and although he didn’t cheat he straight up left her
Honestly spencer cheating made no sense.
TW: S**ual assault and domestic violence
Trish ended up marrying Chuck, who was creepy and rapey and flirted aggressively with her.
It's very common for overweight characters to not get happy love interest because they're the "joke character" and "unattractive"
And of course there was Dez as the joke character but that doesn't mean Trish wasn't either
They kinda also played in Latina stereotypes by making her lazy and napping a lot they kinda played on the lazy Mexican stereotype
But she also simultaneously always working everywhere and being kinda unappreciative if it like the stereotype of Latin americans stealing jobs in America
And then ofc the sassy Latina part as well.

The guy from Lemonade Mouth never cheated, though. But he was being a jerk at the beginning of the movie, though.
I just think it‘s a really toxic mindset to portray for young girls😕
nostalgia is a helluva drug. i love coming back to your videos to feel like i'm getting punched in the gut.
I remember it as my biggest shipping flop of all time. I shipped hard and lost BAD. Tragic.

I honestly thought that miley didn't like Jake just because he was being real annoying and self centered

I know. I love them together
Refresh me on how they are bad
In Marriage 101 it showcases why them as endgame is terrible, when the class is given a project to simulate Marriage, Cody displays how whiny and demanding he is, forcing Bailey to essentially pamper him and they spend the episode just arguing (as a side note, all of these examples listed have really back and forth arguing between Cody and Bailey, which makes them both obnoxious)
My Sister's Keeper, arguably his worst appearance in the show, Cody is a full-on jerkass toward his roommate Woody, when he learns that his sister is attractive.
@@gleamingroses2952 Oh yeah, I remember that was annoying. Remind me of Smarticle Particles? Also didn't Cody apologize in Kitchen Casonova?
@@gleamingroses2952 don't forget the episode where Cody wrote a play based on his breakup with Bailey and basically demonized her
It's an ongoing trend in Disney couple.
We’re hard pressed to see a healthy relationship on Disney channel. Closest to a solid, healthy relationship was Austin and Ally
Honestly, I didn't realize that love wasnt like Disney movie
What's crazy is apparently while dating IRL Shane thought he could pull a Spencer and you can guess with who.... fiction really does portray real life💀
Not only does Spenser cheat, but he lied and said she was his cousin.
Kid me not knowing the music references
Adult me watching Hannah Montanna with every song ever stuck in my head
Suite life on deck has a Cody Bailey cheating plot line, although it didn’t actually happen it was a misunderstanding. Life with Derek also has Casey’s endgame partner cheat on her. And wizards of waverly place has Alex’s endgame partner say he is in love with someone else while with her, although he doesn’t cheat. But yes disney loved this idea of their “soulmates” cheating or things close to it
Sonny and Chad were amazing! I wish they could have had their day in the sun as an ending
I always hated Amy
The line "I really hope this next [child] is a girl." When she saw PJ do something dumb never sat well with me.
It's so unfair that Bob is underestimated for being an exterminator, even his parents are jerks with him
@@anothergamer112
she KNOWS how boys CAN be stupid crazy dangerous and all and so I don’t really blame her
@@fergonzalez1650she never really had to care bob’s opinion
Out of all Disney couples the most toxic ones are Cody/Bailey and Alex/Mason.
@@gleamingroses2952 totally forgot about Cody & Bailey bc the whole Paris thing and after was toxic. Like they are right to have their feelings but they let it carry on instead of talking it out in a healthy way and understanding each other viewpoints.
@@adrianmikel The Cailey drama was awful and toxic, Cody was easily the worst of the two in the relationship, but I hated Cody and Bailey whenever they had their Cailey drama. When it comes to Cody he's easily the scrappy for me. For one, there's his 6-month plan to win Bailey, which is downright creepy, and how he just simps over her in general.
Other episodes further exemplify why Cailey is the worst.
@@gleamingroses2952 I haven’t rewatched the show to do analyst of it but whenever I do ill
Keep this in mind.
Also the fact he made a whole play based on their relationship & break up in his way as him being the sweet romantic one and Bailey being the villain well it pained her as another word mainly used for woman, try to get the girl to play her own character in his warped version and gaslighting her to think it’s not her.
The teacher didn’t help as it was clearly a way to attack & belittle Bailey
I'm barely a minute into this video and between these 2 couples, Spencer cheating on Teddy bothers me more mainly because of how much of a douche he turned out to be in general
To me, the best Disney channel show relationship was Raven and Devon
Technically didn't Miley cheated on jake first? Like emotionally , are we not going to acknowledge that.
Actually she didn't cheat, she admitted that she was tempted by Jesse out loud because she's an idiot and Jake heard as he walked in the studio.
So does nickaloadeon they would ruin what people shipped before the cheating it ruined of the people you ship first and its hard when they get another partner and then the fact they bring them back into there lives after making them look like a horrible person i mean yes people give people second chances or a third but you got to realize in reality its going to take alot for them to trust you again Disney and nickelodeon needs to quit that
teddy and skylar shouldve ended up together instead
What does cheating even mean at that age?
DANG they made her get back with him???
WHY WOULD YOU PORTRAY THAT IN A KIDS SHOW???
They literally just did this on High School Musical The Musical The Series. I loved Sebastian and Carlos. They were my favorite couple in the show. But I felt that they got back together way too soon after Sebastian cheated with Big Red. Also, watching this as an adult I realize that Jake and Miley you are a very toxic couple from the start.
I was HEATED when Teddy got back with Spencer
I don't think Disney should be portraying cheating unless they're also going to depict why the cheating happened. Cheating never just happens there's always a reason behind it. You could be bored with the relationship. You could feel disrespected in your relationship. You could feel less than and still seek more. You could be settling and still looking for a better option. My point being you cheated by should not be the whole premise of a cheating plot. I just wish I could see growth from both protagonist and antagonist
I was glad that Miley chose Jessie in the end rather since I hated jake
I totally forgot Miley’s mom in the show was BROOKE SHIELDS
Honestly it's great that you talked about it. When I first started dating I expected for my lover to cheat because of them showing that it happens.
the skylar/ Spencer thing happened in real life. She was dating him in real life, and he cheated on him with the actress who plays Skylar!
presenting as the true love cheating and not being the one was a great idea in my opinion, it shows that even if it seems that someone is the one for you it doesn't mean they are, and that sometimes what feels like the right choice just isn't, for me, when i was watching that relationship unfold when i was a child it wasn't shocking the cheating, as Jake was full of himself the whole show, I think it kinda represented a narcissist in a way, since there was never a time he choose her over himself, but that's how I see it.
